以色列各支派的领袖
16 掌管以色列各支派的记在下面:流本支派的首领是细基利的儿子以利以谢;西缅支派的首领是玛迦的儿子示法提雅; 17 利未支派的首领是基母利的儿子哈沙比雅;亚伦子孙的首领是撒督; 18 犹大支派的首领是大卫的哥哥以利户;以萨迦支派的首领是米迦勒的儿子暗利; 19 西布伦支派的首领是俄巴第雅的儿子伊施玛雅;拿弗他利支派的首领是亚斯列的儿子耶利摩; 20 以法莲支派的首领是阿撒细雅的儿子何细亚;玛拿西半个支派的首领是毘大雅的儿子约珥; 21 基列地玛拿西那半个支派的首领是撒迦利亚的儿子易多;便雅悯支派的首领是押尼珥的儿子雅西业; 22 但支派的首领是耶罗罕的儿子亚萨列。以上这些人是以色列各支派的领袖。 23 以色列人二十岁以下的,大卫都没有登记他们的数目,因为耶和华曾经说过要增添以色列人的数目,好象天上的星那样多。 24 洗鲁雅的儿子约押开始数点,但还没有完成,为了这事耶和华的忿怒就临到以色列人身上,所以以色列的人数没有记在大卫王的年录上。
王室财政与产业的主管
25 管理王的库房的,是亚叠的儿子押斯马威;管理郊野、城市、乡村和望楼的仓库的,是乌西雅的儿子约拿单; 26 管理耕田种地的,是基绿的儿子以斯利; 27 管理葡萄园的,是拉玛人示每;管理园里酒库的,是实弗米人撒巴底; 28 管理高原橄榄树和桑树的,是基第利人巴力.哈南;管理油库的,是约阿施; 29 管理在沙仑牧放的牛群的,是沙仑人施提赉;管理在山谷的牛群的,是亚第赉的儿子沙法; 30 管理骆驼的,是以实玛利人阿比勒;管理驴群的,是米仑人耶希底亚; 31 管理羊群的,是夏甲人雅悉。以上这些人都是给大卫王管理产业的官员。
大卫的重要臣仆

27 Of the princes and rulers that ministered unto the King.
1 The children of Israel also after their number, even the chief fathers and captains of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers that served the king by divers [a]courses, [b]which came in and went out, month by month throughout all the months of the year: in every course were four and twenty thousand.
2 Over the first course for the first month was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel: and in his course were four and twenty thousand.
3 Of the sons of Perez was the chief over all the princes of the armies for the first month.
4 And over the course of the second month was Dodai an Ahohite, and this was his course, and Mikloth was [c]a captain, and in his course were four and twenty thousand.
5 The captain of the third host for the third month was Benaiah the son of Jehoiada the chief Priest: and in his course were four and twenty thousand.
6 This Benaiah was mighty among (A)thirty and above the thirty, and in his course was Ammizabad his son.
7 The fourth for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him: and in his course were four and twenty thousand.
8 The fifth for the fifth month was prince Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his course four and twenty thousand.
9 The sixth for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his course four and twenty thousand.
10 The seventh for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the sons of Ephraim: and in his course four and twenty thousand.
11 The eight for the eight month was Sibbechai the Hushathite of the Zarhites: and in his course four and twenty thousand.
12 The ninth for the ninth month was Abiezer the Anathothite of the sons of [d]Jemini: and in his course four and twenty thousand.
13 The tenth for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite of the Zarhites: and in his course four and twenty thousand.
14 The eleventh for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite of the sons of Ephraim: and in his course four and twenty thousand.
15 The twelfth for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his course four and twenty thousand.
16 ¶ Moreover [e]the rulers over the tribes of Israel were these: over the Reubenites was ruler, Eliezer the son of Zichri: over the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maachah:
17 Over the Levites, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel: over them of Aaron, and Zadok:
18 Over Judah, Elihu of the brethren of David: over Issachar, Omri the son of Michael:
19 Over Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah: over Naphtali, Jerimoth the son of Azriel:
20 Over the sons of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah: over the half tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah:
21 Over the [f]other half of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah: over Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner:
22 Over Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham. These are the princes of the tribes of Israel.
23 But David took not the number of them from twenty years old and under, because the Lord had said that he would increase Israel like unto the stars of the heavens.
24 And (B)Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number: but he finished it not, [g]because there came wrath for it against Israel: neither was the number put into the [h]Chronicles of king David.
25 And over the king’s treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the treasures in the fields, in the cities and in the villages, and in the towers was Jehonathan the son of Uzziah:
26 And over the workmen in the field that tilleth the ground, was Ezri the son of Chelub:
27 And over them that dressed the vines, was Shimei the Ramathite: and over that which appertained to the vines, and over the store of the wine was Zabdi the Shiphmite:
28 And over the olive trees and mulberry trees that were in the valleys, was Baal-Hanan the Gederite: and over the store of the oil was Joash:
29 And over the oxen that fed in Sharon, was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the oxen in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai:
30 And over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the asses was Jehdeiah the Meronothite:
31 And over the sheep was Jaziz the Hagrite: all these were the rulers of the substance that was king David’s.
32 And Jehonathan David’s uncle a man of counsel and understanding (for he was a [i]scribe) and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni were with the King’s [j]sons.
33 And Ahithophel was the king’s counselor, and Hushai the Archite the king’s friend.
34 And [k]after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah and Abiathar: and captain of the King’s army was Joab.

27 This is the list of the Israelites, the heads of fathers’ houses, the commanders of thousands and hundreds, and their officers who served the king in all matters of the divisions that came and went, month by month throughout the year, each division numbering 24,000.
2 Over the first division for the first month was Jashobeam son of Zabdiel. In his division were 24,000.
3 He was descended from Perez and was chief of all the commanders of the army for the first month.
4 Over the division for the second month was Dodai the Ahohite; and of his division Mikloth was the chief officer. In his division were 24,000.
5 The third commander of the army for the third month was Benaiah son of Jehoiada the priest, as chief. In his division were 24,000.
6 This is the Benaiah who was a mighty man of the Thirty and over the Thirty; and in his division was Ammizabad his son.
7 The fourth, for the fourth month, Asahel brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him. In his division were 24,000.
8 The fifth, for the fifth month, Shamhuth the Izrahite. In his division were 24,000.
9 The sixth, for the sixth month, Ira son of Ikkesh the Tekoite. In his division were 24,000.
10 The seventh, for the seventh month, Helez the Pelonite, of the Ephraimites. In his division were 24,000.
11 The eighth, for the eighth month, Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zarahites. In his division were 24,000.

24 Joab son of Zeruiah began a census but did not finish, because the census brought wrath upon Israel, and the number was not recorded in the chronicles of King David.
25 Over the king’s treasuries was Azmaveth son of Adiel; and over the treasuries in the country, cities, villages, and towers or forts was Jonathan son of Uzziah;
26 Over those who did the work of the field of tilling the soil was Ezri son of Chelub;
27 Over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite; over the produce of the vineyards for the wine cellars, Zabdi the Shiphmite;
28 Over the olive and sycamore trees in the low plains, Baal-hanan the Gederite; over the stores of oil, Joash;
29 Over the herds pasturing in Sharon, Shitrai the Sharonite; over the herds in the valleys, Shaphat son of Adlai;
30 Over the camels, Obil the Ishmaelite; over the she-donkeys, Jehdeiah the Meronothite;
31 And over the flocks, Jaziz the Hagrite. All these were stewards of King David’s property.
32 Also Jonathan, David’s uncle, was a counselor, a wise man and a scribe; he and Jehiel son of Hachmoni attended the king’s sons [as tutors].(A)
33 Ahithophel was the king’s counselor; Hushai the Archite was the king’s companion and friend.
34 Ahithophel was succeeded by Jehoiada son of Benaiah and by Abiathar. Joab was the commander of the king’s army.
