26 “你们不可为自己做偶像，不可为自己立雕像或神柱，也不可在你们的境内安置石像，向它跪拜；因为我是耶和华你们的 神。 2 你们要遵守我的安息日；敬畏我的圣所；我是耶和华。 3 你们遵行我的律例，谨守我的诫命，遵照奉行， 4 我就按时给你们降下雨露，使地生出土产，田野的树木也结果实。 5 你们打禾，必打到摘葡萄的时候，摘葡萄必摘到撒种的时候；你们吃食物，吃得饱足，在你们的境内安然居住。 6 我必使你们境内太平；你们睡觉，没有人惊吓你们；我使恶兽在境内绝迹；刀剑也不经过你们的地。 7 你们必追赶仇敌，他们必在你们面前倒在刀下。 8 你们五个人必追赶一百人，一百人必追赶一万人；你们的仇敌必在你们面前倒在刀下。 9 我眷顾你们，使你们繁衍增多，也必坚立我与你们所立的约。 10 你们吃久藏的旧粮，要挪出旧粮，腾空给新粮。 11 我必在你们中间安置我的居所，我的心也不厌弃你们。 12 我要在你们中间行走；我要作你们的 神，你们要作我的子民。 13 我是耶和华你们的 神，曾经把你们从埃及地领出来，使你们不再作他们的奴仆；我折断了你们所负的轭，使你们挺身昂首地行走。

14 “但如果你们不听从我，不遵行这一切诫命； 15 如果你们弃绝我的律例，你们的心厌弃我的典章，不遵行我的一切诫命，违背我的约， 16 我就要这样待你们：我必命惊慌临到你们，痨病热病使你们眼目昏花，心灵憔悴；你们必徒然撒种，因为你们的仇敌必吃尽你们的出产。 17 我向你们变脸，你们就败在仇敌面前；恨恶你们的要管辖你们；虽然没有人追赶，你们仍然逃跑。 18 经过这些以后，如果你们还不听从我，我就要因你们的罪加重七倍管教你们。 19 我必粉碎你们夸耀的力量；我要使你们的天像铁，你们的地像铜； 20 你们的气力徒然用尽；你们的地不出产，境内的树也不结果实。
21 “如果你们行事为人与我的心意相违，不肯听从我，我就要按着你们的罪，使灾祸加重七倍地临到你们。 22 打发野地的走兽到你们中间，夺去你们的儿女，残害你们的牲畜，减少你们的人口，使你们的道路荒凉。
23 “但如果你们经过这些事仍然不归向我，行事仍与我的心意相违， 24 我也要与你们作对，按着你们的罪，再加重七倍击打你们； 25 使刀剑临到你们，报复背约的仇；聚集你们到城里，好使我打发瘟疫在你们中间，把你们交在仇敌的手里。 26 我断绝你们的粮食来源（“我断绝你们的粮食来源”直译是“我要折断你们粮食的杖”）以后，十个女人要共用一个炉子给你们烤饼，她们配给定量的饼给你们；你们要吃，却吃不饱。
27 “如果你们经过这事，还是不听从我，行事仍与我的心意相违， 28 我就必发烈怒，与你们作对；我要按着你们的罪，再加重七倍管教你们。 29 你们要吃自己儿子的肉，女儿的肉也要吃。 30 我必毁坏你们的邱坛，砍倒你们的香坛，把你们的尸体扔在你们仆倒的偶像上面；我的心必厌弃你们。 31 我必使你们的城市变为荒场，使你们的圣所荒凉；我也不闻你们馨香的祭。 32 我要使地荒凉，连住在那里的仇敌也惊奇。 33 我要把你们分散在万国中，我又拔出刀来追赶你们；你们的地成为荒凉，你们的城市变成荒场。
34 “当那地荒凉，你们又住在仇敌之地的时候，地就享受安息；那地要休歇，享受安息。 35 因为你们居住在那里的时候，地不能在你们的安息年中享受安息，唯有在荒凉的日子，才可享安息。 36 至于你们剩下的人，我必使他们在仇敌之地胆战心惊；风吹落叶也会吓跑他们；他们必逃跑，好象逃避刀剑一样；虽然无人追赶，他们却跌倒。 37 虽然无人追赶，他们却像面临刀剑，彼此撞跌；你们在仇敌面前，不能站立得住。 38 你们要在万国中灭亡；仇敌之地必吞灭你们。 39 你们剩下的人，必因自己的罪孽在仇敌之地消灭，也因犯了祖先的罪孽日渐衰弱。
承认罪孽始蒙垂顾
40 “那时他们就会承认自己的罪孽和他们祖先的罪孽，就是他们对我不忠的过犯，又承认因为行事与我的心意相违， 41 以致我也与他们作对，把他们带到他们的仇敌之地。如果他们未受割礼的心这样谦卑下来，情愿接受他们罪孽的刑罚， 42 我就记念我与雅各所立的约，记念我与以撒所立的约，与亚伯拉罕所立的约；我也记念这地。 43 他们会离开这地，地在荒凉无人的时候，就可以享受安息，同时他们要接受他们罪孽的刑罚，因为他们弃绝了我的典章，他们的心厌弃了我的律例。 44 虽然这样，他们住在仇敌之地的时候，我还是不弃绝他们，也不厌弃他们，不把他们灭绝，我不会违背我与他们所立的约；因为我是耶和华他们的 神。 45 因为他们的缘故，我要记念我与他们祖先所立的约；他们的祖先是我在列国眼前，从埃及地领出来的，为要作他们的 神；我是耶和华。”

26 »No se hagan ídolos ni imágenes; no levanten en su país piedras sagradas ni piedras grabadas; no se inclinen ante ellas, porque yo soy el Señor su Dios. 2 Respeten mis sábados; tengan reverencia por mi santuario: yo soy el Señor.
3 »Si siguen mis leyes, y cumplen mis mandamientos y los practican, 4 yo les enviaré la lluvia a su tiempo, y la tierra y los árboles del campo darán su fruto; 5 tendrán trigo hasta la cosecha de las uvas, y uvas hasta el tiempo de la siembra; comerán pan hasta quedar satisfechos, y gozarán de tranquilidad en el país. 6 Les daré bienestar en el país, y dormirán sin sobresaltos, pues yo libraré al país de animales feroces y de guerras. 7 Ustedes harán huir a sus enemigos, y ellos caerán a filo de espada ante ustedes; 8 cinco de ustedes harán huir a cien, y cien de ustedes harán huir a diez mil; sus enemigos caerán ante ustedes a filo de espada. 9 Los miraré a ustedes con buenos ojos, y los haré crecer en número, y mantendré con ustedes mi alianza. 10 Comerán del trigo almacenado en años anteriores, y hasta tendrán que desalojarlo para almacenar el trigo nuevo.
11 »Yo viviré entre ustedes, y no los rechazaré; 12 constantemente andaré entre ustedes, y seré su Dios, y ustedes serán mi pueblo. 13 Yo soy el Señor su Dios, que los sacó de Egipto para que no siguieran siendo esclavos de ellos; yo rompí el yugo que pesaba sobre ustedes, y los hice andar con la frente en alto.

14 »Pero si ustedes no me obedecen ni ponen en práctica todos estos mandamientos, 15 sino que rechazan y menosprecian mis leyes y decretos y no cumplen con ninguno de mis mandamientos, faltando así a mi alianza, 16 yo también haré lo siguiente con ustedes: les enviaré mi terror, epidemia mortal, fiebre, enfermedades de los ojos y decaimiento del cuerpo; de nada les servirá sembrar, porque sus enemigos se comerán la cosecha. 17 Yo me pondré en contra de ustedes, y serán derrotados por sus enemigos; serán dominados por aquellos que los odian, y tendrán que huir aunque nadie los persiga.
18 »Si a pesar de esto no me obedecen, los volveré a castigar siete veces por sus pecados. 19 Haré pedazos su necio orgullo; haré que el cielo les niegue su lluvia y la tierra sus frutos. 20 En vano gastarán sus fuerzas, porque la tierra no les producirá nada, ni los árboles del campo les darán frutos.
21 »Si siguen oponiéndose a mí y negándose a obedecerme, yo volveré a castigarlos siete veces más, conforme a sus pecados. 22 Lanzaré sobre ustedes bestias salvajes que los dejarán sin hijos, que despedazarán sus ganados y que reducirán el número de ustedes hasta que no haya quien transite por sus caminos.
23 »Si a pesar de todo esto no se corrigen, sino que siguen oponiéndose a mí, 24 yo también me opondré a ustedes y los castigaré aún siete veces más por sus pecados. 25 Haré venir sobre ustedes una espada que vengue la alianza; ustedes correrán a refugiarse en sus ciudades, pero yo les enviaré enfermedades, y ustedes caerán en poder del enemigo.
26 »Cuando yo destruya su provisión de alimentos, diez mujeres cocerán en un solo horno el pan de ustedes, y lo racionarán tanto que ustedes comerán y no quedarán satisfechos.
27 »Si a pesar de esto no me obedecen, sino que siguen oponiéndose a mí, 28 yo también me opondré a ustedes, y con enojo los castigaré aún otras siete veces más por sus pecados. 29 Entonces se comerán ustedes a sus propios hijos e hijas. 30 Yo destruiré sus santuarios paganos y partiré en dos sus altares de incienso; amontonaré los cuerpos sin vida de ustedes sobre los cuerpos sin vida de sus ídolos, y les mostraré mi desprecio; 31 dejaré en ruinas sus ciudades y destruidos sus santuarios, y no me deleitaré más en el aroma de sus perfumes.
32 »Destruiré el país, y los enemigos de ustedes que vengan a vivir en él se quedarán asombrados. 33 A ustedes los esparciré entre las naciones, y con la espada desnuda los perseguiré; su país se convertirá en un desierto y sus ciudades en espantosas ruinas. 34 Entonces la tierra disfrutará de tranquilidad todo el tiempo que permanezca desolada y que ustedes estén en el país de sus enemigos; así descansará y se desquitará de lo que antes no descansó. 35 Todo el tiempo que permanezca desolada, la tierra disfrutará de los días de reposo que no tuvo mientras ustedes habitaron en ella.
36 »A aquellos de ustedes que queden con vida en terreno enemigo, les haré sentir tanto miedo que huirán con el simple ruido de una hoja al caer; huirán como si los persiguieran con una espada, y caerán sin que nadie los persiga; 37 tropezarán unos contra otros como si huyeran de la guerra, aunque nadie los persiga; ¡ninguno de ustedes podrá hacer frente a sus enemigos! 38 Serán destruidos entre las naciones, y el país de sus enemigos acabará con ustedes; 39 y los que queden con vida en terreno enemigo, morirán por culpa de su maldad; ¡morirán junto con sus padres, por la maldad de ellos!
40 »Aunque ustedes reconozcan su maldad y la maldad de sus padres, lo mismo que su infidelidad y su oposición a mí, 41 yo también me opondré a ustedes y los llevaré al país de sus enemigos; allí su mente pagana quedará humillada, y pagarán por su pecado. 42 Entonces yo me acordaré de la alianza que hice con Jacob, con Isaac y con Abraham, y también me acordaré de la tierra, 43 la cual quedará libre de ustedes y disfrutará de sus días de reposo mientras ustedes no la habiten; y pagarán ustedes por su maldad, porque despreciaron mis decretos y rechazaron mis leyes.
44 »A pesar de esto, y aunque ustedes estén en un país enemigo, no los despreciaré ni los rechazaré; no los destruiré ni faltaré a la alianza que hice con sus antepasados, porque yo soy el Señor su Dios. 45 Por el contrario, me acordaré de la alianza que hice con ellos cuando los saqué de Egipto en presencia de las naciones para ser su Dios. Yo soy el Señor.»
46 Éstas son las leyes, decretos y enseñanzas que por medio de Moisés estableció el Señor en el monte Sinaí, entre él y los israelitas.

Rewards for Obedience
26 “You shall make for yourselves no idols and erect no graven image or pillar, and you shall not set up a figured stone in your land, to bow down to them; for I am the Lord your God. 2 You shall keep my sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord.
3 “If you walk in my statutes and observe my commandments and do them, 4 then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 And your threshing shall last to the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last to the time for sowing; and you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land securely. 6 And I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; and I will remove evil beasts from the land, and the sword shall not go through your land. 7 And you shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. 8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. 9 And I will have regard for you and make you fruitful and multiply you, and will confirm my covenant with you. 10 And you shall eat old store long kept, and you shall clear out the old to make way for the new. 11 And I will make my abode among you, and my soul shall not abhor you. 12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you shall be my people. 13 I am the Lord your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; and I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.
Penalties for Disobedience
14 “But if you will not hearken to me, and will not do all these commandments, 15 if you spurn my statutes, and if your soul abhors my ordinances, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant, 16 I will do this to you: I will appoint over you sudden terror, consumption and fever that waste the eyes and cause life to pine away. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it; 17 I will set my face against you, and you shall be smitten before your enemies; those who hate you shall rule over you, and you shall flee when none pursues you. 18 And if in spite of this you will not hearken to me, then I will chastise you again sevenfold for your sins, 19 and I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like brass; 20 and your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, and the trees of the land shall not yield their fruit.
21 “Then if you walk contrary to me, and will not hearken to me, I will bring more plagues upon you, sevenfold as many as your sins. 22 And I will let loose the wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number, so that your ways shall become desolate.
23 “And if by this discipline you are not turned to me, but walk contrary to me, 24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I myself will smite you sevenfold for your sins. 25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute vengeance for the covenant; and if you gather within your cities I will send pestilence among you, and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. 26 When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and shall deliver your bread again by weight; and you shall eat, and not be satisfied.
27 “And if in spite of this you will not hearken to me, but walk contrary to me, 28 then I will walk contrary to you in fury, and chastise you myself sevenfold for your sins. 29 You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters. 30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and cast your dead bodies upon the dead bodies of your idols; and my soul will abhor you. 31 And I will lay your cities waste, and will make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell your pleasing odors. 32 And I will devastate the land, so that your enemies who settle in it shall be astonished at it. 33 And I will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you; and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.
34 “Then the land shall enjoy[a] its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land shall rest, and enjoy[b] its sabbaths. 35 As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, the rest which it had not in your sabbaths when you dwelt upon it. 36 And as for those of you that are left, I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; the sound of a driven leaf shall put them to flight, and they shall flee as one flees from the sword, and they shall fall when none pursues. 37 They shall stumble over one another, as if to escape a sword, though none pursues; and you shall have no power to stand before your enemies. 38 And you shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. 39 And those of you that are left shall pine away in your enemies’ lands because of their iniquity; and also because of the iniquities of their fathers they shall pine away like them.
40 “But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers in their treachery which they committed against me, and also in walking contrary to me, 41 so that I walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled and they make amends for their iniquity; 42 then I will remember my covenant with Jacob, and I will remember my covenant with Isaac and my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land. 43 But the land shall be left by them, and enjoy[c] its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; and they shall make amends for their iniquity, because they spurned my ordinances, and their soul abhorred my statutes. 44 Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not spurn them, neither will I abhor them so as to destroy them utterly and break my covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God; 45 but I will for their sake remember the covenant with their forefathers, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.”
46 These are the statutes and ordinances and laws which the Lord made between him and the people of Israel on Mount Sinai by Moses.
