约押攻取拉巴(A)
20 过了年，在列王出征的时候，约押带领军兵，毁坏了亚扪人的地方，然后去围困拉巴。那时大卫住在耶路撒冷。约押攻打拉巴，把城摧毁。 2 大卫从米勒公神像的头上取下金冠，发现金子重三十公斤，又有一块宝石嵌在上面；有人把这冠冕戴在大卫的头上；大卫从城里夺走了大批战利品。 3 又把城里的众民拉出来，要他们用锯子、铁铲和斧子作工；大卫待亚扪各城的人都是这样。后来大卫和众民都回耶路撒冷去了。
三败非利士人(B)
4 这事以后，以色列人在基色与非利士人交战；那时户沙人西比该击杀了巨人的一个儿子细派，非利士人就被制伏了。 5 后来，以色列人与非利士人再次交战，睚珥的儿子伊勒哈难，击杀了迦特人歌利亚的兄弟拉哈米；这人的枪杆好象织布机轴一样。 6 后来，在迦特又有战事；那里有一个身材高大的人，手脚各有六指，共有二十四根指头；他也是巨人的儿子。 7 这人侮辱以色列人，大卫的哥哥示米亚的儿子约拿单就把他击杀了。 8 这些人是迦特巨人的儿子，都死在大卫和他仆人的手下。

20 Y aconteció a la vuelta del año, en el tiempo que suelen los reyes salir a la guerra, que Joab sacó las fuerzas del ejército, y destruyó la tierra de los hijos de Amón, y vino y cercó a Rabá. Mas David estaba en Jerusalén; y Joab batió a Rabá, y la destruyó.
2 Y David tomó la corona de su rey de encima de su cabeza, y la halló de peso de un talento de oro, y había en ella piedras preciosas; y fue puesta sobre la cabeza de David.Y además de esto sacó de la ciudad un muy gran despojo.
3 Sacó también al pueblo que estaba en ella, e hizo señorío sobre ellos haciéndoles trabajar con sierras, y con trillos de hierro, y segures. Lo mismo hizo David a todas las ciudades de los hijos de Amón. Y se volvió David con todo el pueblo a Jerusalén.
4 ¶ Después de esto aconteció que se levantó guerra en Gezer con los filisteos; e hirió Sibecai, el husatita a Sipai, del linaje de los gigantes; y fueron humillados.
5 Y volvió a levantarse guerra con los filisteos; e hirió Elhanán hijo de Jair a Lahmi, hermano de Goliat, el geteo, el asta de cuya lanza era como un rodillo de un telar.
6 Y volvió a haber guerra en Gat, donde hubo un hombre de gran estatura, el cual tenía seis dedos en sus pies y seis dedos en sus manos, en total veinticuatro; y también era hijo del gigante.
7 Denostó él a Israel, mas lo hirió Jonatán, hijo de Simea hermano de David.
8 Estos fueron hijos del gigante en Gat, los cuales cayeron por mano de David y de sus esclavos.

Joab wins the fight for Rabbah
20 In the spring, Joab led the Israelite army out to fight. That was the time of year when kings go out to fight battles. Joab and his army attacked the land of the Ammonites and he won against them. He put his soldiers around Rabbah city so that they could attack it. But David had stayed in Jerusalem. Joab attacked Rabbah and he destroyed its buildings.
2 When David came, he took the crown off the Ammonite king's head. The crown was made of gold. It weighed 34 kilograms. There was a valuable jewel fixed on it. David's men then put the crown on David's head. David also took a lot of valuable things from the city. 3 He brought the people out from the city to do hard work for him. He made them cut wood with saws, and use iron tools and axes. He did the same thing to the people of all the other Ammonite cities.
Then David and all his army returned to Jerusalem.
The army fights the Philistines
4 Some time after that, the Israelites fought a battle against the Philistines at Gezer. In that battle, Sibbecai from Hushah killed Sippai. Sippai was a descendant of Rapha.[a] So Israel won against the Philistines.
5 In another battle against the Philistines, Jair's son Elhanan killed Lahmi. Lahmi was the brother of Goliath who came from Gath. He had a spear that was very thick and heavy, like a big tree.
6 There was another battle at Gath. Another descendant of Rapha fought against the Israelites there. He was a very large man. He had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. 7 He shouted to insult the Israelite soldiers. So Jonathan, the son of David's brother Shimea, killed him.
8 Those Philistines were descendants of Rapha and they lived in Gath. David and his soldiers killed all of them.
