5 我看見那位坐在寶座上的，右手拿著書卷，這書卷的兩面都寫滿了字，用七個印封著。 2 我又看見一位大力的天使，大聲宣告說：“誰配展開那書卷，拆開它的封印呢？” 3 在天上、地上、地底下，沒有一個能夠展開書卷觀看的。 4 因為沒有人配展開觀看書卷，我就大哭。 5 長老中有一位對我說：“不要哭！看哪，那從猶大支派出來的獅子，大衛的根，他已經得勝了，他能夠展開那書卷，拆開它的七印。”
6 我又看見在寶座和四個活物中間，並且在眾長老中間，有羊羔站著，像是被殺過的。他有七角七眼，就是 神的七靈，奉差遣到全地去的。 7 羊羔走過去，從坐在寶座上那位的右手中取了書卷。 8 他拿了書卷之後，四個活物和二十四位長老就俯伏在羊羔面前，各拿著琴和盛滿了香的金爐，這香就是眾聖徒的祈禱。 9 他們唱著新歌，說：
“你配取書卷，配拆開封印，
因為你曾被殺，曾用你的血，
從各支派、各方言、各民族、各邦國，
把人買了來歸給 神，
10 使他們成為我們 神的國度和祭司，
他們要在地上執掌王權。”
11 我又觀看，聽見了千千萬萬天使的聲音，他們都在寶座、活物和長老的四周， 12 大聲說：
“被殺的羊羔是配得
權能、豐富、智慧、力量、
尊貴、榮耀、頌讚的！”
13 我又聽見在天上、地上、地底下和海裡的一切被造之物，以及天地間的萬有，都說：
“願頌讚、尊貴、榮耀、能力，
都歸給坐在寶座上的那一位和羊羔，
直到永永遠遠！”
14 四個活物就說：“阿們！”眾長老也俯伏敬拜。

The Lamb takes the scroll
5 Then I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one seated on the throne. It had writing on the front and the back, and it was sealed with seven seals. 2 I saw a powerful angel, who proclaimed in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?” 3 But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or look inside it. 4 So I began to weep and weep, because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look inside it. 5 Then one of the elders said to me, “Don’t weep. Look! The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has emerged victorious so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals.”
6 Then, in between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders, I saw a Lamb, standing as if it had been slain. It had seven horns and seven eyes, which are God’s seven spirits, sent out into the whole earth. 7 He came forward and took the scroll from the right hand of the one seated on the throne. 8 When he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each held a harp and gold bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 They took up a new song, saying,
“You are worthy to take the scroll and open its seals,
because you were slain,
and by your blood you purchased for God
persons from every tribe, language, people, and nation.
10 You made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
and they will rule on earth.”
11 Then I looked, and I heard the sound of many angels surrounding the throne, the living creatures, and the elders. They numbered in the millions—thousands upon thousands. 12 They said in a loud voice,
“Worthy is the slaughtered Lamb
to receive power, wealth, wisdom, and might,
and honor, glory, and blessing.”
13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea—I heard everything everywhere say,
“Blessing, honor, glory, and power
belong to the one seated on the throne
and to the Lamb
forever and always.”
14 Then the four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshipped.

5 Puis je vis dans la main droite de celui qui était assis sur le trône un livre écrit à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur, fermé grâce à sept sceaux[a]. 2 Je vis aussi un ange puissant proclamer d'une voix forte: «Qui est digne d'ouvrir le livre et d'en briser les sceaux?» 3 Mais personne, ni dans le ciel ni sur la terre ni sous la terre, ne pouvait ouvrir le livre ni le regarder. 4 Je pleurais beaucoup parce que personne n’avait été trouvé digne d'ouvrir le livre et de le regarder. 5 Alors l'un des anciens me dit: «Ne pleure pas, car le lion de la tribu de Juda, le rejeton de la racine de David, a vaincu pour ouvrir le livre et ses sept sceaux.»
6 Puis je vis, au milieu du trône et des quatre êtres vivants et au milieu des anciens, un agneau debout comme offert en sacrifice. Il avait sept cornes et sept yeux, qui sont les sept esprits de Dieu envoyés par toute la terre. 7 Il vint prendre [le livre] de la main droite de celui qui était assis sur le trône.
8 Quand il eut pris le livre, les quatre êtres vivants et les vingt-quatre anciens se prosternèrent devant l'agneau. Chacun tenait une harpe et des coupes d'or remplies de parfums, qui sont les prières des saints[b], 9 et ils chantaient un cantique nouveau en disant: «Tu es digne de prendre le livre et d'en ouvrir les sceaux, car tu as été offert en sacrifice et tu as racheté pour Dieu par ton sang des hommes de toute tribu, de toute langue, de tout peuple et de toute nation. 10 Tu as fait d'eux des rois et des prêtres pour notre Dieu, et ils régneront sur la terre.»
11 Je regardai et j'entendis la voix de nombreux anges rassemblés autour du trône, des êtres vivants et des anciens; ils étaient des myriades de myriades et des milliers de milliers. 12 Ils disaient d'une voix forte: «L'Agneau qui a été offert en sacrifice est digne de recevoir la puissance, la richesse, la sagesse, la force, l'honneur, la gloire et la louange.»
13 Toutes les créatures qui sont dans le ciel, sur la terre, sous la terre, sur la mer, tous les êtres qui s'y trouvent, je les entendis s’écrier: «A celui qui est assis sur le trône et à l'Agneau soient la louange, l'honneur, la gloire et la domination, aux siècles des siècles!» 14 Les quatre êtres vivants répondaient: «Amen!» Et les anciens se prosternèrent et adorèrent.
