天上的宝座
4 这些事以后，我观看，看哪，天上有一个敞开的门。我先前所听见的，那如同号角对我说话的声音就说：“你上到这里来！我要把此后必须发生的事指示给你。”
2 我立刻就在灵里了，看哪，有一个宝座安放在天上，有一位坐在宝座上。 3 坐着的那一位，[a]看起来仿佛碧玉和红宝石；又有一道彩虹[b]围着宝座，看起来仿佛绿宝石。 4 座位[c]的周围，还有二十四个座位[d]；[e]在那些宝座上，坐着二十四位长老，身穿白衣，头戴金冠冕； 5 从宝座中发出闪电、声音和雷鸣；在宝座前，有七支燃烧着的火把，就是神的七个灵； 6 宝座前面，好像玻璃海，仿佛水晶；在宝座中间和宝座周围，有四个活物，遍体前后布满眼睛。 7 第一个活物仿佛狮子，第二个活物仿佛牛犊，第三个活物有像人一样的脸，第四个活物仿佛飞翔的鹰。 8 那四个活物，各个都有六个翅膀，遍体内外都布满了眼睛。他们日夜不停地[f]说：
9 每当四个活物把荣耀、尊贵和感谢归给坐在宝座上、活到永永远远的那一位时， 10 二十四位长老就俯伏在坐宝座的那一位面前，敬拜活到永永远远的那一位，并且把自己的冠冕放在宝座前，说：
11 “我们的主、我们的神哪[i]，
你配接受荣耀、尊贵和权能，
因为你创造了万有；
万有是因着你的旨意而存在、被创造的。”

4 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.
7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.
8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.
9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,
10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

4 Après cela, je vis une porte ouverte dans le ciel. Et la voix que j’avais entendue me parler au début et qui résonnait comme une trompette me dit : Monte ici, et je te montrerai ce qui doit arriver après cela.
La vision du trône de Dieu[a]
2 A l’instant, l’Esprit se saisit de moi. Et voici : il y avait un trône dans le ciel. Et sur ce trône quelqu’un siégeait. 3 Celui qui siégeait avait l’aspect d’une pierre de jaspe et de sardoine. Un arc-en-ciel entourait le trône, brillant comme l’émeraude.
4 Autour du trône se trouvaient vingt-quatre trônes. Et sur ces trônes siégeaient vingt-quatre représentants du peuple de Dieu[b]. Ils étaient vêtus de blanc, et portaient des couronnes d’or sur la tête. 5 Du trône jaillissaient des éclairs, des voix et des coups de tonnerre. Devant le trône brûlaient sept flambeaux ardents, qui sont les sept esprits de Dieu. 6 Devant le trône s’étendait comme une mer de verre, transparente comme du cristal. Au milieu du trône et tout autour se tenaient quatre êtres vivants entièrement couverts d’yeux, devant et derrière.
7 Le premier d’entre eux ressemblait à un lion, le deuxième à un jeune taureau, le troisième avait le visage pareil à celui d’un homme et le quatrième était semblable à un aigle en plein vol. 8 Chacun de ces quatre êtres vivants avait six ailes couvertes d’yeux par-dessus et par-dessous. Jour et nuit, ils ne cessent de dire :
Saint, saint, saint
est le Seigneur Dieu[c] ,
le Tout-Puissant,
celui qui était,
qui est et qui vient.
9 Et chaque fois que les êtres vivants présentent leur adoration, leur hommage et leur reconnaissance à celui qui siège sur le trône, à celui qui vit éternellement, 10 les vingt-quatre représentants du peuple de Dieu se prosternent devant celui qui siège sur le trône et adorent celui qui vit éternellement. Ils déposent leurs couronnes devant le trône, 11 en disant :
Tu es digne,
notre Seigneur
et notre Dieu,
qu’on te donne gloire,
honneur et puissance,
car tu as créé
tout ce qui existe,
l’univers entier
doit son existence
et sa création
à ta volonté.

The Throne in Heaven
4 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open(A) in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet(B) said, “Come up here,(C) and I will show you what must take place after this.”(D) 2 At once I was in the Spirit,(E) and there before me was a throne in heaven(F) with someone sitting on it. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper(G) and ruby.(H) A rainbow(I) that shone like an emerald(J) encircled the throne. 4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders.(K) They were dressed in white(L) and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder.(M) In front of the throne, seven lamps(N) were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a](O) of God. 6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass,(P) clear as crystal.
In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures,(Q) and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.(R) 7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.(S) 8 Each of the four living creatures(T) had six wings(U) and was covered with eyes all around,(V) even under its wings. Day and night(W) they never stop saying:
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne(Z) and who lives for ever and ever,(AA) 10 the twenty-four elders(AB) fall down before him(AC) who sits on the throne(AD) and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
