7 耶和華對挪亞說：“你和你全家都要進入方舟，因為在這世代中，我見只有你在我面前是個義人。 2 潔淨的牲畜，你要各帶七公七母；不潔淨的牲畜，你要各帶一公一母； 3 空中的飛鳥，也要各帶七公七母，以便傳種，活在全地上； 4 因為再過七天，我就要一連四十晝夜降雨在地上，我把所造的一切生物都從地上除滅。” 5 挪亞就照著耶和華吩咐他的一切作了。
6 洪水臨到地上的時候，挪亞剛好是六百歲。 7 挪亞帶著他的兒子、妻子和兒媳一同進了方舟，躲避洪水。 8 潔淨的牲畜和不潔淨的牲畜，飛鳥和各種在地上爬行的動物， 9 都是一公一母、一對一對來到挪亞那裡，進入方舟，是照著 神吩咐挪亞的。 10 那七天一過，洪水就臨到地上了。 11 挪亞六百歲那一年，二月十七日那一天，所有大淵的泉源都裂開了，天上的窗戶都敞開了。 12 大雨傾盆下在地上，一連四十晝夜。

洪水氾濫淹沒世界
17 洪水就臨到地上四十天；水不斷上漲，把方舟升起，於是方舟就從地上浮起來。 18 水勢甚大，在地上大大上漲，方舟就在水面上漂來漂去。 19 水勢在地面上越來越大，天下所有的高山都被淹沒了。 20 水勢浩大，比眾山高出七公尺，山嶺都被淹沒了。 21 凡有生命仍在地上行動的，無論是飛鳥或是牲畜，走獸或是在地上滋生的各樣小生物，以及所有的人都死了； 22 仍在陸地上，鼻孔裡有氣息的生靈都死了。 23 耶和華把地上的所有生物，從人類到牲畜，爬行的動物，以及空中的飛鳥都除滅了；於是，這一切都從地上消滅了。只留下挪亞和那些與挪亞一同在方舟裡的。 24 水勢浩大，在地上共一百五十天。

7 And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.
2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
3 Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.
5 And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.
6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.
7 And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
8 Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.
10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.
16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.
17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

7 Then the (B)Lord said to Noah, (C)“Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that (D)you are righteous before Me in this generation. 2 You shall take with you seven each of every (E)clean animal, a male and his female; (F)two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female; 3 also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep [a]the species alive on the face of all the earth. 4 For after (G)seven more days I will cause it to rain on the earth (H)forty days and forty nights, and I will [b]destroy from the face of the earth all living things that I have made.” 5 (I)And Noah did according to all that the Lord commanded him. 6 Noah was (J)six hundred years old when the floodwaters were on the earth.

The waters increased and lifted up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. 18 The waters prevailed and greatly increased on the earth, (U)and the ark moved about on the surface of the waters. 19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered. 20 The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered. 21 (V)And all flesh died that moved on [c]the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man. 22 All in (W)whose nostrils was the breath [d]of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died. 23 So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. 7 Then the Lord said to Noah, (A)“Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that (B)you are righteous before me in this generation. 2 Take with you seven pairs of all (C)clean animals,[a] the male and his mate, and a pair of the animals that are not clean, the male and his mate, 3 and seven pairs[b] of the birds of the heavens also, male and female, to keep their offspring alive on the face of all the earth. 4 For in seven days (D)I will send rain on the earth forty days and forty nights, (E)and every living thing[c] that I have made I will blot out from the face of the ground.” 5 (F)And Noah did all that the Lord had commanded him.
6 Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth. 7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him went into the ark to escape the waters of the flood. 8 Of clean animals, and of animals that are not clean, and of birds, and of everything that creeps on the ground, 9 two and two, male and female, went into the ark with Noah, as God had commanded Noah. 10 And after seven days the waters of the flood came upon the earth.

17 The flood (K)continued forty days on the earth. The waters increased and bore up the ark, and it rose high above the earth. 18 The waters prevailed and increased greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the face of the waters. 19 And the waters prevailed so mightily on the earth that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered. 20 The waters prevailed above the mountains, covering them fifteen cubits[d] deep. 21 And (L)all flesh died that moved on the earth, birds, livestock, beasts, all swarming creatures that swarm on the earth, and all mankind. 22 Everything on the dry land (M)in whose nostrils was the breath of life died. 23 He blotted out every living thing that was on the face of the ground, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens. They were blotted out from the earth. Only (N)Noah was left, and those who were with him in the ark. 24 And the waters prevailed on the earth 150 days.
