2 有人稟告約沙法說：「有一支大軍從死海對岸的以東[a]殺來，已經攻到哈洗遜·他瑪。」哈洗遜·他瑪就是隱·基底。 3 約沙法很害怕，決定尋求耶和華，在整個猶大宣告禁食。 4 猶大人聚集起來尋求耶和華。他們從猶大各城前來尋求耶和華。

2 Then some came and told Jehoshaphat, saying, “A great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea, from [a]Syria; and they are (A)in Hazazon Tamar” (which is (B)En Gedi). 3 And Jehoshaphat feared, and set [b]himself to (C)seek the Lord, and (D)proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. 4 So Judah gathered together to ask (E)help from the Lord; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.
