4 犹大的儿子是法勒斯、希斯仑、迦米、户珥、朔巴。 2 朔巴的儿子利亚雅生雅哈，雅哈生亚户买和拉哈。他们都属于琐拉人的宗族。 3 以坦的儿子[a]是耶斯列、伊施玛和伊得巴，女儿名叫哈悉勒玻尼。 4 基多的父亲是毗努伊勒，户沙的父亲是以谢珥。这些人都是伯利恒的父亲、以法她的长子户珥的后代。 5 提哥亚的父亲亚施户有两个妻子，一个名叫希拉，一个名叫拿拉。 6 拿拉给他生了亚户撒、希弗、提米尼和哈辖斯他利。这些都是拿拉的儿子。 7 希拉的儿子是洗列、琐辖和伊提南。 8 哥斯生亚诺和琐比巴，他也是哈伦的儿子亚哈黑宗族的祖先。 9 雅比斯比他的众弟兄尊贵，他母亲给他取名叫雅比斯，意思是：“我生他时非常痛苦”。 10 雅比斯向以色列的上帝祷告说：“愿你赐福给我，扩大我的疆土，与我同在，使我远离患难和痛苦。”上帝答应了他的祈求。

21 犹大有个儿子名叫示拉。示拉的后代是利迦的父亲珥、玛利沙的父亲拉大、在亚实比织细麻布的各家族、 22 约敬、哥西巴人、约阿施以及统治摩押和雅叔比利恒的萨拉。这都是古代的记录。 23 他们都是住在尼他英和基低拉的陶匠，他们在那里为王效力。
西缅的后裔
24 西缅的儿子是尼姆利、雅悯、雅立、谢拉和扫罗。 25 扫罗的儿子是沙龙，沙龙的儿子是米比衫，米比衫的儿子是米施玛， 26 米施玛的儿子是哈姆利，哈姆利的儿子是撒刻，撒刻的儿子是示每。 27 示每有十六个儿子和六个女儿，他弟兄的儿女不多。他们整个宗族的人不如犹大宗族的人多。 28 西缅人住在别示巴、摩拉大、哈萨·书亚、 29 辟拉、以森、陀腊、 30 彼土利、何珥玛、洗革拉、 31 伯·玛嘉博、哈萨·苏撒、伯·比利、沙拉音。在大卫做王以前，这些都是西缅人的城邑。 32 他们还有五座城邑：以坦、亚因、临门、陀健、亚珊， 33 以及这些城附近的村庄，远至巴力。这些都是他们的住处。他们有自己的家谱。
34 西缅的后代还有米所巴、雅米勒、亚玛谢的儿子约沙、 35 约珥、约示比的儿子耶户。约示比是西莱雅的儿子，西莱雅是亚薛的儿子。 36 西缅的后代还有以利约乃、雅哥巴、约朔海、亚帅雅、亚底业、耶西篾、比拿雅、 37 示非的儿子细撒。示非是亚龙的儿子，亚龙是耶大雅的儿子，耶大雅是申利的儿子，申利是示玛雅的儿子。 38 以上所提的这些人都是族长，各宗族都人丁兴旺。 39 他们前往平原东边的基多谷寻找牧羊的草场， 40 找到了一片肥沃的草场，又辽阔又安静。从前含族人在那里居住。 41 在犹大王希西迦执政期间，以上这些西缅人的族长来攻打含族人的驻地和那里所有的米乌尼人，消灭了他们，占据了那里，一直住到今天，因为那里有可以牧羊的草场。 42 有五百个西缅人在以示的儿子毗拉提、尼利雅、利法雅和乌薛的带领下前往西珥山， 43 铲除了残余的亚玛力人，从此定居在那里，直到今日。

2 Reaja, fils de Schobal, engendra Jachath; Jachath engendra Achumaï et Lahad. Ce sont les familles des Tsoreathiens.
3 Voici les descendants du père d'Étham: Jizreel, Jischma et Jidbasch; le nom de leur soeur était Hatselelponi.
4 Penuel était père de Guedor, et Ézer père de Huscha. Ce sont là les fils de Hur, premier-né d'Éphrata, père de Bethléhem.
5 Aschchur, père de Tekoa, eut deux femmes, Hélea et Naara.
6 Naara lui enfanta Achuzzam, Hépher, Thémeni et Achaschthari: ce sont là les fils de Naara.
7 Fils de Hélea: Tséreth, Tsochar et Ethnan.
8 Kots engendra Anub et Hatsobéba, et les familles d'Acharchel, fils d'Harum.
9 Jaebets était plus considéré que ses frères; sa mère lui donna le nom de Jaebets, en disant: C'est parce que je l'ai enfanté avec douleur.
10 Jaebets invoqua le Dieu d'Israël, en disant: Si tu me bénis et que tu étendes mes limites, si ta main est avec moi, et si tu me préserves du malheur, en sorte que je ne sois pas dans la souffrance!... Et Dieu accorda ce qu'il avait demandé.
11 Kelub, frère de Schucha, engendra Mechir, qui fut père d'Eschthon.
12 Eschthon engendra la maison de Rapha, Paséach, et Thechinna, père de la ville de Nachasch. Ce sont là les hommes de Réca.
13 Fils de Kenaz: Othniel et Seraja. Fils d'Othniel: Hathath.
14 Meonothaï engendra Ophra. Seraja engendra Joab, père de la vallée des ouvriers; car ils étaient ouvriers.
15 Fils de Caleb, fils de Jephunné: Iru, Éla et Naam, et les fils d'Éla, et Kenaz.
16 Fils de Jehalléleel: Ziph, Zipha, Thirja et Asareel.
17 Fils d'Esdras: Jéther, Méred, Épher et Jalon. La femme de Méred enfanta Miriam, Schammaï, et Jischbach, père d'Eschthemoa.
18 Sa femme, la Juive, enfanta Jéred, père de Guedor, Héber, père de Soco, et Jekuthiel, père de Zanoach. Ceux-là sont les fils de Bithja, fille de Pharaon, que Méred prit pour femme.
19 Fils de la femme d'Hodija, soeur de Nacham: le père de Kehila, le Garmien, et Eschthemoa, le Maacathien.
20 Fils de Simon: Amnon, Rinna, Ben Hanan et Thilon. Fils de Jischeï: Zocheth et Ben Zocheth.
21 Fils de Schéla, fils de Juda: Er, père de Léca, Laeda, père de Maréscha, et les familles de la maison où l'on travaille le byssus, de la maison d'Aschbéa,
22 et Jokim, et les hommes de Cozéba, et Joas et Saraph, qui dominèrent sur Moab, et Jaschubi Léchem. Ces choses sont anciennes.
23 C'étaient les potiers et les habitants des plantations et des parcs; ils demeuraient là près du roi et travaillaient pour lui.
24 Fils de Siméon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zérach, Saül.
25 Fils de Saül: Schallum. Mibsam, son fils; Mischma, son fils.
26 Fils de Mischma: Hammuel, son fils. Zaccur, son fils; Schimeï, son fils.
27 Schimeï eut seize fils et six filles. Ses frères n'eurent pas beaucoup de fils. Et toutes leurs familles ne se multiplièrent pas autant que les fils de Juda.
28 Ils habitaient à Beer Schéba, à Molada, à Hatsar Schual,
29 à Bilha, à Etsem, à Tholad,
30 à Bethuel, à Horma, à Tsiklag,
31 à Beth Marcaboth, à Hatsar Susim, à Beth Bireï et à Schaaraïm. Ce furent là leurs villes jusqu'au règne de David, et leurs villages.
32 Ils avaient encore Etham, Aïn, Rimmon, Thoken et Aschan, cinq villes;
33 et tous les villages aux environs de ces villes, jusqu'à Baal. Voilà leurs habitations et leur généalogie.
34 Meschobab; Jamlec; Joscha, fils d'Amatsia;
35 Joël; Jéhu, fils de Joschibia, fils de Seraja, fils d'Asiel;
36 Eljoénaï; Jaakoba; Jeschochaja; Asaja; Adiel; Jesimiel; Benaja;
37 Ziza, fils de Schipheï, fils d'Allon, fils de Jedaja, fils de Schimri, fils de Schemaeja.
38 Ceux-là, désignés par leurs noms, étaient princes dans leurs familles, et leurs maisons paternelles prirent un grand accroissement.
39 Ils allèrent du côté de Guedor jusqu'à l'orient de la vallée, afin de chercher des pâturages pour leurs troupeaux.
40 Ils trouvèrent de gras et bons pâturages, et un pays vaste, tranquille et paisible, car ceux qui l'habitaient auparavant descendaient de Cham.
41 Ces hommes, inscrits par leurs noms, arrivèrent du temps d'Ézéchias, roi de Juda; ils attaquèrent leurs tentes et les Maonites qui se trouvaient là, ils les dévouèrent par interdit jusqu'à ce jour, et ils s'établirent à leur place, car il y avait là des pâturages pour leurs troupeaux.
42 Il y eut aussi des fils de Siméon qui allèrent à la montagne de Séir, au nombre de cinq cents hommes. Ils avaient à leur tête Pelathia, Nearia, Rephaja et Uziel, fils de Jischeï.
43 Ils battirent le reste des réchappés d'Amalek, et ils s'établirent là jusqu'à ce jour.

3 Y estas son las del padre de Etham: Jezreel, Isma, é Ibdas. Y el nombre de su hermana fué Haslelponi.
4 Y Penuel fué padre de Gedor, y Ezer padre de Husa. Estos fueron los hijos de Hur, primogénito de Ephrata, padre de Beth-lehem.
5 Y Asur padre de Tecoa tuvo dos mujeres, á saber, Helea, y Naara.
6 Y Naara le parió á Auzam, y á Hepher, á Themeni, y á Ahastari. Estos fueron los hijos de Naara.
7 Y los hijos de Helea: Sereth, Jesohar, Ethnán.
8 Y Cos engendró á Anob, y á Sobeba, y la familia de Aharhel hijo de Arum.
9 Y Jabes fué más ilustre que sus hermanos, al cual su madre llamó Jabes, diciendo: Por cuanto le parí en dolor.
10 E invocó Jabes al Dios de Israel, diciendo: Oh si me dieras bendición, y ensancharas mi término, y si tu mano fuera conmigo, y me libraras de mal, que no me dañe! E hizo Dios que le viniese lo que pidió.
11 Y Caleb hermano de Sua engendró á Machîr, el cual fué padre de Esthón.
12 Y Esthón engendró á Beth-rapha, á Phasea, y á Tehinna, padre de la ciudad de Naas: estos son los varones de Rechâ.
13 Los hijos de Cenes: Othniel, y Seraiah. Los hijos de Othniel: Hathath,
14 Y Maonathi, el cual engendró á, Ophra: y Seraiah engendró á Joab, padre de los habitantes en el valle llamado de Carisim, porque fueron artífices.

18 Y su mujer Judaía le parió á Jered padre de Gedor, y á Heber padre de Sochô, y á Icuthiel padre de Zanoa. Estos fueron los hijos de Bethia hija de Faraón, con la cual casó Mered.
19 Y los hijos de la mujer de Odías, hermana de Naham, fueron el padre de Keila de Garmi, y Esthemoa de Maachâti.
20 Y los hijos de Simón: Amnón, y Rinna, hijo de Hanán, y Tilón. Y los hijos de Isi: Zoheth, y Benzoheth.
21 Los hijos de Sela, hijo de Judá: Er, padre de Lechâ, y Laada, padre de Maresa, y de la familia de la casa del oficio del lino en la casa de Asbea;
22 Y Joacim, y los varones de Chôzeba, y Joas, y Saraph, los cuales moraron en Moab, y Jasubi-lehem, que son palabras antiguas.
23 Estos fueron alfareros y se hallaban en medio de plantíos y cercados, los cuales moraron allá con el rey en su obra.
24 Los hijos de Simeón: Nemuel, Jamín, Jarib, Zera, Saúl;
25 También Sallum su hijo, Mibsam su hijo, y Misma su hijo.
26 Los hijos de Misma: Hamuel su hijo, Zachûr su hijo, y Simi su hijo.
27 Los hijos de Simi fueron diez y seis, y seis hijas: mas sus hermanos no tuvieron muchos hijos, ni multiplicaron toda su familia como los hijos de Judá.
28 Y habitaron en Beer-seba, y en Molada, y en Hasar-sual,
29 Y en Bala, y en Esem, y en Tholad,
30 Y en Bethuel, y en Horma, y en Siclag.
31 Y en Beth-marchâboth, y en Hasasusim, y en Beth-birai, y en Saaraim. Estas fueron sus ciudades hasta el reino de David.

38 Estos por sus nombres son los principales que vinieron en sus familias, y que fueron multiplicados muy mucho en las casas de sus padres.
39 Y llegaron hasta la entrada de Gador hasta el oriente del valle, buscando pastos para sus ganados.
40 Y hallaron gruesos y buenos pastos, y tierra ancha y espaciosa, y quieta y reposada, porque los de Châm la habitaban de antes.
41 Y estos que han sido escritos por sus nombres, vinieron en días de Ezechîas rey de Judá, y desbarataron sus tiendas y estancias que allí hallaron, y destruyéronlos, hasta hoy, y habitaron allí en lugar de ellos; por cuanto había allí pastos para sus ganados.
42 Y asimismo quinientos hombres de ellos, de los hijos de Simeón, se fueron al monte de seir, llevando por capitanes á Pelatía, y á Nearías, y á Rephaías, y á Uzziel, hijos de Isi;
43 E hirieron á las reliquias que habían quedado de Amalec, y habitaon allí hasta hoy.

4 These are the sons of Judah: Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur,
2 Shobal’s son Reaiah was the father of Jahath, the ancestor of Ahumai and Lahad. These were known as the Zorathite clans.
3-4 The descendants of Etam: Jezreel, Ishma, Idbash, Hazzelelponi (his daughter), Penuel (the ancestor of Gedor), Ezer (the ancestor of Hushah), the son of Hur, the oldest son of Ephrathah, who was the father of Bethlehem.
5 Ashhur, the father of Tekoa, had two wives—
6 Naarah bore him Ahuzzam, Hepher, Temeni, and Haahashtari; 7 and Helah bore him Zereth, Izhar, and Ethnan.
8 Koz was the father of Anub and Zobebah; he was also the ancestor of the clan named after Aharhel, the son of Harum.
9 Jabez was more distinguished than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because she had such a hard time at his birth (Jabez means[a] “Distress”).
10 He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would wonderfully bless me and help me in my work; please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all evil and disaster!” And God granted him his request.
11-12 The descendants of Recah were:
Chelub (the brother of Shuhah), whose son was Mahir, the father of
Eshton was the father of Bethrapha, Paseah, and
Tehinnah was the father of Irnahash.
13 The sons of Kenaz were
Othniel’s sons were Hathath and
14 Meonothai was the father of Ophrah;
Seraiah was the father of Joab, the ancestor of the inhabitants of Craftsman Valley (called that because many craftsmen lived there).
15 The sons of Caleb (the son of Jephunneh): Iru,
The sons of Elah included Kenaz.
16 Jehallelel’s sons were: Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria, Asarel.
17 Ezrah’s sons were: Jether,
Mered married Bithiah, an Egyptian princess. She was the mother of Miriam, Shammai, and Ishbah—an ancestor of
18 Eshtemoa’s wife was a Jewess; she was the mother of Jered, Heber, and Jekuthiel, who were, respectively, the ancestors of the Gedorites, Socoites, and Zanoahites.
19 Hodiah’s wife was the sister of Naham. One of her sons was the father of Keilah the Garmite, and another was the father of Eshtemoa the Maacathite.
20 The sons of Shimon: Amnon, Rinnah, Ben-hanan, Tilon.
The sons of Ishi: Zoheth, Ben-zoheth.
21-22 The sons of Shelah (the son of Judah):
Er (the father of Lecah),
Laadah (the father of Mareshah),
The families of the linen workers who worked at Beth-ashbea,
Jokim,
The clans of Cozeba,
Joash,
Saraph (who was a ruler in Moab before he returned to Lehem).
These names all come from very ancient records.
23 These clans were noted for their pottery, gardening, and planting; they all worked for the king.
24 The sons of Simeon: Nemuel, Jamin, Jarib, Zerah,
25 Shaul’s son was Shallum, his grandson was Mibsam, and his great-grandson was
26 Mishma’s sons included Hammuel (the father of Zaccur and grandfather of
27 Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters, but none of his brothers had large families—they all had fewer children than was normal in Judah.
28 They lived at Beersheba, Moladah, Hazar-shual, 29 Bilhah, Ezem, Tolad, 30 Bethuel, Hormah, Ziklag, 31 Beth-marcaboth, Hazar-susim, Beth-biri, and Shaaraim. These cities were under their control until the time of David.
32-33 Their descendants also lived in or near Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochen, and Ashan; some were as far away as Baal. (These facts are recorded in their genealogies.)
34-39 These are the names of some of the princes of wealthy clans who traveled to the east side of Gedor Valley in search of pasture for their flocks: Meshobab, Jamlech, Joshah, Joel, Jehu, Elioenai, Jaakobah, Jeshohaiah, Asaiah, Adiel, Jesimiel, Benaiah, Ziza (the son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah).
40-41 They found good pastures, and everything was quiet and peaceful; but the land belonged to the descendants of Ham.
So during the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah these princes invaded the land and struck down the tents and houses of the descendants of Ham; they killed the inhabitants of the land and took possession of it for themselves.
42 Later, five hundred of these invaders from the tribe of Simeon went to Mount Seir. (Their leaders were Pelatiah, Neariah, Rephaiah, and Uzziel—all sons of Ishi.)
43 There they destroyed the few surviving members of the tribe of Amalek. And they have lived there ever since.
