7 这些事情之后，我看见四位天使分别站在地的四个角落控制着四面的风，使风不再吹向地面、海洋和树木。 2 我又看见一位天使从东方日出之地上来，手里拿着永活上帝的印。他对那领受权柄能伤害地和海的四位天使大声说： 3 “我们还没在上帝的奴仆额上盖印之前，你们不可伤害地、海和树木。” 4 我听见以色列各支派中盖了印的共有十四万四千人： 5 犹大支派有一万二千，吕便支派有一万二千，迦得支派有一万二千， 6 亚设支派有一万二千，拿弗他利支派有一万二千，玛拿西支派有一万二千， 7 西缅支派有一万二千，利未支派有一万二千，以萨迦支派有一万二千， 8 西布伦支派有一万二千，约瑟支派有一万二千，便雅悯支派有一万二千。

9 后来我又看见一大群人，多得不可胜数。他们来自各国家、各部落、各民族、各语言族群，身穿白袍，手拿棕树枝，站在宝座和羔羊面前， 10 大声呼喊说：“救恩来自我们坐在宝座上的上帝，也来自羔羊！” 11 众天使都站在宝座、众长老和四个活物的周围，在宝座前俯伏敬拜上帝，说： 12 “阿们！愿颂赞、荣耀、智慧、感谢、尊贵、权柄、能力都归给我们的上帝，直到永永远远。阿们！”
13 长老中有一位问我：“这些身穿白袍的人是谁？他们从哪里来？”
14 我回答说：“先生，你知道答案。”
他便说：“这些都是经过大灾难的人，他们用羔羊的血将衣裳洗得纯净洁白。 15 因此，他们在宝座前，在圣殿中不分昼夜地事奉上帝。坐在宝座上的那位要庇护他们。 16 他们不会再受饥饿和干渴的折磨，也不会再受太阳和酷热的煎熬， 17 因为在宝座中央的羔羊要做他们的牧人，引导他们到生命之泉那里，上帝要擦干他们所有的眼泪。”

The Sealed of Israel
7 After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, (A)holding the four winds of the earth, (B)that the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree. 2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, 3 saying, (C)“Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God (D)on their foreheads.” 4 (E)And I heard the number of those who were sealed. (F)One hundred and forty-four thousand (G)of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
5 of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were [a]sealed;
of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed;
6 of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed;
7 of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed;
8 of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed;
of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
A Multitude from the Great Tribulation
9 After these things I looked, and behold, (H)a great multitude which no one could number, (I)of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, (J)clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, saying, (K)“Salvation belongs to our God (L)who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 (M)All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and (N)worshiped God, 12 (O)saying:
“Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom,
Thanksgiving and honor and power and might,
Be to our God forever and ever.
Amen.”
13 Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “Who are these arrayed in (P)white robes, and where did they come from?”
14 And I said to him, [b]“Sir, you know.”
So he said to me, (Q)“These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and (R)washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will (S)dwell among them. 16 (T)They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; (U)the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; 17 for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne (V)will shepherd them and lead them to [c]living fountains of waters. (W)And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

7 Sedan fick jag se fyra änglar stå vid jordens fyra hörn, och de hindrade de fyra vindarna från att blåsa över jorden, över havet eller mot något träd. 2 Jag fick också se en annan ängel komma upp från öster, och han hade med sig den levande Gudens sigill. Han ropade högt till de fyra änglarna, som hade fått makt att skada jorden och havet: 3 ”Skada inte jorden, havet eller träden förrän vi har märkt vår Guds tjänare med ett sigill på pannan.”
4 Jag fick höra hur många som hade blivit märkta med sigill. Det var 144 000,[a] och de kom från alla Israels stammar:
5 12 000 från Judas stam var märkta med sigill,
12 000 från Rubens stam,
12 000 från Gads stam,
6 12 000 från Ashers stam,
12 000 från Naftalis stam,
12 000 från Manasses[b] stam,
7 12 000 från Simons stam,
12 000 från Levis stam,
12 000 från Isaskars stam,
8 12 000 från Sebulons stam,
12 000 från Josefs stam och
12 000 från Benjamins stam.
Den stora skaran hyllar Gud och Lammet
9 Sedan fick jag se en stor skara människor som ingen kunde räkna. De var från alla folk och stammar och länder och språk, och de stod inför tronen och Lammet, klädda i vita dräkter och med palmkvistar i sina händer. 10 De ropade högt:
”Frälsningen finns hos vår Gud,
han som sitter på tronen,
och hos Lammet.”
11 Alla änglarna stod runt tronen och runt de himmelska ledarna och de fyra levande varelserna, och de föll ner på sina ansikten inför tronen och tillbad Gud 12 och sa:
”Amen.
Pris, härlighet,
vishet och tacksägelse,
ära, makt och kraft tillhör vår Gud
i all evighet.
Amen.”
13 Sedan frågade en av de äldste mig: ”Dessa som är klädda i vita dräkter, vilka är de, och varifrån kommer de?”
14 ”Min herre”, svarade jag, ”du är den som vet det.”
Då sa han till mig: ”Det är de som kommer ur det stora lidandet. De har tvättat sina dräkter rena och gjort dem vita i Lammets blod.[c] 15 Det är därför
de står här inför Guds tron
och tjänar honom dag och natt i hans tempel.
Han som sitter på tronen
ska slå upp sitt tält över dem.
16 De ska aldrig mer gå hungriga eller törstiga,
och varken solen
eller någon annan brännande hetta ska skada dem.
17 För Lammet, som står mitt för tronen,
ska vara deras herde
och leda dem till källorna med livets vatten[d].
Och Gud ska torka alla tårar från deras ögon.”

- 7:4 De 144 000 är ett symboliskt tal, 12×12×1 000. Det står antingen för alla troende eller för alla judar som har börjat tro på Jesus som Messias. Se också not till 21:16.
- 7:6 Manasse hörde egentligen till Josefs stam, eftersom han var Josefs son. Men Manasse fick ersätta Dans stam, eftersom de hade blivit avgudadyrkare enligt Dom 18:30.
- 7:14 De har blivit rättfärdiga inför Gud genom tron på att Jesus tog straffet för människornas synder då han dog och offrade sitt blod.
