3 —Ao anjo da igreja em Sardes escreva isto:
“Aquele que tem os sete espíritos de Deus e as sete estrelas diz o seguinte:
“Eu sei o que vocês fazem e que vocês têm a fama de estarem vivos, mas na verdade estão mortos. 2 Despertem e fortaleçam aquilo que vocês ainda têm, antes que morra completamente. Pois eu tenho notado que as suas obras não são perfeitas diante do meu Deus. 3 Lembrem-se, pois, do ensino que vocês receberam e ouviram. Continuem a obedecê-lo e mudem a sua forma de pensar e de viver. Se vocês não despertarem, eu irei como um ladrão e vocês não ficarão sabendo a hora em que eu os surpreenderei.
4 “Contudo, algumas pessoas entre vocês aí em Sardes não contaminaram as suas roupas. Essas pessoas andarão comigo vestidas de branco, pois são dignas. 5 Aquele que vencer se vestirá assim, com roupas brancas, e de modo nenhum apagarei o seu nome do Livro da Vida. Pelo contrário, reconhecerei o seu nome diante do meu Pai e dos seus anjos.
6 “Aquele que ouve, obedeça ao que o Espírito diz às igrejas”.
Mensagem à igreja em Filadélfia
7 —Ao anjo da igreja em Filadélfia escreva isto:
“Aquele que é santo e verdadeiro, que tem a chave que pertencia a Davi, que abre para que ninguém possa fechar e que fecha para que ninguém possa abrir[a], diz o seguinte:
8 “Eu sei o que vocês fazem. Olhem, eu tenho colocado diante de vocês uma porta aberta que ninguém pode fechar. Sei que vocês não têm muita força, entretanto têm obedecido ao meu ensino e não têm me negado. 9 Olhem, alguns homens mentem, pois se dizem judeus embora não o sejam (eles são da sinagoga de Satanás). Eu farei com que eles venham e se ajoelhem aos pés de vocês e que saibam que eu os amo. 10 Porque vocês têm obedecido à minha ordem para ter paciência, eu também os protegerei da hora da provação que virá sobre o mundo inteiro, para pôr à prova aqueles que habitam na terra.
11 “Eu virei em breve; portanto, conservem o que vocês têm para que ninguém tome a sua coroa. 12 Aquele que vencer passará a ser coluna do templo do meu Deus e dali ele jamais sairá. Também gravarei sobre ele o meu novo nome, o nome do meu Deus e o nome da cidade do meu Deus. Esta cidade é a nova Jerusalém[b] que descerá do céu, vinda da parte do meu Deus.
13 “Aquele que ouve, obedeça ao que o Espírito diz às igrejas”.
Mensagem à igreja em Laodiceia
14 —Ao anjo da igreja em Laodiceia escreva isto:
“O Amém[c], a testemunha fiel e verdadeira, aquele que tem autoridade[d] sobre toda a criação de Deus diz o seguinte:
15 “Eu sei o que vocês fazem e sei que vocês não são nem frios nem quentes. Quem dera vocês fossem ou frios ou quentes! 16 Assim, porque vocês são mornos e não são nem quentes nem frios, estou a ponto de vomitá-los da minha boca. 17 Pois vocês dizem: ‘Nós somos ricos; temos de tudo e não precisamos de nada’. Mas na realidade vocês nem sabem que estão nus e que são miseráveis, infelizes, pobres e cegos. 18 Eu os aconselho a comprar de mim ouro refinado pelo fogo, para que vocês de fato fiquem ricos. Comprem também roupas brancas para se vestirem, a fim de que a sua vergonhosa nudez não apareça. Comprem ainda colírio para os seus olhos, para que vocês possam ver.
19 “Eu repreendo e disciplino todos aqueles que amo. Sejam, pois, dedicados e mudem a sua forma de pensar e de viver. 20 Escutem, eu estou à porta e bato. Se alguém ouvir a minha voz e abrir a porta, entrarei em sua casa e comerei com ele e ele comerá comigo. 21 Àquele que vencer eu darei o privilégio de se sentar comigo no meu trono, assim como eu também venci e me sentei com o meu Pai no seu trono.
22 “Aquele que ouve, obedeça ao que o Espírito diz às igrejas”.

3 「你要寫信告訴撒狄教會的天使，有上帝的七靈又有七顆星的主說，
『我知道你的行為，你名義上活著，實際上是死的。 2 你要警醒！把所剩無幾、奄奄一息的生命振作起來，因為我發現你的行為在我的上帝面前不純全。 3 因此，要回想你以前所領受、所聽見的教導，遵守這些教導，並且悔改。你若不警醒，我必在你意想不到的時候像賊一樣忽然來到。 4 不過在撒狄，你還有幾個人未曾玷污自己的衣服，他們要穿白袍與我同行，因為他們配得這樣。 5 得勝者必同樣穿上白袍，我絕不會從生命冊上抹去他的名字，我必在我父和眾天使面前承認他的名。
6 『聖靈對各教會所說的話，凡有耳朵的都應當聽。』
給非拉鐵非教會的信
7 「你要寫信告訴非拉鐵非教會的天使，那位聖潔、真實、拿著大衛的鑰匙、開了門無人能關、關了門無人能開的主說，
8 『我知道你的行為，你力量微小，卻遵守了我的教導，沒有背棄我的名。所以，看啊！我在你面前為你打開了一扇無人能關閉的門。 9 看啊！我要使撒旦的同夥，就是那些假冒猶太人的說謊者，在你面前俯伏下拜，讓他們知道你是我所疼愛的。 10 因為你遵守我有關堅忍的教導，所以當將來的試煉臨到全人類的時候，我必使你免受磨難。 11 我很快就要來了！你要持守你所擁有的，免得有人奪去你的冠冕。 12 我要使得勝者在我上帝的殿中作棟樑，永不離開。我要將我上帝的名號和我上帝聖城的名號，就是從天上我上帝那裡降下來的新耶路撒冷和我自己的新名號，都刻在他上面。

給老底嘉教會的信
14 「你要寫信告訴老底嘉教會的天使，那位實實在在[a]、誠信無偽的見證人，就是上帝所造萬物的元首說，
15 『我知道你的行為，你不冷也不熱。我情願你或冷或熱， 16 可是現在你卻像溫水一樣不冷不熱，我必將你從我口中吐出去！ 17 你說，我很富有，已經發了財，什麼都不缺。你卻不知道自己困苦、可憐、貧窮、瞎眼、赤身露體。 18 我勸你向我買精煉的金子，使你真正富有。你也要向我買白袍穿在身上，好遮蓋你赤身露體的羞辱。你也要向我買眼藥抹眼睛，使你能看見。 19 凡我所愛的，我都會責備、管教。因此，你要熱心起來，也要悔改。 20 看啊！我站在門外敲門，若有誰聞聲開門，我必進去，我與他，他與我，一同坐席吃飯。 21 得勝者可以和我一同坐在我的寶座上，正如我得勝後與我父一同坐在祂的寶座上一樣。

‘那有 神七灵和七星的这样说：我知道你的行为，你有名声，说你是活着的，其实你是死的。 2 你要警醒，把那些剩下来将要死的坚强起来；因为我见你的行为在我 神面前是不完全的。 3 所以，你应当回想你是怎样领受、怎样听见的；应该遵守，也应该悔改。你若不警醒，我就要像贼来到一样。我甚么时候来到你那里，你决不能知道。 4 然而在撒狄你还有几名是未曾玷污自己衣服的，他们要身穿白衣与我同行；因为他们是配得上的。 5 得胜的，也必这样身穿白衣，我决不从生命册上涂抹他的名，我还要在我父和他的众天使面前，承认他的名。 6 圣灵向众教会所说的话，有耳的就应当听。’

7 “你要写信给在非拉铁非教会的使者，说：
‘那圣洁的、真实的，
拿着大卫的钥匙，
开了就没有人能关，
关了就没有人能开的（“拿着大卫的钥匙……没有人能开的”引自赛22:22），这样说：
8 我知道你的行为，看哪！我已经在你面前给你一道开着的门，是没有人能关的；因为你有一点点力量，也遵守我的道，没有否认我的名。 9 看哪！从撒但的一党，就是自称是犹太人，其实不是犹太人，而是说谎的人中，我要使他们一些人来在你脚前下拜，并且知道我已经爱了你。 10 你既然遵守了我忍耐的道，我也必定保守你脱离那试炼的时候；这就是那将要临到普天下，来试炼住在地上的人的时候。 11 我必快来！你要持守你所有的，不要让人拿走你的冠冕。 12 得胜的，我要叫他在我 神的圣所里作柱子，他决不再出去，我也要把我 神的名，和我 神的城的名，就是那从天上、从我 神那里降下来的新耶路撒冷，以及我的新名，都写在他身上。 13 圣灵向众教会所说的话，有耳的就应当听。’

14 “你要写信给在老底嘉教会的使者，说：
‘那位阿们的，忠信真实的见证人， 神创造万有的根源，这样说： 15 我知道你的行为，你不冷也不热；我巴不得你或冷或热。 16 因为你好象温水，不热也不冷，所以我要把你从我口中吐出去。 17 你说：我是富足的，已经发了财，毫无缺乏。却不知你是困苦的、可怜的、贫穷的、瞎眼的、赤身的。 18 我劝你向我买精炼的金子，使你富足；又买白衣穿上，使你赤身的羞耻不会显露出来；也买眼药膏抹你的眼睛，使你可以看见。 19 凡是我所爱的，我就责备管教；所以你要热心，也要悔改。 20 看哪！我站在门外敲门；如果有人听见我的声音就开门的，我要进到他那里去，我要跟他在一起，他也要跟我在一起吃饭。 21 得胜的，我必定赐他和我一同坐在我的宝座上，正像我得了胜和我父一同坐在他的宝座上一样。 22 圣灵向众教会所说的话，有耳的就应当听。’”
Revelation 3
The Message
To Sardis
3 Write this to Sardis, to the Angel of the church. The One holding the Seven Spirits of God in one hand, a firm grip on the Seven Stars with the other, speaks:
“I see right through your work. You have a reputation for vigor and zest, but you’re dead, stone-dead.
2-3 “Up on your feet! Take a deep breath! Maybe there’s life in you yet. But I wouldn’t know it by looking at your busywork; nothing of God’s work has been completed. Your condition is desperate. Think of the gift you once had in your hands, the Message you heard with your ears—grasp it again and turn back to God.
“If you pull the covers back over your head and sleep on, oblivious to God, I’ll return when you least expect it, break into your life like a thief in the night.
4 “You still have a few followers of Jesus in Sardis who haven’t ruined themselves wallowing in the muck of the world’s ways. They’ll walk with me on parade! They’ve proved their worth!
5 “Conquerors will march in the victory parade, their names indelible in the Book of Life. I’ll lead them up and present them by name to my Father and his Angels.
6 “Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.”
To Philadelphia
7 Write this to Philadelphia, to the Angel of the church. The Holy, the True—David’s key in his hand, opening doors no one can lock, locking doors no one can open—speaks:
8 “I see what you’ve done. Now see what I’ve done. I’ve opened a door before you that no one can slam shut. You don’t have much strength, I know that; you used what you had to keep my Word. You didn’t deny me when times were rough.
9 “And watch as I take those who call themselves true believers but are nothing of the kind, pretenders whose true membership is in the club of Satan—watch as I strip off their pretensions and they’re forced to acknowledge it’s you that I’ve loved.
10 “Because you kept my Word in passionate patience, I’ll keep you safe in the time of testing that will be here soon, and all over the earth, every man, woman, and child put to the test.
11 “I’m on my way; I’ll be there soon. Keep a tight grip on what you have so no one distracts you and steals your crown.
12 “I’ll make each conqueror a pillar in the sanctuary of my God, a permanent position of honor. Then I’ll write names on you, the pillars: the Name of my God, the Name of God’s City—the new Jerusalem coming down out of Heaven—and my new Name.
13 “Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.”
To Laodicea
14 Write to Laodicea, to the Angel of the church. God’s Yes, the Faithful and Accurate Witness, the First of God’s creation, says:
15-17 “I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You’re not cold, you’re not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale. You’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit. You brag, ‘I’m rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone,’ oblivious that in fact you’re a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless.
18 “Here’s what I want you to do: Buy your gold from me, gold that’s been through the refiner’s fire. Then you’ll be rich. Buy your clothes from me, clothes designed in Heaven. You’ve gone around half-naked long enough. And buy medicine for your eyes from me so you can see, really see.
19 “The people I love, I call to account—prod and correct and guide so that they’ll live at their best. Up on your feet, then! About face! Run after God!
20-21 “Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you. Conquerors will sit alongside me at the head table, just as I, having conquered, took the place of honor at the side of my Father. That’s my gift to the conquerors!
22 “Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.”
