From Adam to Noah
5 This is the written account(A) of Adam’s family line.(B)
When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God.(C) 2 He created them(D) male and female(E) and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind”[a] when they were created.
3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image;(F) and he named him Seth.(G) 4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5 Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.(H)
6 When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father[b] of Enosh.(I) 7 After he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8 Altogether, Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.
9 When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan.(J) 10 After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11 Altogether, Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.
12 When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel.(K) 13 After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14 Altogether, Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.
15 When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared.(L) 16 After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17 Altogether, Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.
18 When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch.(M) 19 After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20 Altogether, Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.
21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah.(N) 22 After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God(O) 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23 Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked faithfully with God;(P) then he was no more, because God took him away.(Q)
25 When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech.(R) 26 After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27 Altogether, Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.
28 When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. 29 He named him Noah[c](S) and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.(T)” 30 After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31 Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.
32 After Noah was 500 years old,(U) he became the father of Shem,(V) Ham and Japheth.(W)

5 This is the family history of Adam. When God created human beings, he made them in God’s likeness. 2 He created them male and female. And on that day he blessed them and named them human beings.
3 When Adam was 130 years old, he became the father of another son. He was in the likeness and image of Adam. Adam named him Seth. 4 After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years. During that time he had other sons and daughters. 5 So Adam lived a total of 930 years. Then he died.
6 When Seth was 105 years old, he had a son named Enosh. 7 After Enosh was born, Seth lived 807 years. During that time he had other sons and daughters. 8 So Seth lived a total of 912 years. Then he died.
9 When Enosh was 90 years old, he had a son named Kenan. 10 After Kenan was born, Enosh lived 815 years. During that time he had other sons and daughters. 11 So Enosh lived a total of 905 years. Then he died.
12 When Kenan was 70 years old, he had a son named Mahalalel. 13 After Mahalalel was born, Kenan lived 840 years. During that time he had other sons and daughters. 14 So Kenan lived a total of 910 years. Then he died.
15 When Mahalalel was 65 years old, he had a son named Jared. 16 After Jared was born, Mahalalel lived 830 years. During that time he had other sons and daughters. 17 So Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years. Then he died.
18 When Jared was 162 years old, he had a son named Enoch. 19 After Enoch was born, Jared lived 800 years. During that time he had other sons and daughters. 20 So Jared lived a total of 962 years. Then he died.
21 When Enoch was 65 years old, he had a son named Methuselah. 22 After Methuselah was born, Enoch walked with God 300 years more. During that time he had other sons and daughters. 23 So Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24 Enoch walked with God. One day Enoch could not be found, because God took him.
25 When Methuselah was 187 years old, he had a son named Lamech. 26 After Lamech was born, Methuselah lived 782 years. During that time he had other sons and daughters. 27 So Methuselah lived a total of 969 years. Then he died.
28 When Lamech was 182, he had a son. 29 Lamech named his son Noah.[a] Lamech said, “Noah will comfort us from the pain of our work. The pain is because God has cursed the ground.” 30 After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years. During that time he had other sons and daughters. 31 So Lamech lived a total of 777 years. Then he died.
32 After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth.

15 Quando Maalalel tinha 65 anos, teve um filho chamado Jarede. 16 Depois do nascimento de Jarede, Maalalel viveu mais 830 anos e, durante esse tempo, teve outros filhos e filhas. 17 Maalalel morreu com 895 anos.
18 Aos 162 anos de idade, Jarede teve um filho chamado Enoque. 19 Depois do nascimento de Enoque, Jarede viveu mais 800 anos e, durante esse tempo, teve outros filhos e filhas. 20 Jarede morreu com 962 anos.
21 Quando Enoque tinha 65 anos, teve um filho chamado Matusalém. 22 Depois do nascimento de Matusalém, Enoque viveu mais 300 anos e sempre viveu em comunhão com Deus. Durante esse tempo, teve outros filhos e filhas. 23 Enoque viveu 365 anos. 24 Enoque sempre viveu em comunhão com Deus. Um dia ele desapareceu, porque Deus o levou.
25 Aos 187 anos de idade, Matusalém teve um filho chamado Lameque. 26 Depois do nascimento de Lameque, Matusalém viveu mais 782 anos e, durante esse tempo, teve outros filhos e filhas. 27 Matusalém morreu com 969 anos.
28 Quando Lameque tinha 182 anos, teve um filho. 29 Deu-lhe o nome de Noé[c] e disse:
—Ele nos dará descanso do trabalho duro que nós temos por causa do SENHOR ter amaldiçoado a terra.
30 Depois do nascimento de Noé, Lameque viveu mais 595 anos e, durante esse tempo, teve outros filhos e filhas. 31 Lameque morreu com 777 anos.
32 Noé tinha 500 anos quando teve os seus filhos: Sem, Cam e Jafé.
