大衛親自預備建殿的材料

29 大衛王對全體會眾說：“我的兒子所羅門，是　神所揀選的，現在還年幼識淺，而這工程非常浩大；因為這殿宇不是為人建造，而是為耶和華　神建造的。 2 我為我　神的殿已經盡了我的力量，預備了金子做金器，銀子做銀器，銅做銅器，鐵做鐵器，木做木器；還有紅瑪瑙、用作鑲嵌的寶石、彩石和各樣的寶石，以及很多大理石。 3 不但這樣，因我愛慕我　神的殿，就在我為建造聖殿預備的一切以外，又把我自己積蓄的金銀獻給我　神的殿： 4 就是俄斐金一百多公噸，精煉的銀子約兩百四十公噸，用來貼殿裡的牆壁； 5 金子做金器，銀子做銀器，以及匠人手所作的各樣巧工。今日有誰願意奉獻給耶和華呢？”

民眾上下一心，自願奉獻

6 於是各家族的領袖、以色列各支派的領袖、千夫長、百夫長和管理王的事務的領袖，都樂意奉獻。 7 為了神殿裡的需用，他們奉獻了金子一百七十多公噸，銀子三百四十多公噸，銅約六百二十公噸和鐵三千四百公噸。 8 有寶石的，都交到耶和華殿這庫房，由革順人耶歇經辦。 9 人民因這些人自願奉獻而歡喜，因為他們一心樂意奉獻給耶和華，大衛王也非常歡喜。

大衛稱頌耶和華

29 Apoi regele David a zis întregii adunări:

şi o sută de mii de talanţi[i] de fier.

8 Cine a avut pietre preţioase le-a dăruit pentru vistieria Casei Domnului, de care avea grijă gherşonitul Iehiel. 9 Poporul s-a bucurat de darurile pe care le-a făcut, căci le-a dăruit Domnului din toată inima; de asemenea, şi regele David s-a bucurat nespus de mult.

Rugăciunea lui David

10 David a binecuvântat pe Domnul înaintea întregii adunări, zicând astfel:

„Binecuvântat să fii Tu, Doamne, Dumnezeul lui Israel, Părintele nostru, pentru veci de veci! 11 Ale Tale sunt, Doamne, măreţia, puterea, gloria, biruinţa şi maiestatea, atât în ceruri, cât şi pe pământ! A Ta, Doamne, este stăpânirea şi Tu Te înalţi ca suveran peste toate! 12 Bogăţia şi slava vin dinaintea Ta. Tu stăpâneşti peste toate. În mâna Ta este puterea şi tăria; mâna Ta poate să înalţe şi să întărească pe oricine. 13 Acum, Dumnezeul nostru, noi Îţi aducem mulţumiri şi lăudăm slăvitul Tău Nume. 14 Căci ce sunt eu şi ce este poporul meu, ca să putem fi în stare să-Ţi oferim aceste daruri? De la Tine le avem pe toate şi ceea ce Ţi-am oferit a fost primit din mâna Ta. 15 Înaintea Ta noi suntem doar nişte străini şi peregrini, la fel ca şi strămoşii noştri. Zilele noastre pe pământ sunt ca o umbră, fără nădejde. 16 Doamne, Dumnezeul nostru, tot acest belşug pe care l-am strâns ca să zidim o Casă Numelui Tău cel sfânt, vine din mâna Ta şi totul Îţi aparţine Ţie. 17 Dumnezeul meu, ştiu că Tu cercetezi inima, iar curăţia Îţi este plăcută. Solomon recunoscut drept rege

21 În ziua următoare au adus jertfe Domnului şi au oferit ca arderi de tot Domnului o mie de boi, o mie de berbeci şi o mie de miei, împreună cu jertfe de băutură şi o mulţime de alte jertfe aduse din partea întregului Israel. 22 În ziua aceea au mâncat şi au băut în prezenţa Domnului cu mare bucurie, l-au făcut rege a doua oară pe Solomon, fiul lui David, şi l-au uns drept conducător al[j] Domnului, iar pe Ţadok – ca preot. 23 Solomon s-a aşezat pe tronul Domnului, ca să domnească în locul lui David, tatăl său; el a avut izbândă şi întregul Israel a ascultat de el. 24 Toate căpeteniile, vitejii şi toţi fiii regelui David, s-au supus regelui Solomon. 25 Domnul l-a înălţat pe Solomon înaintea întregului Israel şi i-a făcut parte de o domnie mai strălucită decât a oricărui alt rege al lui Israel care a fost înainte de el.

Necrologul lui David

29 大卫王又对全体会众说：“我儿所罗门是上帝特别拣选的，但他还年轻，缺乏经验。建殿的工程浩大，因为这殿不是为人造的，乃是为耶和华上帝造的。 2 我已竭尽所能为我上帝的殿预备了制作金器、银器、铜器、铁器和木器所需的金银铜铁及木头，还有大量的玛瑙、镶嵌用的宝石、彩石、大理石及其他贵重的石头。 3 而且，我因为爱慕我上帝的殿，除了预备以上物品外，还把自己珍藏的金银献上，用来建造我上帝的殿。 4 我献上一百吨俄斐金、二百四十吨纯银，用来贴殿墙， 5 供匠人制作金器银器。今天，有谁乐意向耶和华奉献？”

Offerings for the Temple

29 Then King David said to the entire assembly, “My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, (A)is still young and inexperienced and the work is great; for (B)the [a]temple is not for man, but for Yahweh God. 2 Now (C)with all my power I have prepared for the house of my God the gold for the things of gold, and the silver for the things of silver, and the bronze for the things of bronze, the iron for the things of iron, and wood for the things of wood, onyx stones and inlaid stones, stones of antimony and stones of various colors, and all kinds of precious stones and alabaster in abundance. 3 Moreover, in my pleasure in the house of my God, the treasure I have of gold and silver, I give to the house of my God, over and above all that I have already prepared for the holy [b]house, 4 namely, [c](D)3,000 talents of gold, of (E)the gold of Ophir, and [d]7,000 talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the [e]buildings; 5 of gold for the things of gold and of silver for the things of silver, that is, for all the work done by the hand of craftsmen. Who then would offer willingly [f]to ordain himself this day to Yahweh?”

6 Then (F)the commanders of the fathers’ households, and the commanders of the tribes of Israel, and the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, with (G)the commanders of the king’s work, offered willingly; 7 and for the service for the house of God they gave 5,000 talents and 10,000 [g](H)darics of gold, and 10,000 talents of silver, and 18,000 talents of brass, and 100,000 talents of iron. 8 [h]And whoever possessed precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of Yahweh, [i]in the care of (I)Jehiel the Gershonite. 9 Then the people were glad because they had offered so willingly, for they made their freewill offering to Yahweh (J)with a whole heart, and King David also was exceedingly glad.

David Blesses Yahweh

10 So David blessed Yahweh in the sight of all the assembly; and David said, “Blessed are You, O Yahweh, the God of Israel our father, from everlasting to everlasting. 11 (K)Yours, O Yahweh, is the greatness and the [j]power and the glory and the [k]victory and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and the earth; Yours is the kingdom, O Yahweh, and You exalt Yourself as head over all. 12 (L)Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and (M)in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone. 13 So now, our God, we are thanking You and praising Your glorious name.

14 “But who am I and who are my people that we should [l]be able to offer as willingly as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given You. 15 For (N)we are sojourners before You, and foreign residents, like all our fathers were; (O)our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no hope. 16 O Yahweh our God, all this abundance that we have prepared to build You a house for Your holy name, it is from Your hand, and all is Yours. 17 And I know, O my God, that (P)You try the heart and (Q)delight in uprightness. I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these things. So now with gladness I have seen Your people, who are present here, make their offerings willingly to You. 18 O Yahweh, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the [m]intentions of the heart of Your people, and prepare their heart to You; 19 and (R)give to my son Solomon a whole heart to keep Your commandments, Your testimonies and Your statutes, and to do them all, and (S)to build the [n]temple, for which I have made preparation.”

20 Then David said to all the assembly, “Now bless Yahweh your God.” And (T)all the assembly blessed Yahweh, the God of their fathers, and (U)bowed low and prostrated themselves to Yahweh and to the king.

Sacrifices to Yahweh

21 And on the next day (V)they [o]made sacrifices to Yahweh and offered burnt offerings to Yahweh, 1,000 bulls, 1,000 rams, and 1,000 lambs, with their drink offerings and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel. 22 So they ate and drank that day before Yahweh with great gladness.

David’s Officials and Sons Pledge Allegiance

And they made Solomon the son of David king (W)a second time, and they (X)anointed him as ruler for Yahweh and Zadok as priest. 23 Then (Y)Solomon sat on the throne of Yahweh as king instead of David his father; and he succeeded, and all Israel obeyed him. 24 And all the officials, the mighty men, and also all the sons of King David [p]pledged allegiance to King Solomon. 25 (Z)And Yahweh highly exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel, and (AA)granted to him royal majesty which had not been on any king before him in Israel.

26 Now (AB)David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel. 27 (AC)And the [q]time which he reigned over Israel was forty years; in Hebron he reigned seven years and [r]in Jerusalem thirty-three years.

Death of David

28 Then he died in (AD)a good old age, (AE)full of days, riches and glory; and his son Solomon became king in his place. 29 Now the acts of King David, from first to last, behold, they are written in the chronicles of (AF)Samuel the seer, in the chronicles of (AG)Nathan the prophet and in the chronicles of (AH)Gad the seer, 30 with all his reign, his might, and the circumstances which came on him, on Israel, and on all the kingdoms of the lands.
