雅各的預言
49 雅各把他的兒子們都叫來，對他們說：「你們到我身邊來，我要把你們將來的遭遇告訴你們。
2 「雅各的兒子們啊，
你們都來聽，
聽你們父親以色列的話。
3 呂便啊，你是我的長子，
是我年輕力壯時生的，
比眾弟兄更有尊榮和力量。
4 可是，你必不再居首位，
因為你放縱情慾，
如沸騰不止的水，
你上了你父親的床，
玷污了我的榻。
5 「西緬和利未串通一氣，
依仗刀劍，殘暴不仁。
6 我的靈啊，不要與他們同謀。
我的心啊，不要與他們聯合。
他們洩憤殺人，
隨意砍斷牛腿的筋。
7 他們狂暴兇殘，該受咒詛！
我要使他們分散在雅各的子孫中，
散居在以色列各地。
8 「猶大啊，你的兄弟們必讚美你，
你必制伏你的仇敵，
你父親的兒子必向你下拜。
9 我兒猶大是頭小獅子，
他獵食回來，躺臥如雄獅，
蹲伏如母獅，誰敢驚擾他？
10 王權必不離猶大，
御杖必伴他左右，
直到那位執掌王權的來到，
萬民都必歸順他。
11 「他把小驢拴在葡萄樹旁，
把驢駒拴在上好的葡萄樹旁；
他在葡萄酒中洗衣服，
在葡萄汁中洗外袍。
12 他的眼睛比酒烏潤，
牙齒比奶潔白。
13 「西布倫必安居在海濱，
成為泊船的港口，
他的疆界必伸展到西頓。
14 「以薩迦是頭壯驢，
臥在羊圈中。
15 他見那地方好作安身之處，
地土肥美，就垂下肩頭，
做了奴隸。
16 「但必治理他的人民，
作以色列的一個支派。
17 他必成為路邊的蛇，
道旁的毒蛇，
咬傷馬蹄，使騎馬的人墜落。
18 「耶和華啊，
我切切等候你的拯救。
19 「迦得必被強盜劫掠，
他卻要反敗為勝追趕他們。
20 「亞設必有豐美的出產和供君王享用的美味。
21 「拿弗他利是頭自由的母鹿，
養育美麗的小鹿[a]。
22 「約瑟是多結果子的枝條，
長在水泉旁，
他的枝條探出牆外。
23 弓箭手兇猛地攻擊他，
惡狠狠地射他。
24 但他手持強弓，
雙臂穩健有力，
因為雅各的大能者——以色列的牧者和磐石幫助他。
25 你父親的上帝必幫助你，
全能者必賜你天上的恩澤、
地上的百福，
使你子孫興旺、牛羊滿圈。
26 你父親的祝福高過亙古永存的峰巒，
多如綿延無盡的群山，
願這一切的祝福都臨到約瑟頭上，
臨到這超越眾弟兄的人身上。
27 「便雅憫是匹貪婪的狼，
早晨吞吃獵物，
晚上瓜分戰利品。」
28 以上是以色列的十二支派，他們的父親按著他們不同的福分給他們祝福。 29 雅各又囑咐他們說：「我要離世了，你們要把我葬在赫人以弗崙田間的洞裡，讓我與祖先在一起。 30 那洞穴在迦南幔利附近的麥比拉田間，是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買來作墳地的。 31 亞伯拉罕和他的妻子撒拉，以撒和他的妻子利百加都葬在那裡，我把利亞也葬在了那裡。 32 那塊田和田間的洞穴是向赫人買的。」 33 雅各囑咐完眾子，在床上躺下，嚥了氣，去他祖先那裡了。

Jakob profeterar över sina söner
(5 Mos 33:1-29)
49 Jakob kallade sedan samman alla sina söner och sa: ”Ställ er här hos mig, så ska jag berätta för er vad som kommer att hända med er under kommande dagar.
2 Kom hit och lyssna till mig, Jakobs söner,
lyssna till Israel, er far!
3 Ruben, du min förstfödde, min styrka,
den första frukten av min kraft.
Du är den högste i ära, den störste i kraft.
4 Men du är som svallande vatten,
därför ska du inte längre räknas som den förste,
för du gick till din fars säng,
du vanhelgade min bädd.
5 Simon och Levi är bröder,
våldet är deras svärd.[a]
6 Jag vill inte delta i deras råd,
inte vara i deras sällskap.
I vrede har de dödat män,
och oxar har de stympat i sitt övermod.
7 Förbannad vare deras vrede, för den är våldsam
och deras grymhet som är så enorm.
Därför ska jag skingra dem i Jakob,
sprida ut dem till hela Israel.
8 Juda, dina bröder kommer att prisa dig.
Du kommer att förgöra dina fiender.
Din fars söner ska böja sig inför dig.
9 Juda är ett ungt lejon,
som reser sig från sitt byte.
Han lägger sig ned som ett lejon som slår sig till ro.
Vem vågar oroa honom?
10 Spiran ska inte vika från Juda,
och inte härskarstaven från hans hand,
förrän den kommer som den tillhör.[b]
Alla folk ska lyda honom.
11 Han binder sin åsna vid en vinstock,
ja, åsnefölet vid en utvald gren.
Han tvättar sina kläder i vin
och sin mantel i druvornas blod.
12 Hans ögon är mörkare än vin
och hans tänder är vitare än mjölk.
13 Sebulon ska bo vid havets strand
och bli en hamn för skeppen,
med sina gränser utsträckta till Sidon.
14 Isaskar är en stark åsna,
som vilar bland fållorna.[c]
15 När han ser hur skön viloplatsen är
och hur gott landet är,
böjer han sig ner
och går in under bördan av tvångsarbete.
16 Dan[d] ska ge sitt folk rättvisa,
som en av stammarna i Israel.
17 Han ska vara som en orm på vägen,
en huggorm på stigen,
som stinger hästen i hälen,
så att dess ryttare faller av baklänges.
18 Jag väntar på räddning från dig, Herre!
19 Ett band av rövare ska överfalla Gad[e],
men han ska falla dem i ryggen.
20 Asher ska laga till utsökta maträtter
som passar en konungs bord.
21 Naftali är som en hind, som man släppt lös
och som föder välskapta kalvar[f].
22 Josef är ett ungt fruktträd,
ett ungt fruktträd vid källan.
Hans grenar når över muren.
23 Han ansätts bittert av skyttarna,
av bågskyttar som går till anfall,
24 men han håller sin båge stadigt med fast arm,
för Jakobs Mäktige, Herden, Israels Klippa, stöder honom.
25 Din fars Gud ska hjälpa dig,
den Väldige ska välsigna dig
med himlens välsignelser ovanifrån
och med djupets välsignelser underifrån,
med bröstets och livmoderns välsignelser.
26 Din fars välsignelser sträcker sig högre
än de uråldriga bergen,[g]
än de eviga höjdernas härlighet.
Detta ska vara välsignelserna över Josef,
över hjässan på honom som är fursten bland bröderna.
27 Benjamin är en hungrig varg.
Han uppslukar sitt rov på morgonen,
och på kvällen delar han bytet.”
28 Detta är alla Israels tolv stammar, och detta är vad deras far sa till dem när han gav dem var och en sin egen välsignelse.
29 Sedan befallde han dem: ”Jag ska snart samlas till mitt folk, och då ska ni begrava mig hos mina förfäder i Kanaans land, i grottan på hettiten Efrons åker, 30 grottan på åkern i Makpela vid Mamre i Kanaan, den åker som Abraham köpte av hettiten Efron som begravningsplats. 31 Där är Abraham och hans hustru Sara begravda. Där ligger också Isak och hans hustru Rebecka, och där begravde jag Lea. 32 Det är den åker och grotta som köptes från hettiterna.”
33 När Jakob hade gett dessa befallningar till sina söner, drog han upp sina fötter i sängen, drog sitt sista andedrag, dog och förenades så med sina fäder.

3 »Tú, Rubén, eres mi hijo mayor,
mi fuerza y primer fruto de mi vigor,
el primero en honor y en poder.
4 Pero ya no serás el primero,
porque eres como un torrente incontenible:
pues deshonraste mi cama
al acostarte con mi concubina.
5 »Simeón y Leví son hermanos;
sus armas son instrumentos de violencia.
6 ¡Jamás quiero estar presente
en el lugar de sus reuniones!
Pues cuando estaban enojados mataron gentes,
y por puro capricho
les rompieron las patas a los toros.
7 ¡Maldito, sí, maldito sea
su enojo tan salvaje!
¡Yo los dispersaré por completo
en todo el pueblo de Israel!
8 »Judá, tus hermanos te alabarán.
Tomarás por el cuello a tus enemigos,
y tus propios hermanos te harán reverencias.
9 ¡Tú, Judá, hijo mío!
Eres como un cachorro de león
cuando deja de devorar a su víctima:
se agacha, se echa en el suelo,
como si fuera un león grande.
¿Y quién se atreverá a molestarlo?
10 Nadie le quitará el poder a Judá
ni el cetro que tiene en las manos,
hasta que venga el dueño del cetro,
a quien los pueblos obedecerán.
11 El que amarra su burrito a las viñas,
el que lava toda su ropa con vino,
¡con el jugo de las uvas!
12 Sus ojos son más oscuros que el vino;
sus dientes, más blancos que la leche.
13 »Zabulón vivirá a la orilla del mar,
en donde habrá puertos para barcos.
Sus fronteras llegarán hasta Sidón.
14 »Isacar es un animal de carga
que descansa en sus establos.
15 Cuando vio que el país era bueno
y agradable para descansar,
dobló su espalda para llevar carga,
y sin protestar se hizo esclavo.
16 »Dan gobernará a su propia gente
como una de las tribus de Israel.
17 Dan será igual a una víbora
que está junto al camino,
que muerde los talones del caballo
y hace caer al jinete.
18 »¡Oh, Señor, espero que me salves!
19 »A Gad lo atacará un ejército,
pero después él lo perseguirá.
20 »Aser tendrá abundancia de pan;
dará comidas dignas de reyes.
21 »Neftalí es como una gacela que anda libre
y que tiene hermosas crías.
22 »José es como una planta junto al agua,
que produce mucho fruto
y sus ramas trepan sobre el muro.
23 Los arqueros lo odian, le tiran flechas
y siempre lo están molestando;
24 pero José tiene brazos fuertes
y mantiene firme su arco;
¡gracias al Dios poderoso de Jacob!,
¡gracias al nombre del Pastor, el protector de Israel!,
25 ¡gracias al Dios de tu padre, que te ayudará;
al Dios todopoderoso, que te bendecirá!
¡Con bendiciones del alto cielo!
¡Con las bendiciones del mar profundo!
¡Con bendiciones de los pechos y del vientre!
26 Tu padre te bendijo más
de lo que mis padres me bendijeron.
Hasta el fin de los montes eternos,
estas bendiciones estarán
sobre la cabeza de José,
que fue escogido entre sus hermanos.
27 »Benjamín es un lobo feroz,
que en la mañana se come a su víctima
y en la tarde reparte las sobras.»
28 Éstas son las doce tribus de Israel, y esto es lo que su padre dijo a sus hijos al darle a cada uno su bendición.
Muerte de Jacob
29 Un día, Jacob dio esta orden a sus hijos: «Ya me falta poco para morir. Entiérrenme junto a mis antepasados en la cueva que está en el terreno de Efrón el hitita, 30 allá en la tierra de Canaán; es decir, la cueva que está en Macpelá, frente a Mamré, la que Abraham compró junto con el mismo terreno de Efrón, para que fuera el sepulcro de la familia. 31 Allí enterraron a Abraham y a su esposa Sara, a Isaac y a su esposa Rebeca, y allí también enterré a Lía. 32 El terreno y la cueva que allí está fueron comprados a los hititas.»
33 Cuando Jacob terminó de dar estas instrucciones a sus hijos, volvió a acostarse y murió.

49 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
2 Gather yourselves together, and hear, ye sons of Jacob; and hearken unto Israel your father.
3 Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power:
4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father's bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
5 Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.
6 O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.
7 Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
8 Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.
9 Judah is a lion's whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.
11 Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass's colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:
12 His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk.
13 Zebulun shall dwell at the haven of the sea; and he shall be for an haven of ships; and his border shall be unto Zidon.
14 Issachar is a strong ass couching down between two burdens:
15 And he saw that rest was good, and the land that it was pleasant; and bowed his shoulder to bear, and became a servant unto tribute.
16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
18 I have waited for thy salvation, O Lord.
19 Gad, a troop shall overcome him: but he shall overcome at the last.
20 Out of Asher his bread shall be fat, and he shall yield royal dainties.
21 Naphtali is a hind let loose: he giveth goodly words.
22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:
23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:)
25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the Almighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb:
26 The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
27 Benjamin shall ravin as a wolf: in the morning he shall devour the prey, and at night he shall divide the spoil.
28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
29 And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
30 In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.
31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.
32 The purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth.
33 And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ghost, and was gathered unto his people.
