8 然後，他們又啟程前往伯特利東面的山區，在那裡搭起帳篷。他們的西面是伯特利，東面是艾。亞伯蘭又在那裡築了一座壇，求告耶和華。 9 之後，亞伯蘭繼續前往南地。

8 From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel(A) and pitched his tent,(B) with Bethel on the west and Ai(C) on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the Lord.(D)
9 Then Abram set out and continued toward the Negev.(E)

10 Now there was a famine in the land,(G) and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe.(H)

8 And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the Lord, and called upon the name of the Lord.
9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.
10 And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.
