巴比伦的下场
18 之后，我看见另一位执掌大权的天使从天降下，他的荣光照亮了大地。 2 他用强有力的声音喊着说：
“巴比伦大城倒塌了！倒塌了！
她成了鬼魔的住处、
各样污鬼的监狱和一切可憎的不洁鸟兽的牢笼！
3 因为列国都被她荒淫的烈酒灌醉了。
地上的君王曾经与她通奸，
地上的商人也因她穷奢极侈的生活而发了财。”
4 我听见天上又有一个声音说：
“我的子民啊，离开那城，
以免沾染她的罪恶，
受她所受的灾祸。
5 因为她已经罪恶滔天，
上帝没有忘记她一切的不义。
6 她怎样待人，
你们也要怎样待她，
要按她所做的加倍地报应她，
用她调酒的杯加倍地调给她喝。
7 她过去怎样自炫自耀、
奢华荒淫，
现在也要让她怎样痛苦哀伤。
因为她心里说，
‘我贵为女王，不是寡妇，
绝不会经历哀伤。’
8 所以在一天之内，
她的灾祸，就是死亡、
哀伤和饥荒要同时临到她身上。
她要被火烧尽，
因为审判她的主上帝能力伟大。
9 “那些曾与她通奸享乐的君王目睹焚烧她的烟，必为她哭泣哀号。 10 他们对她所受的灾祸充满恐惧，就远远地站着说，
“‘强大坚固的巴比伦城啊，
真悲惨！真悲惨！
因为审判顷刻间临到你了。’
11 “地上的商人也为她哀伤，因为再也没有人购买他们的货物了。 12 他们的金、银、宝石、珍珠、细麻布、紫布、丝绸、朱红布、各样香木、象牙器具，贵重木材、铜、铁、大理石制品， 13 以及肉桂、豆蔻、香料、香膏、乳香、酒、油、细面粉、小麦、牛、羊、马、车、仆婢和人口都没有人购买了。 14 他们呼喊，‘巴比伦啊！你贪爱的美物已离你而去了，一切珍馐百味、奢侈华丽的东西都消失殆尽，无影无踪。’
15 “靠贩卖这些货物给她而致富的商人对她所受的灾祸充满恐惧，就站在远处为她哀伤哭号， 16 说，‘身穿紫色和朱红色的细麻布衣服，以黄金、宝石、珍珠为装饰的大城啊，真悲惨！真悲惨！ 17 因为顷刻间你这一切的繁华都化为乌有了。’所有船主、乘客、水手及靠海为生的人都远远地站着， 18 看见烧她的烟，就说，‘有哪一座城能与她相比呢？’ 19 他们又把尘土撒在头上，哀伤哭泣，喊着说，
“‘这大城啊，真悲惨！真悲惨！
所有经营航运的都因她的奢华而发了财，
可是顷刻间她却沦为废墟了！’
20 上天啊，
众圣徒、众使徒和众先知啊，
为她的下场欢乐吧！
因为上帝已经向她施行报应，
为你们申冤了。”
21 这时，有一位大力天使举起一块像大磨石的石头扔进海里，说：
“巴比伦大城也必这样被用力扔下去，
消失得无影无踪。
22 在你那里，
再也听不见弹琴作乐、
鸣笛吹号的声音了，
再也找不到能工巧匠了，
再也听不到推磨的声音了，
23 再也看不到闪耀的灯光了，
再也听不见新婚夫妇的欢笑声了。
因为你的商人曾经趾高气扬，
你的邪术曾经迷惑万国，
24 你的城墙内流满了众先知、
众圣徒和地上一切被杀之人的血。”

18 這些事以後，我看見有另一位掌大權柄的天使，從天上降下來，他的榮光照亮了大地。 2 他用強有力的聲音呼喊說：
“傾倒了！大巴比倫傾倒了！
成了鬼魔的住處，
各樣污靈的監獄，
一切污穢可憎之雀鳥的牢籠，
3 因為各國都喝她淫亂烈怒的酒醉了；
地上的君王與她行淫，
世上的商人因她奢華揮霍就發了財。”
4 我聽見另一個聲音從天上來，說：
“從那城出來吧，我的子民！
免得在她的罪上有分，
受她所受的災難；
5 因為她的罪惡滔天，
神已經想起她的不義來。
6 她怎樣待人，你們也要怎樣待她；
照著她所作的，加倍報應她；
用她調酒的杯，加倍調給她。
7 她怎樣炫耀自己，怎樣奢華揮霍，
你們也要怎樣給她痛苦悲哀。
因為她心裡常常說：
‘我坐著作女王，
我不是寡婦，
決不會看見悲哀。’
8 因此，在一日之內她的災難必然來到，
就是死亡、悲哀和饑荒；
她還要在火中被燒掉，
因為審判她的主 神是大有能力的。
9 “地上的眾王，就是跟她一同行邪淫、驕奢無度的，看見焚燒她的煙的時候，就必為她痛哭捶胸。 10 他們因為害怕她所受的痛苦，就遠遠地站著，說：
‘有禍了！有禍了！這大城，
巴比倫，這堅固的城啊！
一時之間你的審判就來到了！’
11 “地上的商人也為她悲哀痛哭，因為沒有人再買他們的貨物： 12 就是金、銀、寶石、珍珠；細麻布、紫色布、絲綢、朱紅色布；各樣香木，各樣象牙製品，各樣極貴重的木器、銅器、鐵器、大理石製品； 13 肉桂、荳蔻、香料、香膏、乳香；酒、油、麵粉、麥子；牛、羊、馬、車、奴僕、人口。 14 你所貪戀的果子離開你了！一切珍饈美味、華麗的美物，都從你那裡消失，再也找不到了！ 15 販賣這些貨物，藉著她發了財的商人，因為害怕她受的痛苦，就遠遠地站著，痛哭悲哀， 16 說：
‘有禍了！有禍了！這大城啊！
就是一向穿著細麻布、
紫色、朱紅色的衣服，
佩戴著金子、
寶石和珍珠裝飾的，
17 一時之間，這麼大的財富竟蕩然無存！’
“所有船長、旅客、水手，以及凡是靠海謀生的，都遠遠地站著。 18 他們看見了焚燒她的煙，就喊叫說：‘有哪一座城能與這大城相比呢？’ 19 他們又把塵土撒在自己頭上，痛哭悲哀，喊著說：
‘有禍了！有禍了！這大城啊！
凡是有船航行海上的，
都因這城的財寶發了財；
一時之間她竟成了荒場！’
20 天哪，你要因她歡喜！
眾聖徒、眾使徒、眾先知啊，
你們也要因她歡喜！
因為 神已經在她身上為你們伸了冤。”
21 有一位大力的天使，把一塊好像大磨石一樣的石頭，舉起來拋在海裡，說：
“巴比倫大城也必這樣被猛力地拋下去，
決不能再找到了！
22 彈琴、奏樂、
吹笛、吹號的聲音，
在你中間決不能再聽到了！
各樣手藝技工，
在你中間決不能再找到了！
推磨的聲音，
在你中間決不能再聽到了！
23 燈的亮光，
在你中間決不能再照耀了！
新郎新娘的聲音，
在你中間決不能再聽到了！
你的商人一向都是地上的大人物，
萬國都因你的邪術受了迷惑。
24 先知、聖徒和地上一切被殺的人的血，
都在這城裡找到了！”

18 这些事以后，我看见另一位天使从天上降下来，他拥有大权；大地被他的荣光照亮了。 2 他用强有力的声音呼喊说：
“倒塌了！大巴比伦倒塌了！
她成了鬼魔居住的地方、
一切污灵的巢穴[a]、
一切污秽鸟类的巢穴、
一切污秽可憎野兽的巢穴[b]。
3 原来万国都喝了她淫乱愤怒[c]的酒，
地上的众君王曾与她行淫乱，
地上的商人也由于她极度的骄奢淫逸而发了财。”
4 接着，我听见另一个声音从天上传来，说：
“我的子民哪，你们要从她那里出来，
免得在她的罪孽上有份，
也免得遭受她所受的灾害，
5 因为她的罪孽滔天，
神也记得她的罪行。
6 她怎样待人，你们也要怎样待她，
并照着她的行为加倍地报应她；
你们要在她混合酒的杯子里，
加倍地混合给她喝。
7 她怎样炫耀自己、骄奢淫逸，
你们也要照样给她折磨和悲伤，
因为她心里说：‘我坐着女王的位子[d]，
我不是寡妇，绝不会经历悲伤。’
8 为此，在一天之内
她所受的灾害，就是死亡、悲伤和饥荒，
就要来到。
她将要在烈火中被烧掉，
因为主、神——审判她的那一位是强有力的。”
世界为巴比伦哀哭
9 地上的众君王，就是那些与她行淫乱、一同骄奢淫逸的，当看见焚烧她时的烟，就会为她捶胸哀哭。 10 他们因惧怕她所受的折磨，就远远地站着，说：
“有祸了！有祸了！宏大的城，
强大的巴比伦城啊！
因为一时之间，
你的审判就来到了！”
11 地上的商人也为她哭泣、悲伤，因为再也没有人买他们的货物了； 12 那些货物就是：金、银、宝石、珍珠，细麻布、紫色布、丝绸、深红色布，各种香木，各种象牙制品，各种极贵重的木、铜、铁和大理石的制品， 13 肉桂、香料[e]、香、香液、乳香；酒、油、面粉、麦子；牲畜、羊、马、马车；人的肉体和灵魂[f]。
14 “你心所贪恋的果子离开了你；
一切珍馐美味、华丽物品，都从你那里消逝[g]了，
人绝不能再看到它们了。”
15 贩卖[h]这些东西的商人，就是那些由于她而发了财的人，因惧怕她所受的折磨，就会远远地站着，哭泣、悲伤， 16 说：
“有祸了！有祸了！宏大的城，
那曾身穿细麻、紫色、深红色衣服，
以金子、宝石、珍珠为装饰的城啊！
17 这么多的财富，竟然在一时之间就化为乌有了！”
所有的船长、所有到处航行的人[i]、水手们、所有靠海为业的人，都远远地站着。 18 他们看着焚烧她时的烟，呼喊说：“哪一个城能与这大城相比呢？” 19 他们把尘土撒在自己头上，哭泣、悲伤，呼喊说：
“有祸了！有祸了！宏大的城，
所有靠着她在海上有船只的人

20 上天哪、圣徒们、使徒们、先知们哪，你们应当因她欢喜！
因为神已经向她施行审判，为你们惩罚她！”
巴比伦的结局
21 随后，一位强有力的天使拿起一块像大磨石那样的石头，把它丢进海里，说：
“大巴比伦城也将这样被猛烈地扔下去，
绝不会再找到了！
22 弹琴的、奏乐的、吹笛的、吹号之人的声音，
在你中间绝不会再听到了！
各种手艺的工匠，
在你中间绝不会再找到了！
磨石的声音，
在你中间绝不会再听到了！
23 灯的亮光，
在你中间绝不会再照耀了！
新郎和新娘的声音，
在你中间绝不会再听到了！
因为你的商人一向是地上的大人物，
又因为万国都被你的邪术[j]所迷惑，
24 而且先知们、圣徒们以及地上一切被杀之人的血，
在你[k]那里都被发现了。”

2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.
7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
9 And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.
11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16 And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas, that great city, wherein were made rich all that had ships in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.
20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.
