2 于是，所罗门选派了七万人作挑夫，八万人在山上凿石，三千六百人作督工。（本节在《马索拉文本》为2:1） 3 所罗门派人去见推罗王希兰说：“你怎样待我的父亲大卫，给他运来香柏木，为他建造宫殿居住，请你也这样待我。 4 现在我要为耶和华我 神的名建造殿宇，分别为圣献给他，在他面前焚烧芬芳的香，经常摆上陈设饼，每日早晚、安息日、初一，以及耶和华我们的 神所定的节日，都献上燔祭；这是以色列人永远的定例。

2 He conscripted 70,000 men as carriers and 80,000 as stonecutters in the hills and 3,600 as foremen over them.(A)
3 Solomon sent this message to Hiram[a](B) king of Tyre:
“Send me cedar logs(C) as you did for my father David when you sent him cedar to build a palace to live in. 4 Now I am about to build a temple(D) for the Name of the Lord my God and to dedicate it to him for burning fragrant incense(E) before him, for setting out the consecrated bread(F) regularly, and for making burnt offerings(G) every morning and evening and on the Sabbaths,(H) at the New Moons(I) and at the appointed festivals of the Lord our God. This is a lasting ordinance for Israel.
