新天新地

21 我又看见一个新天新地，因为先前的天地都过去了，海也再没有了。 2 我又看见圣城，新耶路撒冷，从天上由　神那里降下来，预备好了，好象打扮整齐等候丈夫的新娘。 3 我听见有大声音从宝座那里发出来，说：“看哪！　神的帐幕在人间，他要与人同住，他们要作他的子民。　神要亲自与他们同在，要作他们的　神。 4 他要抹去他们的一切眼泪，不再有死亡，也不再有悲哀、哭号、痛苦，因为先前的事都过去了。”

5 坐在宝座上的那一位说：“看哪，我把一切都更新了！”又说：“你要写下来，因为这些话是可信的、真实的。” 6 他又对我说：“成了！我是阿拉法，是俄梅格；我是创始的，也是成终的。我要把生命的泉水，白白赐给口渴的人喝。 7 得胜的，必要承受这些福分。我要作他的　神，他要作我的儿子。 8 只是那些胆怯的、不信的、可憎的、杀人的、淫乱的、行邪术的、拜偶像的和所有说谎的人，他们的分是在烧着硫磺的火湖里。这就是第二次的死。”

新耶路撒冷

9 拿着七个盛满着末后七灾的碗的七位天使中，有一位走来对我说：“你来！我要把新娘，就是羊羔的妻子，指示你。” 10 我在灵里被那天使带到一座高大的山上，他把从天上由　神那里降下来的圣城耶路撒冷指示我。 11 这城有　神的荣耀，城的光辉好象极贵的宝石，又像晶莹的碧玉。 12 有高大的城墙，有十二个门，门口有十二位天使，门上写着以色列十二支派的名字。 13 东边有三个门，南边有三个门，西边有三个门，北边有三个门。 14 城墙有十二座根基，根基上有羊羔的十二使徒的名字。

15 那对我说话的天使拿着一根金的芦苇，要量那城、城门和城墙。 16 城是四方的，长宽都一样。天使用芦苇量那城，共有二千四百公里（“二千四百公里”原文作“一万二千司他町”），城的长、宽、高都一样； 17 又量了城墙，约有六十公尺（“六十公尺”原文作“一百四十四肘”）。天使用的标准，就是人量度的标准。 18 城墙是用碧玉做的，城是用明净像玻璃的纯金做的。 19 城墙的根基是用各样宝石装饰的：第一座根基是碧玉，第二座是蓝宝石，第三座是玛瑙，第四座是绿宝石， 20 第五座是红玛瑙，第六座是红宝石，第七座是黄璧玺，第八座是水苍玉，第九座是红璧玺，第十座是翡翠，第十一座是紫玛瑙，第十二座是紫晶。 21 十二个门是十二颗珍珠，每一个门是用一颗珍珠做的。城里的街道是纯金的，好象透明的玻璃。

22 我没有看见城里有圣所，因为主全能的　神和羊羔就是城的圣所。 23 这城不需要日月照明，因为有　神的荣耀照明，而羊羔就是城的灯。 24 列国要借着城的光行走，地上的众王要把他们的荣华带到这城来。 25 城门白天决不关闭。在那里并没有黑夜。 26 列国的荣华尊贵都被带到这城。 27 所有不洁净的、行可憎的和说谎的，决不可以进入这城。只有名字记在羊羔生命册上的才可以进去。

21 接着我看见一个新天新地，因为以前的天地都消逝了，海洋也不复存在了。 2 我又看见圣城新耶路撒冷从天上的上帝那里降下，预备好了，像妆饰整齐等候新郎的新娘。 3 我听见从宝座中传来响亮的声音说：“看啊！上帝的居所设立在人间，祂要与人同住。他们要成为祂的子民，上帝要亲自与他们同在，做他们的上帝。 4 上帝要擦干他们所有的眼泪，再没有死亡、忧伤、哭泣和痛苦，因为以前的事都已成过去。”

5 坐在宝座上的那位对我说：“看啊！我已经将一切都更新了。你要将这一切记录下来，因为这些话真实可信。” 6 祂又对我说：“一切都成了！我是阿拉法，我是俄梅加；我是开始，我是终结。我要将生命泉的水白白赐给口渴的人。 7 得胜者必承受这一切福分，我要做他的上帝，他要做我的儿子。 8 至于那些胆怯的、不信的、行为可憎的、杀人的、淫乱的、行邪术的、拜偶像的和所有说谎的，他们的结局是被丢进硫磺火湖里，这就是第二次的死。”

新耶路撒冷

9 七位天使手里拿着盛满最后七灾的七个碗，其中有一位对我说：“你来，我要将新娘，就是羔羊的妻子指给你看。” 10 我被圣灵感动，天使带着我到一座高大的山上，将从天上的上帝那里降下的圣城新耶路撒冷指给我看。 11 城中充满上帝的荣光，璀璨如贵重的宝石，晶莹如碧玉。 12-13 城墙高大，有十二个城门，东、北、南、西每面三个门，每个城门都有一位天使把守，门上写着以色列十二支派的名字。 14 城墙共有十二块基石，基石上刻着羔羊的十二位使徒的名字。

15 那和我说话的天使拿了一根金量秆要丈量圣城、城墙和城门。 16 圣城是正方形的，长宽相等。天使用量秆丈量那城，长、宽、高都是两千二百公里[a]。 17 他又丈量了城墙，按人的尺寸来算是六十五米[b]厚。 18 城墙是用碧玉砌成的，城本身是用纯金造的，跟玻璃一样明净。 19 城墙的基石用各种宝石装饰：第一块基石是碧玉，第二块是蓝宝石，第三块是绿玛瑙，第四块是绿宝石， 20 第五块是红玛瑙，第六块是红宝石，第七块是橄榄石，第八块是水苍玉，第九块是黄宝石，第十块是翡翠，第十一块是紫玛瑙，第十二块是紫晶。

21 十二个城门是用十二颗珍珠造的，每一个城门都是一颗珍珠，城中的街道是纯金的，好像透明的玻璃一样。

22 我看见城中没有圣殿，因为全能的主上帝和羔羊就是圣城的殿。 23 圣城里不需要太阳和月亮的光照耀，因为有上帝的荣光照耀，羔羊就是圣城的灯。 24 万民要在圣城的光中行走，地上的君王也要将他们的荣耀带进圣城。 25 城门整天都开着，那里没有黑夜。 26 人们将列国的荣耀和尊贵带进圣城。 27 所有污秽的、做可憎之事的、撒谎的都不得进入圣城。唯有名字记录在羔羊的生命册上的人才有资格进去。

21 Then I saw (A)a new heaven and a new earth; for (B)the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. 2 And I saw (C)the holy city, (D)new Jerusalem, (E)coming down out of heaven from God, (F)made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, (G)the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will [a](H)dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among [b]them, 4 and He will (I)wipe away every tear from their eyes; and (J)there will no longer be any death; (K)there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain. (L)The first things passed away.”

5 And (M)He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am (N)making all things new.” And He *said, “Write, for (O)these words are faithful and true.” 6 Then He said to me, “(P)They are done. I am the (Q)Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. (R)I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the (S)water of life without cost. 7 (T)He who overcomes will inherit these things, and (U)I will be his God and he will be My son. 8 (V)But for the cowardly and [c]unbelieving and abominable and murderers and sexually immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in (W)the lake that burns with fire and [d]brimstone, which is the (X)second death.”

9 (Y)Then one of the seven angels who have the (Z)seven bowls [e]full of the (AA)seven last plagues came and spoke with me, saying, “(AB)Come here, I will show you the (AC)bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

New Jerusalem, the Holy City

10 And (AD)he carried me away [f](AE)in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me (AF)the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, 11 having (AG)the glory of God. Her [g]brilliance was like precious stone, as a (AH)stone of (AI)crystal-clear jasper. 12 [h]It had a great and high wall. [i]It had (AJ)twelve (AK)gates and at those gates, twelve angels; and names [j]have been written on those gates, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east and three gates on the north and three gates on the south and three gates on the west. 14 And the wall of the city had (AL)twelve foundation stones, and on them were the twelve names of the (AM)twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15 And the one who spoke with me had a [k]gold measuring (AN)rod to measure the city and its (AO)gates and its wall. 16 And the city is laid out as a square, and its length is as great as the width; and he measured the city with the [l]rod, [m]12,000 stadia; its length and width and height are equal. 17 And he measured its wall, [n]144 cubits, according to (AP)human [o]measurements, which are also (AQ)angelic measurements. 18 And the material of the wall was (AR)jasper, and the city was (AS)pure gold, like pure (AT)glass. 19 (AU)The foundation stones of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation stone was (AV)jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, (AW)emerald; 20 the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, (AX)sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. 21 And the twelve (AY)gates were twelve (AZ)pearls; each one of the gates was a single pearl. And the street of the city was (BA)pure gold, like transparent (BB)glass.

22 And I saw (BC)no sanctuary in it, for the (BD)Lord God the Almighty and the (BE)Lamb are its sanctuary. 23 And the city (BF)has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for (BG)the glory of God has illumined it, and its lamp is the (BH)Lamb. 24 (BI)And the nations will walk by its light, and the (BJ)kings of the earth [p]will bring their glory into it. 25 (BK)And its gates (BL)will never be closed by day, for (BM)there will be no night there; 26 and (BN)they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 And (BO)nothing defiled, and no one who practices abomination and lying, shall ever come into it, but only those [q]whose names are (BP)written in the Lamb’s book of life.
