11 那時，以色列眾人聚集到希伯崙去見大衛，說：“看哪，我們原是你的骨肉。 2 從前掃羅作王的時候，是你率領以色列人出入征戰；耶和華你的 神曾對你說過：‘你要牧養我的人民以色列，你要作我的人民以色列的領袖。’” 3 於是以色列的眾長老都來到希伯崙見大衛王，大衛就在希伯崙，在耶和華面前與他們立約，他們就按照耶和華藉著撒母耳所說的話，膏立大衛作王治理以色列。
大衛攻取耶路撒冷(B)
4 大衛和以色列眾人來到耶路撒冷，耶路撒冷就是耶布斯。那時，當地的居民耶布斯人住在那裡。 5 耶布斯的居民對大衛說：“你不能進這裡來。”可是大衛佔領了錫安的堡壘，錫安就是大衛城。 6 大衛說：“誰首先攻打耶布斯人，誰就必作首領和元帥。”洗魯雅的兒子約押首先上去，就作了首領。 7 大衛住在堡壘中，因此人把那堡壘稱為大衛城。 8 大衛又重建四周的城牆，從米羅起，以至城的周圍；那城其餘的部分由約押修建。 9 大衛日漸強盛，因為萬軍之耶和華與他同在。
大衛的勇士(C)
10 以下這些人是大衛眾勇士的首領，就是全力幫助他得國的，又與以色列人照著耶和華對以色列人所說的話一同立他作王。 11 這是大衛眾勇士的數目：哈革摩尼的兒子雅朔班，是軍官（“軍官”或譯：“三十（勇士）”；《七十士譯本》的一些抄本作“三（勇士）”）的首領；他揮舞矛槍，只一次就殺死了三百人。 12 其次是亞合人朵多的兒子以利亞撒，他是三勇士之一； 13 他從前與大衛在巴斯．達閔，非利士人聚集在那裡預備作戰。那裡有塊長滿大麥的田；眾人從非利士人面前逃跑了。 14 他們卻站在那塊田中間，保護了那塊田，擊殺了非利士人；這樣耶和華拯救了以色列人，使他們獲得極大的勝利。
15 三十個首領中有三個，下到亞杜蘭洞附近的磐石那裡去見大衛；非利士人的軍隊在利乏音谷安營。 16 那時大衛在山寨中，非利士人的駐軍在伯利恆。 17 大衛渴望說：“誰能把伯利恆城門旁邊池中的水，拿來給我喝！” 18 這三個勇士就衝過非利士人的軍營，從伯利恆城門旁邊的池裡取水，帶到大衛那裡去，大衛卻不肯喝，把水傾在耶和華面前， 19 說：“在我的 神面前，我絕對不可以這樣作，我怎能喝這些冒生命危險的人的血呢？因為這是他們冒生命危險取回來的。”因此大衛不肯喝這水。這是三個勇士所行的事。
20 約押的兄弟亞比篩，是三個勇士的首領；他揮舞矛槍刺死了三百人，因此在三個勇士中贏得了名聲。 21 他在這三個勇士中，是最尊貴的，所以作他們的首領；只是還不及前三個勇士。
22 耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅，是甲薛族的勇士，曾有偉大的作為；他擊殺了摩押人亞利伊勒的兩個兒子，又在下雪的日子，下到坑中去擊殺了一隻獅子。 23 他又殺死了一個身高兩百多公分的埃及人。這埃及人手裡拿著矛槍，好像織布機軸，比拿雅只拿著棍子下去會他，竟從那埃及人手中把矛槍奪了過來，再用他的矛槍把他殺死。 24 這是耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅所行的事，因此在三個勇士中贏得名聲。 25 他比那三十個勇士更有聲望，只是還不及前三個勇士。大衛立他作侍衛長。

11 Entonces todo Israel se juntó a David en Hebrón, diciendo: He aquí nosotros somos tu hueso y tu carne.
2 Y además de esto ayer y anteayer, aun mientras Saúl reinaba, tú sacabas y metías a Israel. También el SEÑOR tu Dios te ha dicho: Tú apacentarás mi pueblo Israel, y tú serás príncipe sobre Israel mi pueblo.
3 Y vinieron todos los ancianos de Israel al rey en Hebrón, y David hizo con ellos pacto delante del SEÑOR; y ungieron a David por rey sobre Israel, conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR por mano de Samuel.
4 Entonces se fue David con todo Israel a Jerusalén, la cual es Jebus; porque allí el jebuseo habitaba en aquella tierra.
5 Y los moradores de Jebus dijeron a David: No entrarás acá. Mas David tomó la fortaleza de Sion, que es la ciudad de David.
6 Y David dijo: El que primero hiriere al jebuseo, será cabeza y príncipe. Entonces Joab hijo de Sarvia subió el primero, y fue hecho cabeza.
7 Y David habitó en la fortaleza, y por esto la llamaron la ciudad de David.
8 Y edificó la ciudad alrededor, desde Millo alrededor; y Joab edificó el resto de la ciudad.
9 Y David iba adelantando y creciendo, y el SEÑOR de los ejércitos estaba con él.
10 ¶ Estos son los capitanes de los valientes que David tuvo, y los que le fortalecieron en su reino, con todo Israel, para hacerle rey sobre Israel, conforme a la palabra del SEÑOR.
11 Y éste es el número de los valientes que David tuvo: Jasobeam hijo de Hacmoni, príncipe de los treinta, el cual blandió su lanza una vez contra trescientos, a los cuales mató.
12 Tras de éste fue Eleazar hijo de Dodo, ahohíta, el cual era de los tres valientes.
13 Este estuvo con David en Pasdamim, estando allí juntos en batalla los filisteos; y había allí una heredad de tierra llena de cebada, y huyendo el pueblo delante de los filisteos,
14 se pusieron ellos en medio del cultivo, y la defendieron, y vencieron a los filisteos; y los salvó el SEÑOR de gran salvación.
15 Y tres de los treinta principales descendieron a la peña a David, a la cueva de Adulam, estando el campamento de los filisteos en el valle de Refaim.
16 Y David estaba entonces en la fortaleza, y la guarnición de los filisteos estaba en Belén.
17 David deseó entonces, y dijo: ¡Quién me diera a beber de las aguas del pozo de Belén, que está a la puerta!
18 Y aquellos tres irrumpieron por el campamento de los filisteos, y sacaron agua del pozo de Belén, que está a la puerta, y tomaron y la trajeron a David; mas él no la quiso beber, sino que la derramó al SEÑOR, y dijo:
19 Guárdeme mi Dios de hacer esto. ¿Había yo de beber la sangre de estos varones con sus vidas, que con peligro de sus vidas la han traído? Y no la quiso beber. Esto hicieron aquellos tres valientes.
20 Y Abisai, hermano de Joab, era cabeza de tres, el cual blandió su lanza sobre trescientos, a los cuales hirió; y fue entre los tres nombrado.
21 Y fue el más ilustre de los tres en el segundo ternario, y fue príncipe de ellos; mas no llegó a los tres primeros.
22 Benaía hijo de Joiada, hijo de varón de esfuerzo, de grandes hechos, de Cabseel; él venció los dos leones de Moab; también descendió, e hirió un león en mitad de un foso en tiempo de nieve.
23 El mismo venció a un egipcio, hombre de cinco codos de estatura; y el egipcio traía una lanza como un rodillo de un telar; mas él descendió a él con un bastón, y arrebató al egipcio la lanza de la mano, y lo mató con su misma lanza.
24 Esto hizo Benaía hijo de Joiada, y fue nombrado entre los tres valientes.
25 Y fue el más honrado de los treinta, mas no llegó a los tres primeros. A éste puso David en su consejo.
26 Y los valientes de los ejércitos: Asael hermano de Joab, y Elhanan hijo de Dodo de Belén;
27 Samot de Arori, Heles, el pelonita;
28 Ira hijo de Iques, el tecoíta, Abiezer, el anatotita;

Chapter 11
David Is Made King. 1 (A)Then all Israel gathered around David in Hebron, and they said: “Look! We are your bone and your flesh. 2 In days past, when Saul was still the king, it was you who led Israel in all its battles. And now the Lord, your God, has said to you: You shall shepherd my people Israel; you shall be ruler over my people Israel.”(B) 3 Then all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and at Hebron David made a covenant with them in the presence of the Lord; and they anointed David king over Israel, in accordance with the word of the Lord given through Samuel.(C)
Jerusalem Captured. 4 Then David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, that is, Jebus, where the inhabitants of the land were called Jebusites.(D) 5 The inhabitants of Jebus said to David, “You shall not enter here.” David nevertheless captured the fortress of Zion, which is the City of David. 6 David said, “Whoever strikes the Jebusites first shall be made chief and captain.” Joab, the son of Zeruiah, was the first to attack; and so he became chief.(E) 7 David took up residence in the fortress, which therefore was called the City of David. 8 He built up the city on all sides, from the Millo all the way around, while Joab restored the rest of the city.(F) 9 David became ever more powerful, for the Lord of hosts was with him.
David’s Warriors. 10 (G)These were David’s chief warriors who, together with all Israel, supported him in his reign in order to make him king, according to the Lord’s word concerning Israel.
11 Here is the list of David’s warriors:
Ishbaal, the son of Hachamoni, chief of the Three.[a] He brandished his spear over three hundred, whom he had slain in a single encounter.
12 Next to him was Eleazar, the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the Three warriors.(H) 13 He was with David at Pas-dammim, where the Philistines had massed for battle. There was a plot of land full of barley. The people were fleeing before the Philistines,(I) 14 but he took his stand in the middle of the plot, kept it safe, and cut down the Philistines. Thus the Lord brought about a great victory.
15 Three of the Thirty chiefs went down to the rock, to David, who was in the cave of Adullam while the Philistines were encamped in the valley of Rephaim.(J) 16 David was then in the stronghold, and a Philistine garrison was at Bethlehem. 17 David had a strong craving, and said, “If only someone would give me a drink of water from the cistern by the gate of Bethlehem!” 18 Thereupon the Three broke through the encampment of the Philistines, drew water from the cistern by the gate of Bethlehem, and carried it back to David. But David refused to drink it. Instead, he poured it out[b] to the Lord, 19 saying, “God forbid that I should do such a thing! Could I drink the blood of these men who risked their lives? For at the risk of their lives they brought it.” So he refused to drink it. Such deeds as these the Three warriors performed.
20 (K)Abishai, the brother of Joab, was the chief of the Thirty;[c] he brandished his spear over three hundred, whom he had slain. He made a name beside the Three,(L) 21 but was twice as famous as any of the Thirty, becoming their leader. However, he did not attain to the Three.
22 Benaiah, son of Jehoiada, a valiant man of mighty deeds, from Kabzeel, killed the two sons of Ariel of Moab. Also, he went down and killed the lion in the cistern on a snowy day. 23 He likewise slew the Egyptian, a huge man five cubits tall. The Egyptian carried a spear that was like a weaver’s beam, but Benaiah came against him with a staff; he wrested the spear from the Egyptian’s hand, and killed him with that spear. 24 Such deeds as these Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada, performed, and he made a name beside the Three warriors, 25 but was more famous than any of the Thirty. However, he did not attain to the Three. David put him in charge of his bodyguard.(M)
26 Also these warriors: Asahel, the brother of Joab; Elhanan, son of Dodo, from Bethlehem;(N) 27 Shammoth, from En-harod; Helez, from Beth-pelet; 28 Ira, son of Ikkesh, from Tekoa; Abiezer, from Anathoth; 29 Sibbecai, from Husha; Ilai, from Ahoh;(O) 30 Maharai, from Netophah; Heled, son of Baanah, from Netophah;(P) 31 Ithai, son of Ribai, from Gibeah of Benjamin; Benaiah, from Pirathon;(Q) 32 Hurai, from Nahale-gaash; Abiel, from Beth-arabah; 33 Azmaveth, from Bahurim; Eliahba, from Shaalbon; 34 Jashen the Gunite; Jonathan, son of Shagee the Hararite; 35 Ahiam, son of Sachar the Hararite; Elipheleth, son of 36 Ahasbai, from Beth-maacah; Ahijah, from Gilo; 37 Hezro, from Carmel; Naarai, the son of Ezbai; 38 Joel, brother of Nathan, from Rehob, the Gadite; 39 Zelek the Ammonite; Naharai, from Beeroth, the armor-bearer of Joab, son of Zeruiah; 40 Ira, from Jattir; Gareb, from Jattir; 41 Uriah the Hittite; Zabad, son of Ahlai, 42 and, in addition to the Thirty, Adina, son of Shiza, the Reubenite, chief of the tribe of Reuben; 43 Hanan, son of Maacah; Joshaphat the Mithnite; 44 Uzzia, the Ashterathite; Shama and Jeiel, sons of Hotham, from Aroer; 45 Jediael, son of Shimri, and Joha, his brother, the Tizite; 46 Eliel the Mahavite; Jeribai and Joshaviah, sons of Elnaam; Ithmah, from Moab; 47 Eliel, Obed, and Jaasiel the Mezobian.
