乃缦得医治
5 亚兰王的元帅乃缦在他主人面前是一个伟大的人，得王的喜悦，因为耶和华曾藉他使亚兰人得胜。他虽然是大能的勇士，却染上了麻风[a]。 2 亚兰人成群出征的时候，从以色列地掳了一个小女孩，她就服事乃缦的妻子。 3 她对女主人说：“我希望主人去见撒玛利亚的先知，他必能治好主人的麻风。” 4 乃缦去告诉他主人说，从以色列地来的女孩如此如此说。 5 亚兰王说：“你可以去，我也会送信给以色列王。”于是乃缦手里带十他连得银子、六千舍客勒金子和十套衣裳去了。 6 他带着这信给以色列王，说：“现在你接到这信，看哪，我派臣仆乃缦到你这里来，你要治好他的麻风。” 7 以色列王读了信就撕裂衣服，说：“我岂是 神，能使人死使人活呢？这人竟派人来，叫我治好一个人的麻风。你们要知道，看，这人是找机会来跟我吵架的。”
8 神人以利沙听见以色列王撕裂衣服，就派人到王那里，说：“你为什么撕裂衣服呢？让那人到我这里来，他会知道以色列中有先知。” 9 于是乃缦带着车马到了以利沙的家，站在门前。 10 以利沙派一个使者，对乃缦说：“去，在约旦河中沐浴七次，你的肉就必复原，你会得洁净。” 11 乃缦却发怒走了。他说：“看哪，我以为他必定会出来，到我这里，站着求告耶和华—他 神的名，在患处上摇手，治好这麻风。 12 大马士革的亚玛拿[b]河和法珥法河岂不比以色列的一切水更好吗？我难道不可以在那里沐浴而得洁净吗？”于是他生气，转身走了。 13 他的仆人近前来，对他说：“我父啊，先知若吩咐你做一件大事，你岂不做吗？何况是吩咐你去沐浴，得洁净呢？” 14 于是乃缦下去，照着神人的话，在约旦河里浸了七次。他的肉复原，好像小孩的肉，他就洁净了。
15 乃缦带着所有跟随他的人，回到神人那里，站在他面前，说：“看哪，我知道，除了以色列，全地没有 神。现在请你收下仆人的礼物。” 16 以利沙说：“我指着所事奉永生的耶和华起誓，我必不接受。”乃缦再三请他收下，他却不肯。 17 乃缦说：“你若不肯，请把两匹骡子能驮的土赐给仆人，仆人必不再把燔祭或祭物献给别神，只献给耶和华。 18 惟有一件事，愿耶和华饶恕你仆人：我主人进临门庙在那里叩拜的时候，他总是扶着我的手，所以我也在临门庙叩拜。我在临门庙叩拜的这事，愿耶和华饶恕你仆人。” 19 以利沙对他说：“你平安地回去吧！”
乃缦离开他去了。走了一小段路， 20 神人以利沙的仆人基哈西说：“看哪，我主人不愿从这亚兰人乃缦手里接受他带来的礼物，我指着永生的耶和华起誓，我必跑去追上他，向他拿些东西。” 21 于是基哈西去追乃缦。乃缦看见有人追来，就下车迎着他，说：“都平安吗？” 22 他说：“都平安！我主人派我来说：‘看哪，现在有两个年轻人，是先知的门徒，从以法莲山区来到我这里，请你给他们一他连得银子，两套衣裳。’” 23 乃缦说：“好啊，请收下二他连得。”他再三请求，就把二他连得银子装在两个袋子里，连同两套衣裳交给两个仆人；他们就在基哈西前头抬着走。 24 到了山冈，基哈西从他们手中接过来，放在屋里，打发这些人走了。 25 基哈西进去，站在主人面前。以利沙对他说：“基哈西，你从哪里来？”他说：“仆人哪里也没去。” 26 以利沙对他说：“那人下车转过来迎着你的时候，我的心岂没有去呢？这岂是接受银子，接受衣裳、橄榄园、葡萄园、牛羊、仆婢的时候呢？ 27 因此，乃缦的麻风必紧随你和你的后裔，直到永远。”基哈西从以利沙面前出去，就长了麻风，像雪一样。

5 Naamán, general del ejército del rey de Siria, era gran varón delante de su señor, y en alta estima, porque el SEÑOR había dado salvación a Siria por él. Era este hombre valeroso de virtud, pero leproso.
2 Y de Siria habían salido escuadrones, y habían llevado cautiva de la tierra de Israel una muchacha que servía a la mujer de Naamán.
3 Esta dijo a su señora: Si rogara mi señor al profeta que está en Samaria, él lo sanaría de su lepra.
4 Y entrando Naamán a su señor, se lo declaró, diciendo: Así y así ha dicho una muchacha que es de la tierra de Israel.
5 Y el rey de Siria le dijo: Anda, ve, y yo enviaré letras al rey de Israel. Partió, pues él, llevando consigo diez talentos de plata, y seis mil piezas de oro, y diez mudas de vestidos.
6 Tomó también letras para el rey de Israel, que decían así: Luego llegando a ti estas letras, he aquí que he enviado a mi esclavo Naamán a ti, para que lo sanes de su lepra.
7 Y cuando el rey de Israel leyó las cartas, rasgó sus vestidos, y dijo: ¿Soy yo Dios, que mate y dé vida, para que éste envíe por mí a que sane a un hombre de su lepra? Considerad ahora, y ved cómo busca ocasión contra mí.
8 Y cuando Eliseo, varón de Dios oyó que el rey de Israel había rasgado sus vestidos, envió a decir al rey: ¿Por qué has rasgado tus vestidos? Venga ahora a mí, y sabrá que hay profeta en Israel.
9 Y vino Naamán con su caballería y con su carro, y se paró a las puertas de la casa de Eliseo.
10 Entonces Eliseo le envió un mensajero, diciendo: Ve, y lávate siete veces en el Jordán, y tu carne se te restaurará, y serás limpio.
11 Y Naamán se fue enojado, diciendo: He aquí yo decía para mí: Saldrá él luego, y estando en pie invocará el nombre del SEÑOR su Dios, y alzará su mano, y tocará el lugar, y sanará la lepra.
12 Abana y Farfar, los ríos de Damasco, ¿no son mejores que todas las aguas de Israel? Si me lavare en ellos, ¿no seré también limpio? Y se volvió, y se fue enojado.
13 Entonces sus criados se acercaron a él, y le hablaron, diciendo: Padre mío, si el profeta te mandara alguna gran cosa, ¿no la harías? ¿Cuánto más, diciéndote: Lávate, y serás limpio?
14 El entonces descendió, y se lavó siete veces en el Jordán, conforme a la palabra del varón de Dios; y su carne se volvió como la carne de un niño, y fue limpio.
15 Y volvió al varón de Dios, él y toda su compañía, y se puso delante de él, y dijo: He aquí ahora conozco que no hay Dios en toda la tierra, sino en Israel. Te ruego que recibas alguna bendición de tu esclavo.
16 Mas él dijo: Vive el SEÑOR, delante del cual estoy, que no lo tomaré. E importunándole a que tomara, él nunca quiso.
17 Entonces Naamán dijo: Te ruego, pues, ¿no se dará a tu esclavo la carga de un par de mulas de esta tierra? Porque de aquí en adelante tu esclavo no sacrificará holocausto ni sacrificio a otros dioses, sino al SEÑOR.
18 En esto perdone el SEÑOR a tu esclavo: que cuando mi señor entrare en el templo de Rimón, y para adorar en él se apoyare sobre mi mano, si yo también me inclinare en el templo de Rimón, que el SEÑOR perdone en esto a tu esclavo, si en el templo de Rimón me inclino.
19 ¶ Y él le dijo: Vete en paz. Y cuando se apartó de él una milla de tierra,
20 Giezi, el criado de Eliseo varón de Dios, dijo entre sí: He aquí mi señor estorbó a este sirio, Naamán, no tomando de su mano las cosas que había traído. Vive el SEÑOR, que correré yo tras él, y tomaré de él alguna cosa.
21 Y siguió Giezi a Naamán; y cuando Naamán le vio que venía corriendo tras él, descendió del carro para recibirle, y dijo: ¿No hay paz?
22 Y él dijo: Paz. Mi señor me envía a decir: He aquí vinieron a mí en esta hora del monte de Efraín dos jóvenes de los hijos de los profetas; te ruego que les des un talento de plata, y sendas mudas de vestidos.
23 Y Naamán dijo: Si quiere toma dos talentos. Y él le constriñó, y ató dos talentos de plata en dos sacos, y dos mudas de vestidos, y lo puso a cuestas a dos de sus criados, que lo llevaran delante de él.
24 Y cuando llegó a un lugar secreto, él lo tomó de mano de ellos, y lo guardó en casa; luego mandó a los hombres que se fueran.
25 Y él entró, y se puso delante de su señor. Y Eliseo le dijo: ¿De dónde vienes, Giezi? Y él dijo: Tu siervo no ha ido a ninguna parte.
26 El entonces le dijo: ¿No fue también mi corazón, cuando el hombre volvió de su carro a recibirte? ¿Es tiempo de tomar plata, y de tomar vestidos, olivares, viñas, ovejas y bueyes, esclavos y esclavas?
27 La lepra de Naamán se te pegará a ti, y a tu simiente para siempre. Y salió de delante de él leproso, blanco como la nieve.

5 Naamán,(A) general del ejército del rey de Siria, era varón grande delante de su señor, y lo tenía en alta estima, porque por medio de él había dado Jehová salvación a Siria. Era este hombre valeroso en extremo, pero leproso. 2 Y de Siria habían salido bandas armadas, y habían llevado cautiva de la tierra de Israel a una muchacha, la cual servía a la mujer de Naamán. 3 Esta dijo a su señora: Si rogase mi señor al profeta que está en Samaria, él lo sanaría de su lepra. 4 Entrando Naamán a su señor, le relató diciendo: Así y así ha dicho una muchacha que es de la tierra de Israel. 5 Y le dijo el rey de Siria: Anda, ve, y yo enviaré cartas al rey de Israel.
Salió, pues, él, llevando consigo diez talentos de plata, y seis mil piezas de oro, y diez mudas de vestidos. 6 Tomó también cartas para el rey de Israel, que decían así: Cuando lleguen a ti estas cartas, sabe por ellas que yo envío a ti mi siervo Naamán, para que lo sanes de su lepra. 7 Luego que el rey de Israel leyó las cartas, rasgó sus vestidos, y dijo: ¿Soy yo Dios, que mate y dé vida, para que este envíe a mí a que sane un hombre de su lepra? Considerad ahora, y ved cómo busca ocasión contra mí.
8 Cuando Eliseo el varón de Dios oyó que el rey de Israel había rasgado sus vestidos, envió a decir al rey: ¿Por qué has rasgado tus vestidos? Y le instaba que aceptara alguna cosa, pero él no quiso. 17 Entonces Naamán dijo: Te ruego, pues, ¿de esta tierra no se dará a tu siervo la carga de un par de mulas? Porque de aquí en adelante tu siervo no sacrificará holocausto ni ofrecerá sacrificio a otros dioses, sino a Jehová. 18 En esto perdone Jehová a tu siervo: que cuando mi señor el rey entrare en el templo de Rimón para adorar en él, y se apoyare sobre mi brazo, si yo también me inclinare en el templo de Rimón; cuando haga tal, Jehová perdone en esto a tu siervo. 19 Y él le dijo: Ve en paz. Se fue, pues, y caminó como media legua de tierra.
20 Entonces Giezi, criado de Eliseo el varón de Dios, dijo entre sí: He aquí mi señor estorbó a este sirio Naamán, no tomando de su mano las cosas que había traído. Vive Jehová, que correré yo tras él y tomaré de él alguna cosa. 21 Y siguió Giezi a Naamán; y cuando vio Naamán que venía corriendo tras él, se bajó del carro para recibirle, y dijo: ¿Va todo bien? 22 Y él dijo: Bien. Mi señor me envía a decirte: He aquí vinieron a mí en esta hora del monte de Efraín dos jóvenes de los hijos de los profetas; te ruego que les des un talento de plata, y dos vestidos nuevos. 23 Dijo Naamán: Te ruego que tomes dos talentos. Y le insistió, y ató dos talentos de plata en dos bolsas, y dos vestidos nuevos, y lo puso todo a cuestas a dos de sus criados para que lo llevasen delante de él. 24 Y así que llegó a un lugar secreto, él lo tomó de mano de ellos, y lo guardó en la casa; luego mandó a los hombres que se fuesen. 25 Y él entró, y se puso delante de su señor. Y Eliseo le dijo: ¿De dónde vienes, Giezi? Y él dijo: Tu siervo no ha ido a ninguna parte. 26 Él entonces le dijo: ¿No estaba también allí mi corazón, cuando el hombre volvió de su carro a recibirte? ¿Es tiempo de tomar plata, y de tomar vestidos, olivares, viñas, ovejas, bueyes, siervos y siervas? 27 Por tanto, la lepra de Naamán se te pegará a ti y a tu descendencia para siempre. Naaman Healed of Leprosy
5 Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram.(A) He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy.[a](B)
2 Now bands of raiders(C) from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife. 3 She said to her mistress, “If only my master would see the prophet(D) who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.”
4 Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said. 5 “By all means, go,” the king of Aram replied. “I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So Naaman left, taking with him ten talents[b] of silver, six thousand shekels[c] of gold and ten sets of clothing.(E) 6 The letter that he took to the king of Israel read: “With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy.”
7 As soon as the king of Israel read the letter,(F) he tore his robes and said, “Am I God?(G) Can I kill and bring back to life?(H) Why does this fellow send someone to me to be cured of his leprosy? See how he is trying to pick a quarrel(I) with me!”
8 When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his robes, he sent him this message: “Why have you torn your robes? Have the man come to me and he will know that there is a prophet(J) in Israel.” 9 So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house. 10 Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash(K) yourself seven times(L) in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”
11 But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand(M) over the spot and cure me of my leprosy. 12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters(N) of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage.(O)
13 Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father,(P) if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!” 14 So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times,(Q) as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored(R) and became clean like that of a young boy.(S)
15 Then Naaman and all his attendants went back to the man of God(T). He stood before him and said, “Now I know(U) that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift(V) from your servant.”
16 The prophet answered, “As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept a thing.” And even though Naaman urged him, he refused.(W)
17 “If you will not,” said Naaman, “please let me, your servant, be given as much earth(X) as a pair of mules can carry, for your servant will never again make burnt offerings and sacrifices to any other god but the Lord. 18 But may the Lord forgive your servant for this one thing: When my master enters the temple of Rimmon to bow down and he is leaning(Y) on my arm and I have to bow there also—when I bow down in the temple of Rimmon, may the Lord forgive your servant for this.”
19 “Go in peace,”(Z) Elisha said.
After Naaman had traveled some distance, 20 Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said to himself, “My master was too easy on Naaman, this Aramean, by not accepting from him what he brought. As surely as the Lord(AA) lives, I will run after him and get something from him.”
21 So Gehazi hurried after Naaman. When Naaman saw him running toward him, he got down from the chariot to meet him. “Is everything all right?” he asked.
22 “Everything is all right,” Gehazi answered. “My master sent me to say, ‘Two young men from the company of the prophets have just come to me from the hill country of Ephraim. Please give them a talent[d] of silver and two sets of clothing.’”(AB)
23 “By all means, take two talents,” said Naaman. He urged Gehazi to accept them, and then tied up the two talents of silver in two bags, with two sets of clothing. He gave them to two of his servants, and they carried them ahead of Gehazi. 24 When Gehazi came to the hill, he took the things from the servants and put them away in the house. He sent the men away and they left.
25 When he went in and stood before his master, Elisha asked him, “Where have you been, Gehazi?”
“Your servant didn’t go anywhere,” Gehazi answered.
26 But Elisha said to him, “Was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time(AC) to take money or to accept clothes—or olive groves and vineyards, or flocks and herds, or male and female slaves?(AD) 27 Naaman’s leprosy(AE) will cling to you and to your descendants forever.” Then Gehazi(AF) went from Elisha’s presence and his skin was leprous—it had become as white as snow.(AG)

5 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
4 And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
5 And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
7 And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
8 And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
15 And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
16 But he said, As the Lord liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.
17 And Naaman said, Shall there not then, I pray thee, be given to thy servant two mules' burden of earth? for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice unto other gods, but unto the Lord.
18 In this thing the Lord pardon thy servant, that when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leaneth on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon: when I bow down myself in the house of Rimmon, the Lord pardon thy servant in this thing.
19 And he said unto him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.
20 But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master hath spared Naaman this Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought: but, as the Lord liveth, I will run after him, and take somewhat of him.
21 So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he lighted down from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?
22 And he said, All is well. My master hath sent me, saying, Behold, even now there be come to me from mount Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets: give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of garments.
23 And Naaman said, Be content, take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of garments, and laid them upon two of his servants; and they bare them before him.
24 And when he came to the tower, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house: and he let the men go, and they departed.
25 But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said unto him, Whence comest thou, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went no whither.
26 And he said unto him, Went not mine heart with thee, when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?
27 The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
