骑着兽的大淫妇
17 拿着七碗的七位天使中，有一位来跟我讲话，说：“你来，我要把那坐在众水之上的大淫妇所要受的审判指示你。 2 地上的众王都跟她行过淫，住在地上的人也都喝她淫乱的酒醉了。” 3 我在灵里被天使带到旷野去，看见一个妇人，骑着朱红色的兽，这兽布满了亵渎的名号，有七头十角。 4 那妇人穿著紫色和朱红色的衣服，佩戴着金子、宝石和珍珠的装饰，手里拿着金杯，盛满了可憎的物，和她淫乱的污秽。 5 她额上写着一个名号：“奥秘，大巴比伦，地上的淫妇和可憎的物之母。” 6 我又看见那妇人喝圣徒的血，和那为耶稣作见证的人的血，喝醉了。
我看见了她，就大大惊奇。 7 天使对我说：“你为甚么惊奇呢？我要把这妇人的奥秘，和驮着她的那七头十角的兽的奥秘告诉你。 8 你看见的那兽，先前在、现今不在、将来要从无底坑上来，然后走向灭亡。住在世上的人，凡是名字在创世以来没有记在生命册上的，看见了那先前在、现今不在、将来还要出现的兽，就都要惊奇。 9 在这里需要有智慧的心。七头就是那妇人所坐的七座山， 10 也就是七位王：五位已经倒了，一位还在，另一位还没有来到；他来的时候，必须存留一会儿。 11 那先前在、现今不在的兽，就是第八位。他也是出于那七位中的一位的，并且正在走向灭亡。 12 你看见的那十角，就是十王，他们还没有取得王权；但要跟兽一同得着权柄，作王一个时期。 13 他们同心合意，把自己的权力权柄交给那兽。 14 他们要跟羊羔作战，羊羔必胜过他们，因为他是万主之主，万王之王。那些与羊羔同在、蒙召、被选、有忠心的，也必胜过他们。”
15 天使又对我说：“你所看见那淫妇坐着的众水，就是多种民族、群众、邦国，方言的人。 16 你看见的十角和那兽，都要恨那淫妇，使她荒凉赤身，又要吃她的肉，用火把她烧掉。 17 神要众王行他的旨意，就把意念放在他们心中，叫他们同心把自己的国献给那兽，直到 神的话都实现为止。 18 你看见的那妇人，就是有权统治地上的众王的那座大城。”

17 拿著七碗的七位天使中有一位前來對我說：「你過來！我要讓你看那坐在眾水之上的大淫婦將要遭受的刑罰。 2 地上的君王與她行淫，地上其他人也因喝了她淫亂的酒而酩酊大醉。」
3 那時，我被聖靈感動，被天使帶到曠野，在那裡見到一個婦人騎著一隻朱紅色的怪獸。怪獸有七頭十角，渾身寫滿褻瀆上帝的名號。 4 那婦人身穿紫色和朱紅色的袍子，用黃金、寶石及珍珠裝扮自己。她手中拿著金杯，裡面盛滿了她淫亂的污穢、可憎之物。 5 在她額上還寫了一個神秘的名號：「大巴比倫——地上淫婦及可憎事物之母」。 6 我又見她醉了，因她喝了眾聖徒的血，就是為耶穌做見證之人的血。
我看見她，非常驚奇。 7 天使對我說：「你為什麼這樣驚奇呢？我要將這婦人和她騎的七頭十角怪獸的奧祕告訴你。 8 你看見的這怪獸以前出現過，現今沒有出現，將來要從無底坑上來，然後走向滅亡。那些住在地上、自創世以來名字沒有記在生命冊上的人，都因見到這只從前出現過、現今沒有出現、將來會再出現的怪獸而感到驚奇。 9 這裡需要智慧才能明白，牠的七個頭代表那婦人坐鎮的七座山，又代表七個王。 10 其中五個已經衰亡，一個還在，另外一個還未來到，他來後只能短暫存留。 11 那從前出現過、現今沒有出現的怪獸是第八個王，他是七個王之一，也要走向滅亡。 12 你看見的那十個角象徵另外十個還沒有得勢的王，他們將取得王權和那怪獸一同統治短暫的一段時期。 13 他們一致同意把自己所有的能力和權柄交給那怪獸。 14 他們將與羔羊交戰，但羔羊必勝過他們，因為羔羊是萬主之主，萬王之王。那些跟隨羔羊的是被呼召、蒙揀選、忠心耿耿的人。」
15 天使又對我說：「你看見的那淫婦所坐的眾水象徵來自各民族、各國家、各語言族群的人。 16 怪獸和牠頭上的十角必憎恨那淫婦，使她赤身露體、景況淒涼。牠們要吃她的肉，最後用火將她燒盡。 17 因為上帝使眾王定意這樣做，好完成祂的旨意。他們便同心將政權交給那怪獸，直到上帝的話得到實現。 18 你看見的那婦人就是那掌管世上眾王的大城。」

17 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.
18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.
