保持你们的自由
5 基督解放了我们，为了让我们能生活在自由里。因此要坚定不移，不要再受律法的羁绊和奴役。 2 听着！我，保罗告诉你们，如果你们通过受割礼重返律法，那么基督对于你们来说就没有任何价值！ 3 我再宣布一遍，凡是允许自己受割礼的人，就必须遵守全部律法。 4 那些企图通过律法得到上帝的认可的人，就使自己与基督疏远了，并自绝于上帝的恩典。 5 但是，凭着信仰，我们迫切地等待着得到上帝的认可，我们在圣灵之中满怀信仰地盼望着。 6 因为在基督耶稣之中，一个人是否受到割礼并不重要，重要的是通过爱表现出来的信仰。
7 你们一直跑的很好，是谁阻止了你们服从真理了呢？ 8 这种劝诱不是来自召唤你们的上帝。 9 “一点发酵粉可以发起一整团面。” [a] 10 我在主内相信你们，除了我传授给你们的，你们不会再接受任何其它观点。但是那个给你们制造麻烦的人，不论他是谁，都会受到惩罚的。
11 兄弟们，如果我仍然在宣传割礼的必要性，为什么我还在受迫害呢？假如我仍然宣传割礼的必要性，那么对十字架的诽谤也该除去了。 12 但愿那些骚扰你们的人不仅受割礼，而且也受到阉割。
13 兄弟们，你们受到了上帝召唤、生活在自由之中，只是不要让你们的自由成为你们放纵情欲的借口，而是要怀着爱心，为彼此服务。 14 因为整部律法都总结在“爱人如爱己”这句话里了。 15 但是，如果你们继续尔虞我诈，你们最好当心，不要同归于尽。
灵与人的本性
16 所以，我告诉你们：让圣灵去指导你们的行为，你们就不会去满足罪恶自我的欲望了。 17 因为我们的罪恶自我与圣灵是敌对的，它们势不两立，使你们不能做你们想做的事情。 18 但是你们若由圣灵来引导，就不会受律法的约束了。
19 属于我们罪恶自我的行为是显而易见的：它们是不道德的性行为，不洁，放荡， 20 偶像崇拜，巫术，仇恨，纷争，嫉妒，愤怒，自私，争吵，成群结党， 21 嫉意，酗酒，淫佚的宴乐和所有类似的事情。对这些事情，我现在要警告你们，就像我以前警告过你们的那样，做这些事情的人将不会承受上帝的天国。 22 然而圣灵的产物却是爱、幸福、和平、耐心、仁慈、美好、信念、 23 温柔和自制。这些事情不会与任何法律相抵触。 24 属于耶稣基督的人，已经把他们的罪恶自我及其激情和欲望一起钉死在十字架上了。 25 既然圣灵是我们的新生的源泉，那么我们就应该让它来引导我们。 26 让我们不要自负，不要互相激怒，不要互相嫉妒。

5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
2 Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3 For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?
8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you.
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.
10 I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.
11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.
12 I would they were even cut off which trouble you.
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
