Galatians 5:7-26
New King James Version
Love Fulfills the Law
7 You (A)ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? 8 This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. 9 (B)A little leaven leavens the whole lump. 10 I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.
11 And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, (C)why do I still suffer persecution? Then (D)the offense of the cross has ceased. 12 (E)I could wish that those (F)who trouble you would even [a]cut themselves off!
13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only (G)do not use liberty as an (H)opportunity for the flesh, but (I)through love serve one another. 14 For (J)all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: (K)“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!
Walking in the Spirit
16 I say then: (L)Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For (M)the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, (N)so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But (O)if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now (P)the works of the flesh are evident, which are: [b]adultery, [c]fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, [d]murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that (Q)those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But (R)the fruit of the Spirit is (S)love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, (T)goodness, (U)faithfulness, 23 [e]gentleness, self-control. (V)Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s (W)have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 (X)If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 (Y)Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

7 You were (A)running well; who hindered you from obeying the truth? 8 This persuasion did not come from (B)Him who calls you. 9 (C)A little [a]leaven leavens the whole lump of dough. 10 (D)I have confidence [b]in you in the Lord, that you (E)will adopt no other view; but the one who is (F)disturbing you will bear the punishment, whoever he is. 11 But as for me, brothers and sisters, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still (G)persecuted? Then (H)the stumbling block of the cross has been eliminated. 12 I wish that (I)those who are troubling you would even [c](J)emasculate themselves.
13 For you were called to (K)freedom, brothers and sisters; (L)only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but (M)serve one another through love. 14 For (N)the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “(O)You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 But if you (P)bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.
16 But I say, (Q)walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out (R)the desire of the flesh. 17 For (S)the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, (T)in order to keep you from doing whatever you want. 18 But if you are (U)led by the Spirit, (V)you are not under the Law. 19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: (W)sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, 20 idolatry, (X)witchcraft, hostilities, (Y)strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, (Z)selfish ambition, dissensions, (AA)factions, 21 envy, (AB)drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not (AC)inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But (AD)the fruit of the Spirit is (AE)love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, (AF)self-control; against such things (AG)there is no law. 24 Now those who [d]belong to (AH)Christ Jesus (AI)crucified the flesh with its passions and (AJ)desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let’s follow (AK)the Spirit as well. 26 Let’s not become (AL)boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.

7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
