30 希西家派人走遍以色列和犹大，又写信给以法莲人和玛拿西人，叫他们到耶路撒冷耶和华的殿来，守逾越节记念耶和华以色列的 神。 2 因为王和众领袖，以及耶路撒冷的全体会众曾经商议，要在二月守逾越节。 3 （但他们不能如期守逾越节，因为自洁的祭司不够，人民也没有齐集在耶路撒冷。） 4 王和全体会众都认为这计划很好， 5 于是下了命令，通告全以色列，从别是巴直到但，叫人民来耶路撒冷守逾越节记念耶和华以色列的 神，因为照着所记的定例举行这节的人不多。 6 信差就带着王和众领袖发出的书信，走遍全以色列和犹大，照着王的吩咐，宣告说：“以色列人哪，你们应当转向耶和华，亚伯拉罕、以撒和以色列的 神，使他也转向你们这些在亚述王手中逃脱的余民。 7 你们不要像你们的列祖和你们的亲族，他们得罪了耶和华他们列祖的 神，以致耶和华使他们成为令人惊骇的对象，就像你们自己所见的。 8 现在你们不可顽固，像你们的列祖那样；要顺服耶和华，进入他永远分别为圣的圣所，事奉耶和华你们的 神，使他的烈怒转离你们。 9 如果你们是归向耶和华，你们的亲族和儿女就必在俘掳他们的人面前蒙怜悯，可以返回这地；因为耶和华你们的 神是有恩惠有怜悯；如果你们归向他，他必不转脸不顾你们。” 10 信差从这城到那城，走遍了以法莲和玛拿西各地，直到西布伦；那里的人却戏弄他们，讥笑他们。 11 可是在亚设、玛拿西和西布伦中，也有人愿意谦卑，来到耶路撒冷。 12 神的能力也帮助犹大人，使他们一心遵行王和众领袖奉耶和华的命令发出的吩咐。
13 二月，有很多人在耶路撒冷聚集，要举行无酵节，集合了一大群会众。 14 他们起来，把耶路撒冷城中的祭坛和一切香坛，尽都除去，拋在汲沦溪中。 15 二月十四日，他们宰了逾越节的羊羔。祭司和利未人都觉得惭愧，就自洁，把燔祭带到耶和华的殿里。 16 他们遵照神人摩西的律法，按着定例，站在自己的岗位上。祭司从利未人手里把血接过来，洒在祭坛上。 17 因为会众中有很多人还没有自洁，所以利未人必须为所有不洁的人宰杀逾越节的羊羔，使他们在耶和华面前成为圣洁。 18-19 原来有一大群人，很多是从以法莲、玛拿西、以萨迦和西布伦来的，还没有自洁，就吃逾越节的羊羔，不遵照所记的定例；因此，希西家为他们祷告说：“凡是立定心意，专一寻求 神耶和华他们列祖的 神的，虽然没有照着圣所洁净的礼自洁，愿良善的耶和华也饶恕他们。” 20 耶和华垂听了希西家的祷告，就饶恕（“饶恕”原文作“医治”）众民。 21 在耶路撒冷的以色列人，都十分欢乐地守除酵节七天；利未人和祭司天天赞美耶和华，用响亮的乐器赞美耶和华。 22 希西家慰勉所有善于事奉耶和华的利未人；众人吃节筵七日，又献上平安祭，称颂耶和华他们列祖的 神。
23 全体会众商议好了，要再守节期七天，于是他们欢欢喜喜地又举行了七天。 24 犹大王希西家送给会众公牛一千头，羊七千只；众领袖也送给会众公牛一千头，羊一万只；并且有很多祭司自洁。 25 犹大的全体会众、祭司和利未人、从以色列来的全体会众，以及在以色列地寄居的人和在犹大寄居的人，都非常欢乐。 26 这样，在耶路撒冷有极大的欢乐，自从以色列王大卫的儿子所罗门的日子以来，在耶路撒冷都没有像这样的欢乐。 27 那时，利未支派的祭司起来，给人民祝福；他们的声音蒙了垂听，他们的祷告达到天上 神的圣所那里。

Ezekijine pripreme za Pashu
30 Ezekija je razaslao glasnike po cijelom Izraelu i Judi. Napisao je i pisma Efrajimovom i Manašeovom plemenu. Pozivao je ljude da dođu u BOŽJI Hram u Jeruzalemu i proslave Pashu u čast Izraelovom BOGU. 2 Kralj i njegovi službenici, te cijela zajednica u Jeruzalemu, složili su se da proslave Pashu u drugome mjesecu. 3 Nisu mogli proslaviti Pashu u propisano vrijeme[a] jer se još nije bio posvetio dovoljan broj svećenika niti se narod okupio u Jeruzalemu. 4 Takav plan činio se dobar kralju i cijeloj zajednici. 5 Po cijelom Izraelu, od grada Beer Šebe pa sve do grada Dana, poslali su proglas pozivajući narod da dođu u Jeruzalem slaviti Pashu u čast Izraelovom BOGU. Već se dugo nije svetkovalo u velikom broju iako je tako propisano u zakonu.
6 Prema kraljevoj zapovijedi, glasnici su trčali po cijelom Izraelu i Judi, noseći pisma od kralja i njegovih službenika. U njima je pisalo:
»Narode Izraela, vratite se BOGU Abrahama, Izaka i Izraela. Tako će se on moći vratiti vama koji ste preostali, pobjegavši iz ropstva asirskoga kralja. 7 Nemojte biti kao vaši očevi i braća koji su bili nevjerni BOGU svojih predaka. Kao što vidite, učinio ih je ruglom pred ljudima i prepustio prijeziru drugih naroda. 8 Ne budite tvrdoglavi, kao što su bili vaši očevi. Pružite ruke k BOGU i dođite u njegov Hram, koji je on posvetio zauvijek. Služite svome BOGU, da se više ne ljuti na vas. 9 Ako se vratite k BOGU, vaši rođaci i vaša djeca naći će suosjećanje kod svojih porobljivača i vratiti se u ovu zemlju. Jer, vaš je BOG milostiv i suosjećajan. On se neće okrenuti od vas ako se vi vratite k njemu.«
10 Tako su glasnici išli od grada do grada, kroz Efrajimovu i Manašeovu zemlju, sve do područja Zebulunovog plemena. No narod im se rugao i ismijavao ih. 11 Samo je nekoliko ljudi iz plemena Ašera, Manašea i Zebuluna poslušalo i došlo u Jeruzalem. 12 No Božja je ruka bila na Judejcima. Zajedno i složno, izvršavali su zapovijedi kralja i kraljevih službenika, sve u skladu s BOŽJOM riječju.

13 U drugome mjesecu veliko se mnoštvo naroda okupilo u Jeruzalemu za Blagdan beskvasnoga kruha. 14 Uklonili su poganske žrtvenike iz Jeruzalema, kao i sva poganska svetišta za prinos tamjana. Sve su pobacali u dolinu potoka Kidrona. 15 Četrnaestog su dana u drugome mjesecu zaklali pashalno janje. Svećenici i Leviti su se pokajali, izvršili obred posvećenja i unijeli žrtve paljenice u BOŽJI Hram. 16 Zauzeli su svoja uobičajena mjesta, propisana zakonom Božjeg čovjeka Mojsija. Leviti su dodavali krv žrtvovanih životinja, a svećenici su njome škropili žrtvenik. 17 Mnogi nisu izvršili obred očišćenja da bi se posvetili te nisu mogli klati pashalnu janjad. Stoga, Leviti su vršili klanje za njih. Tako je sva janjad bila ispravno posvećena BOGU. 18 Mnoštvo naroda, mnogi iz plemena Efrajima, Manašea, Isakara i Zebuluna, nisu izvršili obred očišćenja. Ipak, jeli su pashalno janje iako je zakon propisivao drugačije.
Ezekija se pomolio za njih: »Neka dobri BOG oprosti svakome 19 tko svim srcem traži BOGA svojih predaka. Neka im oprosti što nisu postupili prema pravilima čistoće u Svetištu.«
20 BOG je ispunio Ezekijinu molbu i oprostio narodu.
21 Izraelci, koji su bili u Jeruzalemu, sedam su dana s velikom radošću svetkovali Blagdan beskvasnoga kruha. Leviti i svećenici slavili su BOGA iz dana u dan, pjevajući BOGU iz sve snage[b]. 22 Ezekija je ohrabrivao sve Levite koji su revno služili BOGU. 23 Potom se cijela zajednica složila da slavlje treba produžiti pa su radosno slavili još sedam dana. 24 Judejski je kralj Ezekija dao okupljenima 1.000 junaca i 7.000 ovaca. Njegovi su službenici dali za zajednicu još 1.000 junaca i 10.000 ovaca. Velik je broj svećenika izvršio obred očišćenja i tako se posvetio za službu. 25 Radovali su se zajedno svi Judejci, svećenici i Leviti, cijela zajednica pristigla iz Izraela, zajedno sa strancima koji su došli iz Izraela ili su živjeli u Judi. 26 U Jeruzalemu je vladala velika radost. Još od vremena Salomona, sina izraelskog kralja Davida, ondje nije bilo tako. 27 Na kraju su svećenici i Leviti ustali i blagoslovili narod. Bog je čuo njihov glas. Njihova je molitva doprla do njegovoga svetog prebivališta na nebesima.

30 And Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of the Lord at Jerusalem, to keep the passover unto the Lord God of Israel.
2 For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the congregation in Jerusalem, to keep the passover in the second month.
3 For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.
4 And the thing pleased the king and all the congregation.
5 So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the passover unto the Lord God of Israel at Jerusalem: for they had not done it of a long time in such sort as it was written.
6 So the posts went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, Ye children of Israel, turn again unto the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and he will return to the remnant of you, that are escaped out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.
7 And be not ye like your fathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the Lord God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.
8 Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were, but yield yourselves unto the Lord, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath sanctified for ever: and serve the Lord your God, that the fierceness of his wrath may turn away from you.
9 For if ye turn again unto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
10 So the posts passed from city to city through the country of Ephraim and Manasseh even unto Zebulun: but they laughed them to scorn, and mocked them.
11 Nevertheless divers of Asher and Manasseh and of Zebulun humbled themselves, and came to Jerusalem.
12 Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the Lord.
13 And there assembled at Jerusalem much people to keep the feast of unleavened bread in the second month, a very great congregation.
14 And they arose and took away the altars that were in Jerusalem, and all the altars for incense took they away, and cast them into the brook Kidron.
15 Then they killed the passover on the fourteenth day of the second month: and the priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought in the burnt offerings into the house of the Lord.
16 And they stood in their place after their manner, according to the law of Moses the man of God: the priests sprinkled the blood, which they received of the hand of the Levites.
17 For there were many in the congregation that were not sanctified: therefore the Levites had the charge of the killing of the passovers for every one that was not clean, to sanctify them unto the Lord.
18 For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet did they eat the passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, The good Lord pardon every one
19 That prepareth his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.
20 And the Lord hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
21 And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the Lord day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the Lord.
22 And Hezekiah spake comfortably unto all the Levites that taught the good knowledge of the Lord: and they did eat throughout the feast seven days, offering peace offerings, and making confession to the Lord God of their fathers.
23 And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept other seven days with gladness.
24 For Hezekiah king of Judah did give to the congregation a thousand bullocks and seven thousand sheep; and the princes gave to the congregation a thousand bullocks and ten thousand sheep: and a great number of priests sanctified themselves.
25 And all the congregation of Judah, with the priests and the Levites, and all the congregation that came out of Israel, and the strangers that came out of the land of Israel, and that dwelt in Judah, rejoiced.
26 So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.
27 Then the priests the Levites arose and blessed the people: and their voice was heard, and their prayer came up to his holy dwelling place, even unto heaven.
