4 事情的缘由是因为有一些假信徒偷偷混了进来，要窥探我们在基督耶稣里享有的自由，想叫我们做律法的奴隶。 5 但为了叫福音的真理常在你们当中，我们丝毫没有向他们妥协。
6 至于那些德高望重的教会领袖，他们的地位对我来说无关紧要，因为上帝不以貌取人。他们对我所传的并没有增加什么。

4 This matter arose because some false believers(A) had infiltrated our ranks to spy on(B) the freedom(C) we have in Christ Jesus and to make us slaves. 5 We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel(D) might be preserved for you.
6 As for those who were held in high esteem(E)—whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism(F)—they added nothing to my message.(G)

4 And this occurred because of (A)false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our (B)liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, (C)that they might bring us into bondage), 5 to whom we did not yield submission even for an hour, that (D)the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
6 But from those (E)who seemed to be something—whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; (F)God [a]shows personal favoritism to no man—for those who seemed to be something (G)added nothing to me.
