Những Người Giữ Cổng Đền Thờ
26 Các ban của những người giữ cổng như sau:
Về dòng Kô-rê có Mê-sê-lê-mi, con trai của Kô-rê, một trong những con cháu của A-sáp.
2 Mê-sê-lê-mi có các con trai là:
Xa-cha-ri, con trưởng nam,
Giê-đi-a-ên, con thứ nhì,
Xê-ba-đia thứ ba
Giát-ni-ên thứ tư,
3 Ê-lam thứ năm,
Giô-ha-nan thứ sáu,
và Ê-li-ô-ê-nai thứ bảy.
4 Các con trai của Ô-bết-Ê-đôm là
Sê-ma-gia, con trưởng nam,
Giê-hô-sa-bát thứ nhì,
Giô-a thứ ba,
Sa-ca thứ tư,
Nê-tha-nên thứ năm,
5 A-mi-ên thứ sáu,
Y-sa-ca thứ bảy,
và Phê-u-lê-tai thứ tám;
vì Đức Chúa Trời ban phước cho Ô-bết-Ê-đôm.
6 Con người là Sê-ma-gia cũng có các con trai lãnh đạo các tộc mình vì chúng là những người dũng mãnh. 7 Các con trai của Sê-ma-gia là Ốt-ni, Rê-pha-ên, Ô-bết, Ên-xa-bát; các anh em họ là Ê-li-hu và Sê-ma-kia đều là những người dũng mãnh. 8 Tất cả những người này đều là con cháu Ô-bết-Ê-đôm; họ, con cái và họ hàng đều là những người dũng mãnh, có khả năng làm việc; có 62 người thuộc dòng dõi Ô-bết-ê-đôm.
9 Mê-sê-lê-mi có các con trai và những người họ hàng, cả thảy là 18 người, đều là những người dũng mãnh.
10 Hô-sa thuộc dòng Mê-ra-ri có các con trai: Sim-ri là trưởng dù người không phải là con đầu nhưng cha người lập người làm con trưởng. 11 Hinh-kia thứ nhì, Tê-ba-lia thứ ba, Xa-cha-ri thứ tư. Tất cả các con trai và họ hàng của Hô-sa là 13 người.
12 Đây là các ban giữ cổng cùng những người trưởng ban; họ cũng như các anh em mình có nhiệm vụ phục vụ đền thờ CHÚA. 13 Họ theo từng tộc, trẻ cũng như già đều bắt thăm nhận cổng.
14 Thăm cho cổng Đông trúng nhằm Sê-lê-mia; thăm về cổng Bắc trúng vào Xa-cha-ri, con Sê-lê-mia, một cố vấn khôn ngoan. 15 Thăm cho cổng Nam trúng vào Ô-bết-Ê-đôm còn thăm về nhà kho nhằm các con trai ông. 16 Súp-bim và Hô-sa được cổng Tây với cửa Sa-lê-kết ở trên con đường dốc. Trạm canh này liền với trạm canh kia: 17 Mỗi ngày có 6 người Lê-vi canh cổng Đông, 4 người canh cổng Bắc, 4 người canh cổng Nam và các nhà kho, 2 người mỗi nhà kho. 18 Về khu phụ thuộc[a] phía tây, 4 người canh ngoài đường và 2 người ở trong khu vực.
19 Đó là những ban canh cổng theo dòng dõi Kô-rê và Mê-ra-ri.
Những Người Quản Lý Nhà Kho Và Thẩm Phán
20 Trong vòng người Lê-vi, A-hi-gia lo việc quản lý các nhà kho đền thờ Đức Chúa Trời và kho chứa các vật thánh.
21 Các con cháu của La-đan thuộc tộc Ghẹt-sôn; trưởng tộc họ La-đan, thuộc tộc Ghẹt-sôn là Giê-hi-ên. 22 Các con trai của Giê-hi-ên là Xê-tham và Giô-ên, em người, quản lý các kho tàng đền thờ CHÚA.
23 Trong các dòng Am-ram, Dít-sê-ha, Hếp-rôn và U-xi-ên,
24 có Sê-bu-ên, con cháu Ghẹt-sôn, thuộc dòng dõi Môi-se là viên chức quản lý kho tàng. 25 Các họ hàng của người theo tộc Ê-li-ê-se: Rê-ha-bia, con người, I-sa, con người, Giô-ram, con người, Xiếc-ri, con người, Sê-lô-mi, con người. 26 Sê-lô-mi và các anh em người quản lý các nhà kho chứa đồ thánh mà vua Đa-vít, các trưởng tộc, các người chỉ huy ngàn quân và trăm quân cùng các người chỉ huy quân đội dâng hiến. 27 Người ta cũng lấy các chiến lợi phẩm trong chiến trận sung vào kho để tu bổ đền thờ CHÚA. 28 Tất cả những vật mà Sa-mu-ên, vị tiên kiến, vua Sau-lơ con trai của Kích, Áp-ne con trai của Nê-rơ, Giô-áp con trai của Xê-ru-gia và mọi người khác dâng hiến đều do Sê-lô-mi và anh em người quản lý.
29 Trong dòng Dít-sê-ha có Kê-na-nia và các con trai người được lập lên làm viên chức và thẩm phán trên Y-sơ-ra-ên, có nhiệm vụ cai quản những việc bên ngoài đền thờ.
30 Trong dòng Hếp-rôn có Ha-sa-bia và họ hàng người, là những người có khả năng, con số lên đến 1,700 người; họ cai quản Y-sơ-ra-ên về phía tây sông Giô-đanh trong mọi công việc của CHÚA cũng như phục dịch vua. 31 Về dòng Hếp-rôn, Giê-ri-gia là trưởng tộc theo gia phả của gia đình. Vào năm thứ bốn mươi dưới triều vua Đa-vít, người ta tra cứu và thấy giữa vòng dòng họ Hếp-rôn có những người có khả năng tại Gia-ê-xe trong vùng Ga-la-át. 32 Những người họ hàng của Giê-ri-gia gồm 2,700 người có khả năng, là trưởng tộc, được vua Đa-vít lập lên cai quản người Ru-bên, người Gát và một nửa bộ tộc Ma-na-se trong mọi công việc của Đức Chúa Trời lẫn của vua.

26 Vad angår dörrvaktarnas avdelningar, så hörde till koraiterna Meselemja, Kores son, av Asafs barn.
2 Och Meselemja hade söner: Sakarja var den förstfödde, Jediael den andre, Sebadja den tredje, Jatniel den fjärde,
3 Elam den femte, Johanan den sjätte, Eljoenai den sjunde.
4 Och Obed-Edom hade söner: Semaja var den förstfödde, Josabad den andre, Joa den tredje, Sakar den fjärde, Netanel den femte,
5 Ammiel den sjätte, Isaskar den sjunde, Peulletai den åttonde; ty Gud hade välsignat honom.
6 Åt hans son Semaja föddes ock söner, som blevo furstar inom sin familj, ty de voro dugande män.
7 Semajas söner voro Otni, Refael och Obed, Elsabad och hans bröder, dugliga män, Elihu och Semakja.
8 Alla dessa hörde till Obed-Edoms avkomlingar, de själva och deras söner och bröder, dugliga och kraftfulla män i tjänsten, tillsammans sextiotvå avkomlingar av Obed-Edom.
9 Meselemja hade ock söner och bröder, dugliga män, tillsammans aderton.
10 Och Hosa, av Meraris barn, hade söner: Simri var huvudmannen, ty visserligen var han icke förstfödd, men hans fader insatte honom till huvudman;
11 Hilkia var den andre, Tebalja den tredje, Sakarja den fjärde. Hosas söner och bröder voro tillsammans tretton.
12 Dessa avdelningar av dörrvaktarna, nämligen dessa deras huvudmän, fingo nu, likasåväl som deras bröder, sina åligganden för att göra tjänst i HERRENS hus.
13 Och om var port kastade de lott, den minste såväl som den störste, efter sina familjer.
14 Den lott som angav öster föll då på Selemja; och för hans son Sakarja, en rådklok man, kastade man lott, och för honom kom ut den lott som angav norr;
15 för Obed-Edom den lott som angav söder, under det att hans söner fingo på sin del förrådshuset;
16 för Suppim och för Hosa den lott som angav platsen västerut, vid Salleketporten, där vägen höjer sig uppåt, det ena vaktstället invid det andra.
17 Österut voro sex leviter, norrut fyra för var dag, söderut fyra för var dag, och vid förrådshuset två i sänder;
18 vid Parbar västerut voro fyra vid vägen och två vid själva Parbar.
19 Dessa voro dörrvaktarnas avdelningar, av koraiternas barn och av Meraris barn.
20 Och av leviterna hade Ahia uppsikten över Guds hus skatter och vården om de förråd som utgjordes av vad som hade blivit helgat åt HERREN.
21 Laedans barn, nämligen gersoniternas barn av Laedans släkt, huvudmannen för gersoniten Laedans familj, jehieliterna,
22 det är jehieliternas barn, Setam och hans broder Joel, hade uppsikten över skatterna i HERRENS hus.
23 Vad angår amramiterna, jishariterna, hebroniterna och ossieliterna,
24 så var Sebuel, son till Gersom, son till Mose, överuppsyningsman över skatterna.
25 Och hans bröder av Eliesers släkt voro dennes son Rehabja, dennes son Jesaja, dennes son Joram, dennes son Sikri och dennes son Selomot.
26 Denne Selomot och hans bröder hade uppsikten över alla förråd som utgjordes av vad som hade blivit helgat åt HERREN av konung David, så ock av huvudmännen för familjerna, ävensom av över- och underhövitsmännen och av härhövitsmännen.
27 Från krigen och av bytet hade de helgat detta för att hålla HERRENS hus vid makt;
28 likaledes allt vad siaren Samuel och Saul, Kis' son, och Abner, Ners son, och Joab, Serujas son, hade helgat -- korteligen, var och en som helgade något lämnade det under Selomits och hans bröders vård.
29 Av jishariterna togos Kenanja och hans söner till de världsliga sysslorna i Israel, till att vara tillsyningsmän och domare.
30 Av hebroniterna togos Hasabja och hans bröder, dugliga män, ett tusen sju hundra, till ämbetsförvaltningen i Israel på andra sidan Jordan, på västra sidan, till alla slags sysslor åt HERREN och till konungens tjänst.
31 För hebroniterna var Jeria huvudman, för hebroniterna efter deras ättföljd och familjer. (I Davids fyrtionde regeringsår anställdes undersökning rörande dem; och bland dem funnos då dugande män i Jaeser i Gilead.)
32 Hans bröder, dugliga män, vore två tusen sju hundra, huvudmän för familjer. Dem satte konung David över rubeniterna, gaditerna och ena hälften av Manasse stam, för att ombesörja alla Guds och konungens angelägenheter.

The Gatekeepers
26 The divisions of the gatekeepers:(A)
From the Korahites: Meshelemiah son of Kore, one of the sons of Asaph.
2 Meshelemiah had sons:
Zechariah(B) the firstborn,
Jediael the second,
Zebadiah the third,
Jathniel the fourth,
3 Elam the fifth,
Jehohanan the sixth
and Eliehoenai the seventh.
4 Obed-Edom also had sons:
Shemaiah the firstborn,
Jehozabad the second,
Joah the third,
Sakar the fourth,
Nethanel the fifth,
5 Ammiel the sixth,
Issachar the seventh
and Peullethai the eighth.
(For God had blessed Obed-Edom.(C))
6 Obed-Edom’s son Shemaiah also had sons, who were leaders in their father’s family because they were very capable men. 7 The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, Rephael, Obed and Elzabad; his relatives Elihu and Semakiah were also able men. 8 All these were descendants of Obed-Edom; they and their sons and their relatives were capable men with the strength to do the work—descendants of Obed-Edom, 62 in all.
9 Meshelemiah had sons and relatives, who were able men—18 in all.
10 Hosah the Merarite had sons: Shimri the first (although he was not the firstborn, his father had appointed him the first),(D) 11 Hilkiah the second, Tabaliah the third and Zechariah the fourth. The sons and relatives of Hosah were 13 in all.
12 These divisions of the gatekeepers, through their leaders, had duties for ministering(E) in the temple of the Lord, just as their relatives had. 13 Lots(F) were cast for each gate, according to their families, young and old alike.
14 The lot for the East Gate(G) fell to Shelemiah.[a] Then lots were cast for his son Zechariah,(H) a wise counselor, and the lot for the North Gate fell to him. 15 The lot for the South Gate fell to Obed-Edom,(I) and the lot for the storehouse fell to his sons. 16 The lots for the West Gate and the Shalleketh Gate on the upper road fell to Shuppim and Hosah.
Guard was alongside of guard: 17 There were six Levites a day on the east, four a day on the north, four a day on the south and two at a time at the storehouse. 18 As for the court[b] to the west, there were four at the road and two at the court[c] itself.
19 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers who were descendants of Korah and Merari.(J)
The Treasurers and Other Officials
20 Their fellow Levites(K) were[d] in charge of the treasuries of the house of God and the treasuries for the dedicated things.(L)
21 The descendants of Ladan, who were Gershonites through Ladan and who were heads of families belonging to Ladan the Gershonite,(M) were Jehieli, 22 the sons of Jehieli, Zetham and his brother Joel. They were in charge of the treasuries(N) of the temple of the Lord.
23 From the Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites and the Uzzielites:(O)
24 Shubael,(P) a descendant of Gershom son of Moses, was the official in charge of the treasuries. 25 His relatives through Eliezer: Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zikri his son and Shelomith(Q) his son. 26 Shelomith and his relatives were in charge of all the treasuries for the things dedicated(R) by King David, by the heads of families who were the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, and by the other army commanders. 27 Some of the plunder taken in battle they dedicated for the repair of the temple of the Lord. 28 And everything dedicated by Samuel the seer(S) and by Saul son of Kish, Abner son of Ner and Joab son of Zeruiah, and all the other dedicated things were in the care of Shelomith and his relatives.
29 From the Izharites: Kenaniah and his sons were assigned duties away from the temple, as officials and judges(T) over Israel.
30 From the Hebronites: Hashabiah(U) and his relatives—seventeen hundred able men—were responsible in Israel west of the Jordan for all the work of the Lord and for the king’s service. 31 As for the Hebronites,(V) Jeriah was their chief according to the genealogical records of their families. In the fortieth(W) year of David’s reign a search was made in the records, and capable men among the Hebronites were found at Jazer in Gilead. 32 Jeriah had twenty-seven hundred relatives, who were able men and heads of families, and King David put them in charge of the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh for every matter pertaining to God and for the affairs of the king.

The Gatekeepers
26 Concerning the divisions of the gatekeepers: of the Korahites, [a]Meshelemiah the son of (A)Kore, of the sons of [b]Asaph. 2 And the sons of Meshelemiah were (B)Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth, 3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.
4 Moreover the sons of (C)Obed-Edom were Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sacar the fourth, Nethanel the fifth, 5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peulthai the eighth; for God blessed him.
6 Also to Shemaiah his son were sons born who governed their fathers’ houses, because they were men of great ability. 7 The sons of Shemaiah were Othni, Rephael, Obed, and Elzabad, whose brothers Elihu and Semachiah were able men.
8 All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom, they and their sons and their brethren, (D)able men with strength for the work: sixty-two of Obed-Edom.
9 And Meshelemiah had sons and brethren, eighteen able men.
10 Also (E)Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the first (for though he was not the firstborn, his father made him the first), 11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth; all the sons and brethren of Hosah were thirteen.
12 Among these were the divisions of the gatekeepers, among the chief men, having duties just like their brethren, to serve in the house of the Lord. 13 And they (F)cast lots for each gate, the small as well as the great, according to their father’s house. 14 The lot for the East Gate fell to [c]Shelemiah. Then they cast lots for his son Zechariah, a wise counselor, and his lot came out for the North Gate; 15 to Obed-Edom the South Gate, and to his sons the [d]storehouse. 16 To Shuppim and Hosah the lot came out for the West Gate, with the Shallecheth Gate on the (G)ascending highway—watchman opposite watchman. 17 On the east were six Levites, on the north four each day, on the south four each day, and for the [e]storehouse two by two. 18 As for the [f]Parbar on the west, there were four on the highway and two at the Parbar. 19 These were the divisions of the gatekeepers among the sons of Korah and among the sons of Merari.
The Treasuries and Other Duties
20 Of the Levites, Ahijah was (H)over the treasuries of the house of God and over the treasuries of the (I)dedicated[g] things. 21 The sons of [h]Laadan, the descendants of the Gershonites of Laadan, heads of their fathers’ houses, of Laadan the Gershonite: [i]Jehieli. 22 The sons of Jehieli, Zetham and Joel his brother, were over the treasuries of the house of the Lord. 23 Of the (J)Amramites, the Izharites, the Hebronites, and the Uzzielites: 24 (K)Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was overseer of the treasuries. 25 And his brethren by Eliezer were Rehabiah his son, Jeshaiah his son, Joram his son, Zichri his son, and (L)Shelomith his son.
26 This Shelomith and his brethren were over all the treasuries of the dedicated things (M)which King David and the heads of fathers’ houses, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated. 27 Some of the [j]spoils won in battles they dedicated to maintain the house of the Lord. 28 And all that Samuel (N)the seer, Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated, every dedicated thing, was under the hand of Shelomith and his brethren.
29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons (O)performed duties as (P)officials and judges over Israel outside Jerusalem.
30 Of the Hebronites, (Q)Hashabiah and his brethren, one thousand seven hundred able men, had the oversight of Israel on the west side of the Jordan for all the business of the Lord, and in the service of the king. 31 Among the Hebronites, (R)Jerijah was head of the Hebronites according to his genealogy of the fathers. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought, and there were found among them capable men (S)at Jazer of Gilead. 32 And his brethren were two thousand seven hundred able men, heads of fathers’ houses, whom King David made officials over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, for every matter pertaining to God and the (T)affairs of the king.
