27 但上帝拣选了世人看为愚昧的，要使智者羞愧；上帝拣选了世上软弱的，要使强者蒙羞； 28 上帝拣选了世上卑贱的、被藐视的和无足轻重的，要使世人看为举足轻重的变得无足轻重。 29 这样，谁都不能在上帝面前自夸了。
30 上帝使你们活在基督耶稣里，祂使基督耶稣成为我们的智慧、公义、圣洁和救赎。 31 所以，正如圣经上说：“要夸耀，就当夸耀主的作为。”

27 但是 神却拣选了世上愚笨的，使那些有智慧的羞愧。他也拣选了世上软弱的，使那些刚强的羞愧。 28 他也拣选了世上卑贱的和被人轻视的，以及算不得甚么的，为了要废弃那些自以为是的， 29 使所有的人在 神面前都不能自夸。 30 你们因着 神得以在基督耶稣里，他使基督成了我们的智慧；就是公义、圣洁和救赎， 31 正如经上所说的：
“夸口的应当靠着主夸口。”

27 But God chose(A) the foolish(B) things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not(C)—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him.(D) 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus,(E) who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness,(F) holiness(G) and redemption.(H) 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”[a](I)
