9 第五位天使吹號的時候，我見有一顆星從天上墜落到地上，有無底坑的鑰匙賜給它。 2 它打開無底坑時，濃煙從坑裡冒出來，好像大火爐的煙一樣，太陽和天空都變得昏暗了。 3 有蝗蟲從煙裡飛出來，落到地上，有地上蠍子的能力賜給牠們。 4 牠們得到命令，不得毀壞地上的青草、樹木和其他植物，只傷害額上沒有上帝印記的人， 5 但不可殺死他們，只折磨他們五個月。那種折磨就像被蠍子蟄到一樣。 6 那時候，人求死，卻求不到；想死，死卻躲避他們。
7 那些蝗蟲好像預備出征的戰馬一樣，頭上好像戴了金冠，面孔好像人臉， 8 毛髮好像女人的頭髮，牙齒好像獅子的牙， 9 胸前有甲，如同鐵甲，鼓動翅膀時聲音如同千軍萬馬奔赴戰場。 10 牠們像蠍子一樣尾巴上有毒鉤，可以折磨人五個月。 11 牠們的王是無底坑的天使，希伯來文名叫亞巴頓，希臘文名叫亞玻倫，意思是「毀滅者」。
12 第一樣災禍過去了，另外兩樣接踵而來。
13 第六位天使吹號的時候，我聽見有一個聲音從上帝面前的金祭壇的四個角發出來， 14 對剛才吹號的第六位天使說：「將那捆綁在幼發拉底河的四個天使放出來！」 15 那四個天使就被釋放了，他們為了此年、此月、此日、此刻已經預備好了，要殺掉人類的三分之一。 16 我聽見他們共有二億兵馬。 17 我在異象中看見了馬和騎士。騎士胸甲的顏色像火焰、紫瑪瑙和硫磺。馬的頭像獅子的頭，口中噴出火、煙和硫磺。 18 馬口中噴出的這三樣災害殺死了世上三分之一的人口。 19 這些馬的殺傷力不只在口，也在尾巴。牠們的尾巴像蛇，有頭能咬傷人。
20 其餘沒有被這些災害所殺的人仍不肯悔改、停止手中的惡行，還是去拜魔鬼和那些用金、銀、銅、石、木所造，不能看、不能聽、不能行走的偶像。 21 他們不肯爲自己所犯的兇殺、邪術、淫亂和偷盜悔改。

9 第五位天使吹号，我就看见一颗星从天上落到地上，有无底坑的钥匙赐给它。 2 它开了无底坑，就有烟从坑里冒出来，好象大火炉的烟，太阳和天空因这坑的烟就都变黑了。 3 有蝗虫从烟里出来到了地上；有能力赐给牠们，好象地上蝎子的能力一样。 4 有话吩咐牠们，不可伤害地上的草，和所有青翠的东西，以及所有的树木，只可伤害那些额上没有 神印记的人。 5 蝗虫没有能力杀死他们，只可使他们受痛苦五个月。他们的痛苦就像人给蝎子螫了的痛苦一样。 6 在那些日子，人要求死，却决不得死；切愿要死，死却远离他们。
7 蝗虫的形象，好象是预备好了要上阵的战马一样。牠们头上戴的好象金冠冕，脸像人的面孔， 8 牠们的头发好象女人的头发，牙齿好象狮子的牙齿； 9 牠们的胸甲像铁甲，牠们翅膀的声音好象许多马车奔驰上阵的声音。 10 牠们好象蝎子一样有尾巴和毒刺，牠们的尾巴能伤害人五个月。 11 牠们有无底坑的使者作王统治牠们。这王的名字，希伯来话叫阿巴顿，希腊话叫阿波伦。
12 第一样灾祸过去了。看哪，以后还有两样灾祸要来！
13 第六位天使吹号，我听见有一个声音从 神面前金坛的四角发出来， 14 对拿着号筒的第六位天使说：“把捆绑在幼发拉底大河的那四个使者放了吧！” 15 那四个使者就被释放了，他们已经预备好，要在某年某月某日某时杀害人类的三分之一。 16 马兵的数目有二万万；他们这个数目我听见了。 17 在异象中，我看见那些马和骑马的是这样：骑马的穿著火红紫青和硫磺色的胸甲，马的头好象狮子头，有火、烟和硫磺从马的口中喷出来。 18 马口中喷出来的火、烟和硫磺这三种灾害，杀死了人类的三分之一。 19 马的能力是在口中和尾巴上。牠们的尾巴像蛇，并且有头用来伤人。
20 其余没有在这些灾难中被杀的人，仍然不为他们手所作的悔改，还是去拜鬼魔和那些金、银、铜、石头、木头做的，不能看、不能听、也不能走路的偶像。 21 他们也不为自己的凶杀、邪术、淫乱和偷盗悔改。

9 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven fallen unto the earth: and there was given to him the key of the pit of the abyss. 2 And he opened the pit of the abyss; and there went up a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And out of the smoke came forth locusts upon the earth; and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was said unto them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only such men as have not the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 And it was given them that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when it striketh a man. 6 And in those days men shall seek death, and shall in no wise find it; and they shall desire to die, and death fleeth from them. 7 And the [a]shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared for war; and upon their heads as it were crowns like unto gold, and their faces were as men’s faces. 8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots, of many horses rushing to war. 10 And they have tails like unto scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men five months. 11 They have over them as king the angel of the abyss: his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek tongue he hath the name [b]Apollyon.
12 The first Woe is past: behold, there come yet two Woes hereafter.
13 And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard [c]a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 one saying to the sixth angel that had the trumpet, Loose the four angels that are bound at the great river Euphrates. 15 And the four angels were loosed, that had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, that they should kill the third part of men. 16 And the number of the armies of the horsemen was twice ten thousand times ten thousand: I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates as of fire and of hyacinth and of brimstone: and the heads of the horses are as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths proceedeth fire and smoke and brimstone. 18 By these three plagues was the third part of men killed, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone, which proceeded out of their mouths. 19 For the power of the horses is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails are like unto serpents, and have heads; and with them they hurt. 20 And the rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not [d]worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk: 21 and they repented not of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.

9 And the fifth angel blew the trumpet. And I saw a star fall from Heaven to the Earth. And to him was given the key to the bottomless pit.
2 And he opened the bottomless pit. And there arose the smoke of the pit; the smoke of a great furnace. And the Sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit.
3 And there came locusts upon the Earth, out of the smoke. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the Earth have power.
4 And they were commanded not to hurt the grass of the Earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree; but only those men who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads.
5 And they were commanded not to kill them; but that they should be tormented for five months, and that their pain should be as the pain that comes from a scorpion when he has stung a man.
6 Therefore, in those days, man shall seek death and shall not find it; and shall desire to die and death shall flee from them.
7 And the appearance of the locusts was like that of horses prepared for battle. And on their heads were something like crowns, like gold. And their faces were like the faces of men.
8 And they had hair as the hair of women. And their teeth were as the teeth of lions.
9 And they had breastplates, like breastplates of iron. And the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots when many horses run into battle.
10 And they had tails like scorpions. And there were stings in their tails with power to hurt man for five months.
11 And they have a king over them - the angel of the bottomless pit - whose name in Hebrew is ‘Abaddon’. And in Greek, he is named ‘Apollyon’; that is, ‘destroying’.
12 One woe is past! And behold, yet two more woes come after this!
13 Then the sixth angel blew the trumpet. And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar, which is before God,
14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound in the great river Euphrates!”
15 And the four angels who had been appointed an hour a day a month and a year to slay a third of mankind, were released.
16 And the number of horsemen of war were twenty thousand times ten thousand; for I heard the number of them.
17 And thus I saw the horses in a vision - and those who sat on them - having fiery breastplates of hyacinth and of brimstone. And the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions. And out of their mouths went forth fire and smoke and brimstone.
18 By these three was a third of mankind killed; that is, of the fire and of the smoke and of the brimstone which came out of their mouths.
19 For their power is in their mouths, and in their tails. For their tails were like serpents; and had heads with which they do harm.
20 And the remnant of man who were not killed by these plagues did not repent of the works of their hands (so that they would not worship devils, and idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which neither can see, nor hear, nor go).
21 Also they did not repent of their murder, and of their sorcery, nor of their fornication, nor of their theft.
