祭司保持聖潔的條例
21 耶和華對摩西說：「你把以下條例告訴祭司——亞倫的子孫。
「祭司不可因接觸死去的族人而使自己不潔淨， 2 但骨肉至親，如父母、兒女、兄弟、 3 以及未出嫁仍是處女的姊妹例外。 4 祭司不可因姻親的關係而玷污自己。[a] 5 祭司不可剃光頭、修剪鬍鬚或割傷身體。 6 他們要做上帝的聖潔之民，不可褻瀆我的名。因為他們負責獻我的火祭，即我的食物，所以要保持聖潔。 7 他們不可娶妓女或被休的女人為妻，因為祭司要為了我而保持聖潔。 8 要視祭司為聖潔的，因為他們負責獻你們上帝的食物。要視他們為聖潔的，因為使你們聖潔的我——耶和華是聖潔的。 9 如果有祭司的女兒做妓女，辱沒自己，她就是辱沒自己的父親，必須燒死她。
10 「大祭司在眾祭司中職分最高，頭上澆過膏油，已經承受聖職、穿上聖衣，他不可披頭散髮、撕裂衣服。 11 他不可接近死者，即使是父母也不可，以免玷污自己。 12 他不可因喪事走出他上帝的聖所，以免褻瀆聖所，因為我的膏油已經使他聖潔。我是耶和華。 13 他必須娶處女為妻， 14 不可娶寡婦、被休的女人或妓女，只可娶本族中的處女為妻， 15 以免在民中玷污自己的子孫，因為我是使他們聖潔的耶和華。」
16 耶和華對摩西說： 17 「你把以下條例告訴亞倫。
「你的子孫中，任何有殘疾的人都不可前來獻他上帝的食物，這是世世代代都要遵守的律例。 18 瞎眼的、跛腳的、五官不正的、畸形的、 19 四肢不全的、 20 駝背的、矮小的、患眼疾的、長疥癬的或睪丸受損的，都不可近前來獻祭。 21 亞倫祭司子孫中有殘疾的都不可向耶和華獻火祭。他們既然有殘疾，就不可近前來獻我的食物。 22 他們可以吃我的食物，聖的和至聖的都可以吃。 23 但他們不可走近幔子或祭壇，因為他們有殘疾。這樣做是為了避免他們褻瀆我的聖所。我是使聖所聖潔的耶和華。」
24 摩西把這些條例告訴了亞倫父子們和所有的以色列人。

21 주께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. “아론의 아들들인 제사장들에게 이렇게 말하여라. 너는 그들에게 이렇게 일러라.
‘제사장은 죽은 사람의 몸을 만져 자신의 몸을 더럽히는 일이 없어야 한다. 2 그러나 자기 어머니나 아버지, 아들이나 딸, 형제와 같은 가까운 살붙이의 주검을 만지는 것은 괜찮다. 3 그리고 결혼하지 않은[a] 누이의 주검을 만져 몸을 더럽히는 것은 괜찮다. 그 여자에게 남편이 없어 그가 돌볼 수밖에 없기 때문이다. 4 그러나 결혼으로 맺어진 친척을 위하여 자기 몸을 더럽혀 부정하게 되어서는 안 된다.
5 제사장은 머리털을 밀어 대머리같이 하거나, 구레나룻의 끝을 자르거나, 제 몸에 칼자국을 내서는 안 된다. 6 제사장들은 하나님께 몸 바쳐 거룩하게 구별된 사람들이므로 그들이 섬기는 하나님의 이름을 욕되게 하여서는 안 된다. 그들은 주께 예물, 곧 그들의 하나님께 음식을 바치는 사람들이기 때문에 거룩하여야 한다.
7 제사장은 몸 파는 여자와 결혼해서는 안 된다. 그런 여자는 몸을 더럽혔기 때문이다. 남편과 이혼한 여자와도 결혼하지 못 한다. 제사장은 하나님 앞에 거룩하게 구별된 사람이기 때문이다. 8 제사장은 너희 하나님께 음식을 바치는 사람들이니, 너희는 그들을 거룩하게 여겨야 한다. 나 주가 거룩하며 내가 너희를 거룩하게 한다.
9 제사장의 딸이 몸 파는 여자가 되어 몸을 더럽히면 제 아버지도 더럽히는 것이다. 그러니 그 여자를 불태워 죽여야 한다.
10 대제사장은 형제 제사장들 가운데서 뽑힌 사람이다. 그는 머리에 기름부음을 받고 특별한 옷을 입도록 대제사장으로 임명 받은 사람이다. 그러므로 그는 머리를 풀거나 옷을 찢으며 여러 사람 앞에서 슬픔을 나타내서는 안 된다. 11 대제사장은 주검이 있는 곳에 들어가면 안 된다. 자기 아버지나 어머니가 죽었더라도 주검에 다가가 자신을 더럽혀서는 안 된다. 12 그는 성소를 떠나지 못하며 자기 하나님의 성소를 더럽혀서는 안 된다. 그는 그의 하나님이 기름을 부어 거룩하게 구별한 사람이기 때문이다. 나는 주다.
13 대제사장이 결혼하는 여자는 반드시 처녀이어야 한다. 14 대제사장은 홀어미나, 이혼한 여자나, 몸 파는 여자와 결혼할 수 없다. 그는 자기 동족 가운데서 처녀를 아내로 맞아야 한다. 15 그래야만 그가 부정한 자녀들을 낳아 자기 민족 가운데 남기는 일이 없을 것이다. 그를 거룩하게 하는 이는 나 주이다.’”
16 주께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. 17 “아론에게 전하여라.
‘대대로 너의 자손 가운데 몸에 흠이 있는 사람은 하나님께 음식제물을 바치러 제단 가까이 다가올 수 없다. 18 몸에 흠이 있어서 하나님께 가까이 나아갈 수 없는 사람은 다음과 같은 사람들이다. 곧 눈먼 사람, 다리를 저는 사람, 얼굴이 일그러진 사람, 몸의 어느 부위가 제대로 생기지 않은 사람, 19 발이나 손이 부러진 사람, 20 곱사등이, 난장이, 눈에 흠이 있는 사람, 종기나 악성 피부병에 걸린 사람, 고환이 망가진 사람이다.
21 제사장 아론의 자손 가운데서 몸에 흠이 있는 사람은 주께 번제물을 바치러 제단 가까이 나아올 수 없다. 그는 몸에 흠이 있기 때문에 하나님께 음식제물을 올리러 가까이 나아올 수 없다. 22 그래도 그는 거룩한 음식뿐 아니라 가장 거룩한 음식을 먹을 수 있다. 23 그러나 그의 몸에 흠이 있으므로 휘장 가까이 가거나 제단에 다가가서는 안 된다. 그렇게 하여 나의 성소를 더럽혀서는 안 되기 때문이다. 제사장들을 거룩하게 하는 이는 나 주이다.’”
24 모세가 주의 말씀을 아론과 그의 아들들과 온 이스라엘 백성에게 전하였다.

21 The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron,(A) and say to them: ‘A priest must not make himself ceremonially unclean(B) for any of his people who die,(C) 2 except for a close relative, such as his mother or father,(D) his son or daughter, his brother, 3 or an unmarried sister who is dependent on him since she has no husband—for her he may make himself unclean.(E) 4 He must not make himself unclean for people related to him by marriage,[a] and so defile himself.
5 “‘Priests must not shave(F) their heads or shave off the edges of their beards(G) or cut their bodies.(H) 6 They must be holy to their God(I) and must not profane the name of their God.(J) Because they present the food offerings to the Lord,(K) the food of their God,(L) they are to be holy.(M)
7 “‘They must not marry women defiled by prostitution or divorced from their husbands,(N) because priests are holy to their God.(O) 8 Regard them as holy,(P) because they offer up the food of your God.(Q) Consider them holy, because I the Lord am holy—I who make you holy.(R)
9 “‘If a priest’s daughter defiles herself by becoming a prostitute, she disgraces her father; she must be burned in the fire.(S)
10 “‘The high priest, the one among his brothers who has had the anointing oil poured on his head(T) and who has been ordained to wear the priestly garments,(U) must not let his hair become unkempt[b] or tear his clothes.(V) 11 He must not enter a place where there is a dead body.(W) He must not make himself unclean,(X) even for his father or mother,(Y) 12 nor leave the sanctuary(Z) of his God or desecrate it, because he has been dedicated by the anointing oil(AA) of his God. I am the Lord.
13 “‘The woman he marries must be a virgin.(AB) 14 He must not marry a widow, a divorced woman, or a woman defiled by prostitution, but only a virgin from his own people, 15 so that he will not defile his offspring among his people. I am the Lord, who makes him holy.’”
16 The Lord said to Moses, 17 “Say to Aaron: ‘For the generations to come none of your descendants who has a defect(AC) may come near to offer the food of his God.(AD) 18 No man who has any defect(AE) may come near: no man who is blind(AF) or lame,(AG) disfigured or deformed; 19 no man with a crippled foot or hand, 20 or who is a hunchback or a dwarf, or who has any eye defect, or who has festering or running sores or damaged testicles.(AH) 21 No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any defect(AI) is to come near to present the food offerings to the Lord.(AJ) He has a defect; he must not come near to offer the food of his God.(AK) 22 He may eat the most holy food of his God,(AL) as well as the holy food; 23 yet because of his defect,(AM) he must not go near the curtain or approach the altar, and so desecrate my sanctuary.(AN) I am the Lord, who makes them holy.(AO)’”
24 So Moses told this to Aaron and his sons and to all the Israelites.
