25 大卫和众首领分派亚萨、希幔并耶杜顿的子孙弹琴、鼓瑟、敲钹、唱歌[a]。他们供职的人数记在下面： 2 亚萨的儿子撒刻、约瑟、尼探雅、亚萨利拉，都归亚萨指教，遵王的旨意唱歌。 3 耶杜顿的儿子基大利、西利、耶筛亚、哈沙比雅、玛他提雅、示每，共六人，都归他们父亲耶杜顿指教，弹琴唱歌，称谢、颂赞耶和华。 4 希幔的儿子布基雅、玛探雅、乌薛、细布业、耶利摩、哈拿尼雅、哈拿尼、以利亚他、基大利提、罗幔提以谢、约施比加沙、玛罗提、何提、玛哈秀， 5 这都是希幔的儿子，吹角颂赞。希幔奉神之命做王的先见。神赐给希幔十四个儿子、三个女儿， 6 都归他们父亲指教，在耶和华的殿唱歌、敲钹、弹琴、鼓瑟，办神殿的事务。亚萨、耶杜顿、希幔都是王所命定的。 7 他们和他们的弟兄学习颂赞耶和华，善于歌唱的共有二百八十八人。 8 这些人，无论大小，为师的为徒的，都一同掣签分了班次。

25 다윗과 [a]레위 지도자들은 아삽과 헤만과 여두둔의 자손 중에서 수금과 비파와 제금에 맞추어 노래로 여호와를 찬양할 사람들을 뽑아 세웠다. 그들의 이름과 그 직무는 다음과 같다:
2 삭굴, 요셉, 느다냐, 아사렐라는 그들의 아버지 아삽의 지도를 받아 왕의 명령이 있을 때마다 노래로 하나님의 말씀을 선포하였다.
3 그달랴, 스리, 여사야, 하사뱌, 맛디디야는 그들의 아버지 여두둔의 지도를 받아 수금에 맞추어 노래로 하나님의 말씀을 선포하고 여호와께 감사와 찬양을 드렸다.
4-5 북기야, 맛다냐, 웃시엘, 스브엘, 여리 못, 하나냐, 하나니, 엘리아다, 깃달디, 로암디 – 에셀, 요스브가사, 말로디, 호딜, 마하시옷은 왕의 예언자 헤만의 아들들이었다. 하나님께서는 헤만에게 이 열네 아들 외에도 딸 셋을 더 주셨다.
6 이들은 그 아버지의 지도를 받아 성전에서 제금과 비파와 수금을 타는 사람들이었으며 아삽과 여두둔과 헤만은 왕의 지시를 직접 받는 사람들이었다.
7 이상의 사람들과 그들의 친척들은 음악의 전문가로서 여호와를 찬양하는 자들이었는데 이들은 모두 288명이었다.
8 이 사람들은 자기들이 맡을 직무를 결정하기 위해서 스승이나 제자나 나이의 많고 적음을 따지지 않고 각 집안별로 제비를 뽑았다. 그리고 각 집안의 구성원은 조장과 그의 아들들과 친척들을 포함하여 모두 12명씩이었다. 제비가 뽑힌 순위와 그 조장들의 이름은 다음과 같다:
9 첫째로 뽑힌 사람은 아삽 집안의 요셉, 둘째 그달랴,
10 셋째 삭굴,
11 넷째 이스리,
12 다섯째 느다냐,

The Musicians
25 David, together with the commanders of the army, set apart some of the sons of Asaph,(A) Heman(B) and Jeduthun(C) for the ministry of prophesying,(D) accompanied by harps, lyres and cymbals.(E) Here is the list of the men(F) who performed this service:(G)
2 From the sons of Asaph:
Zakkur, Joseph, Nethaniah and Asarelah. The sons of Asaph were under the supervision of Asaph, who prophesied under the king’s supervision.
3 As for Jeduthun, from his sons:(H)
Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei,[a] Hashabiah and Mattithiah, six in all, under the supervision of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied, using the harp(I) in thanking and praising the Lord.
4 As for Heman, from his sons:
Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shubael and Jerimoth; Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti and Romamti-Ezer; Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir and Mahazioth. 5 (All these were sons of Heman the king’s seer. They were given him through the promises of God to exalt him. God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.)
6 All these men were under the supervision of their father(J) for the music of the temple of the Lord, with cymbals, lyres and harps, for the ministry at the house of God.
Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman(K) were under the supervision of the king.(L) 7 Along with their relatives—all of them trained and skilled in music for the Lord—they numbered 288. 8 Young and old alike, teacher as well as student, cast lots(M) for their duties.
