扫罗自杀及其众子阵亡(A)
10 非利士人攻打以色列人；以色列人从非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波山上阵亡的人很多。 2 非利士人紧紧地追赶扫罗和他的儿子；非利士人杀了扫罗的儿子约拿单、亚比拿达和麦基舒亚。 3 攻击扫罗的战役非常激烈；弓箭手发现了他，就把他射伤。 4 扫罗对替他拿兵器的人说：“拔出你的刀来，把我刺透，免得这些未受割礼的人来凌辱我。”但替他拿兵器的人不肯这样作，因为他非常害怕；于是扫罗拿出刀来，自己伏在刀上死了。 5 替他拿兵器的人看见扫罗死了，他也伏在刀上死了。 6 这样，扫罗和他的三个儿子，以及他的全家，都一同死了。
7 所有在山谷的以色列人，看见以色列军逃跑，扫罗和他的儿子都死了，他们就弃城逃跑，非利士人就来住在城中。 8 第二天，非利士人来剥那些被杀的人的衣物的时候，发现扫罗和他的儿子都倒毙在基利波山上。 9 他们就剥了他的衣服，拿了他的头和兵器，又派人到非利士地的各处，去向他们的偶像和人民报信。 10 他们把扫罗的兵器放在他们的神庙里，把他的头挂在大衮庙中。 11 基列．雅比人听见非利士人向扫罗所行的事， 12 所有的勇士就动身，把扫罗的尸体和他儿子的尸体收殓起来，带回雅比，把他们的骸骨埋葬在雅比的橡树下，并且禁食七天。

4 तब साऊल अपने कवच वाहक स कहेस, “अपनी तरवार बाहेर हींचा अउर एकर उपयोग मोका मारइ मँ करा। तब उ पचे खतनारहित जब अइहीं तउ न मोका चोट पहोंचइही न ही मोर हँसी उड़इहीं।”
किन्तु साऊल क कवच वाहक ससान रहा। उ साऊल क मारब अस्वीकार किहस। तब साऊल अपनी तरवार क उपयोग खुद क मारइ बरे किहस। उ अपनी तरवार क नोक पइ गिरा। 5 कवचवाहक लखेस कि साऊल मर गवा, तब उ खुद क मार डाएस। उ अपनी तरवार क नोंक पइ गिरा अउर मर गवा। 6 इ तरह साऊल अउर ओकर तीनउँ पूतन मर गएन। साऊल क सारा परिवार एक संग मर गवा।
7 घाटी मँ रहइवाले इस्राएल क सबहिं लोग लखेन कि ओकर आपन फउज भाग गएन। उ पचे लखेन कि साऊल अउर ओकर पूत मर गएन। एह बरे उ पचे अपने नगरन क तजेन अउ पराइ गएन। तब पलिस्ती ओन नगरन मँ आएन जेनका इस्राएलियन तज दिहे रहेन अउर पलिस्ती ओन नगरन मँ रहइ लागेन।
8 अगले दिन, पलिस्ती लोग ल्हासन क बहुमूल्य चिजियन लेइ आएन। उ पचे साऊल क ल्हासन अउर ओकरे पूतन क ल्हासन क गिबोन पर्वत पइ पाएन। 9 पलिस्तियन साऊल क ल्हास स चिजियन उतारेन। उ पचे साऊल क मूँड़ अउर कवच लिहेन। उ पचे आपन पूरे देस मँ अपने लबार देवतन अउ लोगन क सूचना देइ बरे दूत पठएन। 10 पालिस्तियन साऊल क कवच क अपने लबार देवता क मन्दिर मँ धरेन। उ पचे साऊल क मूँड़ि क दागोन क मन्दिर लटकाएन।
11 याबेस गिलाद नगर मँ रहइवाले सब लोग उ हर एक बात सुनेन जउन पलिस्ती लोग साऊल क संग किहे रहेन। 12 याबेस क सबहिं बीर मनई साऊल अउ ओकरे पूतन क ल्हास लेइ गएन। उ पचे ओनका याबेस मँ लइ आएन। ओन बीर मनसेधुअन साऊल अउ ओकरे पूतन क हाड़न क, याबेस मँ एक बिसाल बृच्छ क खाले दफनाएन। तब उ पचे अपना दुःख परगट किहन अउ सात दिन तलक उपवास रखेन।
13 साऊल एह बरे मरा कि उ यहोवा क बरे बिस्सास पात्र नाहीं रहा। साऊल यहोवा क आदेसन क पालन नाहीं किहस। साऊल एक माध्यम क लगे गवा अउर 14 यहोवा क तजिके ओहसे सलाह माँगेस। इहइ कराण अहइ कि यहोवा ओका मार डाएस अउर यिसै क पूत दाऊद क राज्ज दिहस।

扫罗之死

10 Och filistéerna stridde mot Israel; och Israels män flydde för filistéerna och föllo slagna på berget Gilboa.
2 Och filistéerna ansatte ivrigt Saul och hans söner. Och filistéerna dödade Jonatan, Abinadab och Malki-Sua, Sauls söner.
3 När då Saul själv blev häftigt anfallen och bågskyttarna kommo över honom, greps han av förskräckelse för skyttarna.
4 Och Saul sade till sin vapendragare: »Drag ut ditt svärd och genomborra mig därmed, så att icke dessa oomskurna komma och hantera mig skändligt.» Men hans vapendragare ville det icke, ty han fruktade storligen. Då tog Saul själv svärdet och störtade sig därpå.
5 Men när vapendragaren såg att Saul var död, störtade han sig ock på sitt svärd och dog.
6 Så dogo då Saul och hans tre söner; och alla som hörde till hans hus dogo på samma gång.
7 Och när alla israeliterna i dalen förnummo att deras här hade flytt, och att Saul och hans söner voro döda, övergåvo de sina städer och flydde; sedan kommo filistéerna och bosatte sig i dem.
8 Dagen därefter kommo filistéerna för att plundra de slagna och funno då Saul och hans söner, där de lågo fallna på berget Gilboa.
9 Och de plundrade honom och togo med sig hans huvud och hans vapen och sände dem omkring i filistéernas land och läto förkunna det glada budskapet för sina avgudar och för folket.
10 Och de lade hans vapen i sitt gudahus, men hans huvudskål hängde de upp i Dagons tempel.
11 Men när allt folket i Jabes i Gilead hörde allt vad filistéerna hade gjort med Saul,
12 stodo de upp, alla stridbara män, och togo Sauls och hans söners lik och förde dem till Jabes; och de begrovo deras ben under terebinten i Jabes och fastade så i sju dagar.
13 Detta blev Sauls död, därför att han hade begått otrohet mot HERREN, i det att han icke hade hållit HERRENS ord, så ock därför att han hade frågat en ande och sökt svar hos en sådan.
14 Han hade icke sökt svar hos HERREN; därför dödade HERREN honom. Och sedan överflyttade han konungadömet på David, Isais son.

Saul Takes His Life(A)
10 Now the Philistines fought against Israel; the Israelites fled before them, and many fell dead on Mount Gilboa. 2 The Philistines were in hot pursuit of Saul and his sons, and they killed his sons Jonathan, Abinadab and Malki-Shua. 3 The fighting grew fierce around Saul, and when the archers overtook him, they wounded him.
4 Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and abuse me.”
But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it. 5 When the armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died. 6 So Saul and his three sons died, and all his house died together.
7 When all the Israelites in the valley saw that the army had fled and that Saul and his sons had died, they abandoned their towns and fled. And the Philistines came and occupied them.
8 The next day, when the Philistines came to strip the dead, they found Saul and his sons fallen on Mount Gilboa. 9 They stripped him and took his head and his armor, and sent messengers throughout the land of the Philistines to proclaim the news among their idols and their people. 10 They put his armor in the temple of their gods and hung up his head in the temple of Dagon.(B)
11 When all the inhabitants of Jabesh Gilead(C) heard what the Philistines had done to Saul, 12 all their valiant men went and took the bodies of Saul and his sons and brought them to Jabesh. Then they buried their bones under the great tree in Jabesh, and they fasted seven days.
13 Saul died(D) because he was unfaithful(E) to the Lord; he did not keep(F) the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium(G) for guidance, 14 and did not inquire of the Lord. So the Lord put him to death and turned(H) the kingdom(I) over to David son of Jesse.
