7 所罗门祷告完了，有火从天上降下来，烧尽了燔祭和其他的祭品；耶和华的荣光充满了那殿。 2 因为耶和华的荣光充满了耶和华的殿，祭司都不能进入耶和华的殿。 3 那火降下，耶和华的荣光停在殿上的时候，以色列众人都看见；于是他们在铺石地跪下，俯伏在地，敬拜称颂耶和华说：“耶和华是良善的，他的慈爱永远长存。”
所罗门和人民一起献祭守节(A)
4 王和全体人民都在耶和华面前献祭。 5 所罗门王献上了二万二千头牛、十二万只羊为祭。这样，王和全体人民为 神的殿举行了奉献礼。 6 祭司都站在自己的岗位上；利未人也站着，拿着大卫王所做的耶和华的乐器，称颂耶和华，因为他的慈爱永远长存；大卫借着他们赞美耶和华的时候，祭司在众人前面吹号；以色列众人都站着。 7 所罗门把耶和华殿前院子当中的地方分别为圣，在那里献上了燔祭和平安祭的脂肪，因为所罗门所做的铜坛容不下所有的燔祭、素祭和脂肪。

11 这样，所罗门完成了耶和华的殿宇和王宫。在耶和华的殿里或所罗门的宫中，所罗门心里要作的，都顺利地作成了。 12 夜间，耶和华向所罗门显现，对他说：“我已经听了你的祷告，也为我自己选择了这地方作献祭的殿。 13 如果我使天闭塞不下雨，或吩咐蝗虫吞吃这地的土产，或差遣瘟疫到我的子民中间来； 14 这称为我名下的子民，若是谦卑、祷告、寻求我的面，转离他们的恶行，我必从天上垂听，赦免他们的罪，医治他们的地。 15 现在我的眼睛必张开，我的耳朵必垂听在这地所发的祷告。 16 现在我拣选了这殿，把它分别为圣，使我的名永远在这殿中；我的眼和我的心也常常留在那里。 17 至于你，你若是在我面前行事为人像你的父亲大卫所行的那样，遵行我吩咐你的一切话，谨守我的律例和典章， 18 我就必巩固你的国位，好象我和你父亲大卫所立的约说：‘你的子孙必不会断人作君王统治以色列。’
19 “可是，如果你们转离我，丢弃我在你们面前颁布的律例和诫命，去事奉和敬拜别的神， 20 我就必把以色列人从我赐给他们的土地上拔出来，并且我为自己的名分别为圣的这殿，我也必从我面前舍弃，使这殿在万民中成为笑谈和讥笑的对象。 21 这殿虽然高大，但将来经过的人，都必惊讶，说：‘耶和华为甚么这样对待这地和这殿呢？’ 22 人必回答说：‘是因为这地的人离弃了耶和华他们列祖的 神，就是领他们从埃及地出来的 神，去亲近别的神，敬拜和事奉他们；所以，耶和华使这一切灾祸临到他们。’”

7 Y cuando Salomón acabó de orar, el fuego descendió de los cielos, y consumió el holocausto y las víctimas; y la gloria del SEÑOR llenó la Casa.
2 Y no podían entrar los sacerdotes en la Casa del SEÑOR, porque la gloria del SEÑOR había llenado la Casa del SEÑOR.
3 Y cuando vieron todos los hijos de Israel descender el fuego y la gloria del SEÑOR sobre la Casa, cayeron en tierra en el solado sobre sus rostros, y adoraron, confesando al SEÑOR diciendo: Que es bueno, que su misericordia es para siempre.
4 Entonces el rey y todo el pueblo sacrificaron víctimas delante del SEÑOR.
5 Y ofreció el rey Salomón en sacrificio veintidós mil bueyes, y ciento veinte mil ovejas; y así dedicaron la Casa de Dios el rey y todo el pueblo.
6 Y los sacerdotes estaban sobre sus guardas; y los levitas con los instrumentos de música del SEÑOR, los cuales había hecho el rey David para confesar al SEÑOR, porque su misericordia es para siempre; cuando David confesaba por mano de ellos. Asimismo los sacerdotes tocaban trompetas delante de ellos, y todo Israel estaba en pie.
7 También santificó Salomón el medio del atrio que estaba delante de la Casa del SEÑOR, por cuanto había ofrecido allí los holocaustos, y los sebos de los pacíficos; porque en el altar de bronce que Salomón había hecho, no podían caber los holocaustos, y el presente, y los sebos.
8 Entonces hizo Salomón fiesta siete días, y con él todo Israel, una gran congregación, desde la entrada de Hamat hasta el arroyo de Egipto.
9 Al octavo día hicieron convocación, porque habían hecho la dedicación del altar en siete días, y habían celebrado la fiesta solemne por siete días.
10 Y a los veintitrés del mes séptimo envió al pueblo a sus estancias, alegres y gozosos de corazón por los beneficios que el SEÑOR había hecho a David, y a Salomón, y a su pueblo Israel.
11 Acabó, pues, Salomón la Casa del SEÑOR, y la casa del rey; y todo lo que Salomón tuvo en voluntad de hacer en la Casa del SEÑOR y en su casa, fue prosperado.
12 Y apareció el SEÑOR a Salomón de noche, y le dijo: Yo he oído tu oración, y he elegido para mí este lugar por una Casa de sacrificio.
13 Si yo cerrare los cielos, que no haya lluvia, y si mandare a la langosta que consuma la tierra, o si enviare pestilencia a mi pueblo;
14 si se humillare mi pueblo, sobre los cuales ni nombre es invocado, y oraren, y buscaren mi rostro, y se convirtieren de sus caminos malos; entonces yo oiré desde los cielos, y perdonaré sus pecados, y sanaré su tierra.
15 Ahora estarán abiertos mis ojos, y atentos mis oídos, a la oración en este lugar;
16 así que ahora he elegido y santificado esta Casa, para que esté en ella mi Nombre para siempre; y mis ojos y mi corazón estarán ahí para siempre.
17 Y tú, si anduvieres delante de mí, como anduvo David tu padre, e hicieres todas las cosas que yo te he mandado, y guardares mis estatutos y mis derechos,
18 yo confirmaré el trono de tu reino, como concerté con David tu padre, diciendo: No faltará varón de ti que domine en Israel.
19 Mas si vosotros os volviereis, y dejareis mis estatutos y mis mandamientos que os he propuesto, y fuereis y sirviereis a dioses ajenos, y los adorareis,
20 yo los arrancaré de mi tierra que les he dado; y esta Casa que he santificado a mi Nombre, yo la echaré de delante de mí, y la pondré por proverbio y fábula en todos los pueblos.
21 Y esta Casa que es tan ilustre, será espanto a todo el que pasare, y dirá: ¿Por qué ha hecho así el SEÑOR a esta tierra y a esta Casa?
22 Y le será respondido: Por cuanto dejaron al SEÑOR Dios de sus padres, el cual los sacó de la tierra de Egipto, y echaron mano de dioses ajenos, y los adoraron y sirvieron; por eso él ha traído todo este mal sobre ellos.

Solomon Dedicates the Temple(A)
7 And when Solomon finished praying, fire came down from the heavens and consumed the burnt offering and sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. 2 And the priests were not able to enter into the house of the Lord, for the glory of the Lord filled the Lord’s house. 3 And all the sons of Israel saw when the fire came down and the glory of the Lord came on the temple, and they bowed their faces low to the ground on the pavement, and they worshipped confessing,
“The Lord is good,
and His mercy endures forever.”
4 Then the king and all the people were making sacrifices before the Lord. 5 King Solomon sacrificed twenty-two thousand oxen and one hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the people dedicated the house of God. 6 The priests stood at their positions, with the Levites and all their instruments of music for the Lord that King David had made to praise the Lord—for His mercy endures forever—when David gave praise by their ministry, and the priests sounded trumpets opposite the Levites, and all Israel stood.
7 And Solomon consecrated the middle of the court that was in front of the house of the Lord because there he made burnt offerings and the fat of peace offerings (because the bronze altar that Solomon made was surely not able to contain the burnt offerings, grain offerings, and fat offerings).
8 And at the appointed time, Solomon made a feast for seven days, and all Israel—as a very great assembly—was with him, from the entrance of Lebo Hamath in the north to the Brook of Egypt in the south. 9 Then on the eighth day they made a solemn assembly because they had made a consecration of the altar for seven days and then the feast for seven days more. 10 Then on the twenty-third day of the seventh month Solomon sent the people away to their homes. They were joyful and good of heart because of what the Lord had done for David, Solomon, and His people Israel.
11 Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the king’s house. And Solomon successfully accomplished everything that came into his heart to do in the house of the Lord and in his own house.
The Lord Appears to Solomon(B)
12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon at night, and He said to Solomon,
“I have heard your prayer, and I have chosen for Myself in this place a house of sacrifice.
13 “When I shut up the heaven and there is no rain, or when I command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence on My people, 14 if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer of this place. 16 So now I have chosen and consecrated this house that My name be there continually. My eyes and heart will be there for all days.
17 “And you, if you walk before Me as David your father did to do everything that I command you to do, and you keep My statutes and judgments, 18 then I will set the throne of your kingdom as I made a covenant with David your father saying, ‘You will not lack a man to rule Israel.’
19 “But if the people turn aside and abandon My statutes and commandments that I have given to you, and you walk after and serve other gods and worship them, 20 then I will uproot them from My land that I have given to them; and the house that I have consecrated for My name, I will throw it from before Me and set it as a proverb and taunt among the peoples. 21 And even though this house was majestic, it will lie desolate before all who pass by it, and they will say, ‘Why did the Lord do such a thing to this land and this house?’ 22 Then they will say, ‘Because they abandoned the Lord, the God of their fathers who brought them up from the land of Egypt, and they took hold of other gods and worshipped and served them; therefore He has brought on them all this disaster.”
