5 以下是亞當後代的記錄。 神創造人的時候，是按著自己的樣式造的； 2 他創造了一男一女。在創造他們的時候， 神賜福給他們，稱他們為人。 3 亞當一百三十歲的時候，生了一個兒子，樣式和形象都和自己相似，就給他起名叫塞特。 4 亞當生塞特以後，還活了八百年，並且生了其他的兒女。 5 亞當共活了九百三十歲，就死了。
6 塞特一百零五歲的時候，生了以挪士。 7 塞特生以挪士以後，還活了八百零七年，並且生了其他的兒女。 8 塞特共活了九百一十二歲，就死了。
9 以挪士九十歲的時候，生了該南。 10 以挪士生該南以後，還活了八百一十五年，並且生了其他的兒女。 11 以挪士共活了九百零五歲，就死了。
12 該南七十歲的時候，生了瑪勒列。 13 該南生瑪勒列以後，還活了八百四十年，並且生了其他的兒女。 14 該南共活了九百一十歲，就死了。
15 瑪勒列六十五歲的時候，生了雅列。 16 瑪勒列生雅列以後，還活了八百三十年，並且生了其他的兒女。 17 瑪勒列共活了八百九十五歲，就死了。
18 雅列一百六十二歲的時候，生了以諾。 19 雅列生以諾以後，還活了八百年，並且生了其他的兒女。 20 雅列共活了九百六十二歲，就死了。
21 以諾六十五歲的時候，生了瑪土撒拉。 22 以諾生瑪土撒拉以後，和 神同行三百年，並且生了其他的兒女。 23 以諾共活了三百六十五歲。 24 以諾和 神同行，所以 神把他取去，他就不在了。
25 瑪土撒拉一百八十七歲的時候，生了拉麥。 26 瑪土撒拉生拉麥以後，還活了七百八十二年，並且生了其他的兒女。 27 瑪土撒拉共活了九百六十九歲，就死了。
28 拉麥一百八十二歲的時候，生了一個兒子， 29 就給他起名叫挪亞，說：“這兒子必使我們從地上的操作和手中的勞苦得著安慰，因為耶和華曾經咒詛這地。” 30 拉麥生挪亞以後，還活了五百九十五年，並且生了其他的兒女。 31 拉麥共活了七百七十七歲，就死了。
32 挪亞五百歲的時候，就生了閃、含和雅弗。

28 拉麦一百八十二岁生了一个儿子， 29 取名叫挪亚[a]，他说：“耶和华咒诅了大地，以致我们艰辛劳苦，这孩子必使我们从艰辛劳苦中得安慰。” 30 拉麦生挪亚之后，又活了五百九十五年，生儿育女， 31 七百七十七岁去世。
32 挪亚五百岁生闪、含和雅弗。

5 These are the family[a] records(A) of the descendants of Adam. On the day that God created man,[b] He made him in the likeness of God; 2 He created them male and female. When they were created, He blessed them and called them man.[c]
3 Adam was 130 years old when he fathered a son in his likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth. 4 Adam lived 800 years after the birth of Seth, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 5 So Adam’s life lasted 930 years; then he died.
6 Seth was 105 years old when he fathered Enosh. 7 Seth lived 807 years after the birth of Enosh, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 8 So Seth’s life lasted 912 years; then he died.
9 Enosh was 90 years old when he fathered Kenan. 10 Enosh lived 815 years after the birth of Kenan, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 11 So Enosh’s life lasted 905 years; then he died.
12 Kenan was 70 years old when he fathered Mahalalel. 13 Kenan lived 840 years after the birth of Mahalalel, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 14 So Kenan’s life lasted 910 years; then he died.
15 Mahalalel was 65 years old when he fathered Jared. 16 Mahalalel lived 830 years after the birth of Jared, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 17 So Mahalalel’s life lasted 895 years; then he died.
18 Jared was 162 years old when he fathered Enoch. 19 Jared lived 800 years after the birth of Enoch, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 20 So Jared’s life lasted 962 years; then he died.
21 Enoch was 65 years old when he fathered Methuselah. 22 And after the birth of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God(B) 300 years and fathered other sons and daughters. 23 So Enoch’s life lasted 365 years. 24 Enoch walked with God; then he was not there because God took him.(C)
25 Methuselah was 187 years old when he fathered Lamech. 26 Methuselah lived 782 years after the birth of Lamech, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 27 So Methuselah’s life lasted 969 years; then he died.
28 Lamech was 182 years old when he fathered a son. 29 And he named him Noah,[d] saying, “This one will bring us relief from the agonizing labor of our hands, caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.”(D) 30 Lamech lived 595 years after Noah’s birth, and he fathered other sons and daughters. 31 So Lamech’s life lasted 777 years; then he died.
32 Noah was 500 years old, and he fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
