⁸Now ^(A)these were the names of the children of Israel, Jacob and his sons, who went to Egypt: ^(B)Reuben was Jacob’s firstborn. ⁹The ^(C)sons of Reuben were Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi. ¹⁰^(D)The sons of Simeon were ^[a]Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, ^[b]Jachin, ^[c]Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman.
