Áp-ra-ham Và A-bi-mê-léc
20 Từ đó, Áp-ra-ham tiến xuống phía nam, đến vùng Nê-ghép và cư ngụ giữa Ka-đe và Su-rơ. 2 Ông ở tại Ghê-ra một thời gian, ông nói với người ta về Sa-ra, vợ ông: “Nàng là em gái tôi.” nên A-bi-mê-léc vua xứ Ghê-ra cho người đến đón Sa-ra.
3 Nhưng đêm ấy, Đức Chúa Trời đến báo mộng cho A-bi-mê-léc: “Ngươi phải chết vì người đàn bà ngươi lấy đã có chồng!”
4 Vì A-bi-mê-léc chưa đến gần nàng nên ông nói: “Không lẽ CHÚA tiêu diệt một nước vô tội? 5 Áp-ra-ham đã nói ‘Nàng là em gái tôi’. Nàng cũng xác nhận: ‘Áp-ra-ham là anh tôi.’ Con làm điều này với lòng ngay thẳng và với bàn tay thanh sạch.”
6 Trong giấc mộng, Đức Chúa Trời đáp: “Phải, Ta biết ngươi làm với lòng ngay thẳng nên Ta ngăn ngươi phạm tội với Ta và không cho ngươi động đến nàng. 7 Bây giờ hãy trả vợ người lại, người là một tiên tri, người sẽ cầu nguyện cho ngươi và ngươi sẽ được sống. Nếu ngươi không trả nàng lại thì chắc chắn ngươi và mọi kẻ thuộc về ngươi sẽ chết!”
8 A-bi-mê-léc dậy sớm, triệu tập tất cả quần thần và thuật cho họ nghe mọi việc, ai nấy đều khiếp sợ. 9 A-bi-mê-léc mời Áp-ra-ham đến, và nói: “Ngươi làm gì cho chúng ta vậy? Ta đã làm gì xấu đối với ngươi đến nỗi ngươi làm cho ta và nước ta mắc tội lớn như vậy?” 10 A-bi-mê-léc nói với Áp-ra-ham: “Ngươi đã làm cho ta điều mà ngươi không nên làm. Lý do nào khiến ngươi làm như thế?”
11 Áp-ra-ham đáp: “Tôi tưởng nơi này chắc không có người kính sợ Chúa, e vì cớ vợ tôi mà có người sẽ giết tôi đi. 12 Thật ra, nàng cũng là em tôi, một cha khác mẹ, nhưng tôi cưới nàng làm vợ. 13 Khi Chúa làm tôi đi lưu lạc xa nhà cha tôi, tôi bảo nàng: ‘Đây là cách nàng có thể bày tỏ tình yêu đối với ta, ấy là đi đến đâu nàng cũng hãy nói ta là anh của nàng.’ ”
14 A-bi-mê-léc đem tặng cho Áp-ra-ham nhiều chiên bò, tôi trai tớ gái và giao trả Sa-ra lại cho ông. 15 Vua bảo: “Đất ta ở trước mặt ngươi, nơi nào ngươi thích thì cứ định cư ở đó.”
16 Rồi vua quay lại Sa-ra: “Đây, ta trả cho anh ngươi một ngàn nén bạc để bồi thường danh dự ngươi trước mặt mọi người ở với ngươi, danh dự ngươi được hoàn toàn phục hồi trước mặt mọi người.”
17 Áp-ra-ham cầu nguyện với Đức Chúa Trời, Ngài chữa lành cho A-bi-mê-léc, vợ vua, và các đầy tớ gái để họ có thể sinh sản được, 18 vì CHÚA đã đóng dạ con của toàn nhà A-bi-mê-léc khi vua bắt Sa-ra, vợ của Áp-ra-ham.

亚伯拉罕与亚比米勒
20 亚伯拉罕从幔利迁往南地，住在加低斯和书珥之间。在基拉耳寄居期间， 2 他称妻子撒拉是自己的妹妹。基拉耳王亚比米勒派人带走了撒拉。
3 晚上，上帝在梦中对亚比米勒说：“你的死期到了，因为你带来的那个女人是别人的妻子。” 4 亚比米勒还没有亲近撒拉，因此他说：“主啊，难道你要毁灭一个无辜的国家吗？ 5 那人亲口对我说这女人是他妹妹，她也说那人是她哥哥。我问心无愧，没有做错。” 6 上帝在梦中对他说：“我知道你问心无愧，所以我才阻止你，不让你亲近她，免得你得罪我。 7 现在你要把那人的妻子还给他，他是个先知，他会为你祷告，使你活命。要知道，如果你不这样做，你和你的人民都必死。”
8 亚比米勒清早起来召来他的臣仆，把这件事情告诉他们，他们听了都十分害怕。 9 亚比米勒召见亚伯拉罕，对他说：“你为什么要害我们？我什么地方得罪了你？你竟使我和我的人民陷入大罪！你不该这样做。” 10 又说：“你为什么这样做？” 11 亚伯拉罕回答说：“因为我想这里的人不敬畏上帝，他们必为了夺我妻子而杀我。 12 况且，她真是我的妹妹，与我同父异母，后来做了我的妻子。 13 上帝吩咐我离开家乡到外面漂泊的时候，我对她说，‘无论我们到哪里，你都要说我是你哥哥，这就是你对我的恩情。’”
14 于是，亚比米勒带来牛、羊和男女仆婢送给亚伯拉罕，并把他妻子撒拉还给他， 15 又对他说：“我的国土就在你面前，你想住在哪里都可以。” 16 亚比米勒对撒拉说：“我给你哥哥十一公斤银子，在你家人面前证明你是清白的，你没有做错什么。”
17 亚伯拉罕祈求上帝，上帝就治好了亚比米勒，也使他妻子和众婢女恢复了生育能力。 18 原来耶和华因为亚伯拉罕的妻子撒拉这件事，使亚比米勒宫中所有的妇女都不能生育。

20 And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.
2 And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.
3 But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife.
4 But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?
5 Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.
6 And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
7 Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
8 Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.
9 Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.
10 And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?
11 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake.
12 And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father's house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.
14 And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.
15 And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.
16 And unto Sarah he said, Behold, I have given thy brother a thousand pieces of silver: behold, he is to thee a covering of the eyes, unto all that are with thee, and with all other: thus she was reproved.
17 So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
18 For the Lord had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham's wife.
