9 所罗门建造完了耶和华的殿、王宫和所罗门渴想建造的一切以后， 2 耶和华就第二次向所罗门显现，像先前在基遍向他显现一样。 3 耶和华对他说：“你在我面前所作的祷告和恳求，我都已经听见了。你建造的这殿，我已经把它分别为圣，要使我的名永远留在那里；我的眼和我的心也必常在那里。 4 至于你，如果你像你父亲大卫那样，存诚实和正直的心在我面前行事为人，遵行我一切所吩咐你的，谨守我的律例和典章， 5 我就必坚固你统治以色列的国位，直到永远，正如我应许你父亲大卫说：‘你的子孙，总不断有人坐以色列的王位。 6 你们或是你们的子孙，若是转去不跟从我，不遵守我赐给你们的诫命和律例，去事奉别的神，敬拜他们， 7 我就必把以色列人从我赐给他们的这地上剪除，甚至为自己的名分别为圣的这殿，我也必从我面前把它丢弃不顾，使以色列人在万族中成为笑谈和讥笑的对象。 8 这殿必成为废墟（按照《马索拉文本》，“成为废墟”应作“甚高”；现参照《叙利亚译本》翻译），经过的人都必惊讶，取笑说：耶和华为甚么向这地和这殿这样作啊？ 9 人要回答说：是因为他们离弃了那把他们的列祖从埃及地领出来的耶和华他们的 神，去亲近别的神，敬拜他们，事奉他们，因此耶和华使这一切灾祸临到他们。’”

10 所罗门用了二十年的时间来建造耶和华的殿和王宫这两座建筑物。 11 因为推罗王希兰曾照着所罗门所喜爱的，以香柏木、松木和金子帮助他，于是所罗门王把加利利地的二十座城给了希兰。 12 希兰从推罗出来，看看所罗门给他的这些城。他不喜欢这些城， 13 他说：“我的兄弟啊，这些就是你送给我的城吗？”于是他给这些城起名叫迦步勒，直到今日。 14 希兰送给所罗门约有四千公斤金子。

The Lord Appears to Solomon
9 (A)As soon as Solomon had finished building the house of the Lord (B)and the king's house and (C)all that Solomon desired to build, 2 (D)the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, as he had appeared to him at Gibeon. 3 And the Lord said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your plea, which you have made before me. I have consecrated this house that you have built, (E)by putting my name there forever. (F)My eyes and my heart will be there for all time. 4 And as for you, if you will (G)walk before me, (H)as David your father walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, and keeping my statutes and my rules, 5 (I)then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’ 6 (J)But if you turn aside from following me, you or your children, and do not keep my commandments and my statutes that I have set before you, but go and serve other gods and worship them, 7 (K)then I will cut off Israel from the land that I have given them, (L)and the house that I have consecrated for my name I will cast out of my sight, (M)and Israel will become a proverb and a byword among all peoples. 8 And this house will become a heap of ruins.[a] Everyone passing by it will be astonished and will hiss, and they will say, (N)‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’ 9 Then they will say, ‘Because (O)they abandoned the Lord their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt and laid hold on other gods and worshiped them and served them. Therefore the Lord has brought all this disaster on them.’”
Solomon's Other Acts
10 (P)At the end of (Q)twenty years, in which Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the Lord and the king's house, 11 and Hiram king of Tyre had supplied Solomon with cedar and cypress timber and gold, as much as he desired, King Solomon gave to Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee. 12 But when Hiram came from Tyre to see the cities that Solomon had given him, they did not please him. 13 Therefore he said, “What kind of cities are these that you have given me, my brother?” So they are called the land of (R)Cabul to this day. 14 Hiram had sent to the king 120 talents[b] of gold.
15 And this is the account of (S)the forced labor that King Solomon drafted to build the house of the Lord and his own house and (T)the Millo and the wall of Jerusalem and (U)Hazor and (V)Megiddo and Gezer 16 (Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up and captured Gezer and burned it with fire, and had killed (W)the Canaanites who lived in the city, and had given it as dowry to (X)his daughter, Solomon's wife; 17 so Solomon rebuilt Gezer) and (Y)Lower Beth-horon 18 and Baalath and Tamar in the wilderness, in the land of Judah,[c] 19 and all the store cities that Solomon had, and (Z)the cities for his chariots, and the cities for (AA)his horsemen, and whatever Solomon (AB)desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion. 20 All the people who were left of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites, who were not of the people of Israel— 21 (AC)their descendants who were left after them in the land, (AD)whom the people of Israel were unable to devote to destruction[d]—(AE)these Solomon drafted to be (AF)slaves, and so they are to this day. 22 But (AG)of the people of Israel Solomon made no slaves. They were the soldiers, they were his officials, his commanders, his captains, his chariot commanders and his horsemen.
23 These were the chief officers who were over Solomon's work: (AH)550 (AI)who had charge of the people who carried on the work.
24 But (AJ)Pharaoh's daughter went up from the city of David to (AK)her own house that Solomon had built for her. (AL)Then he built (AM)the Millo.
25 Three times a year Solomon used to offer up burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar that he built to the Lord, making offerings with it[e] before the Lord. So he finished the house.
26 King Solomon built a fleet of ships at (AN)Ezion-geber, which is near Eloth on the shore of the Red Sea, in the land of Edom. 27 And Hiram sent (AO)with the fleet his servants, seamen who were familiar with the sea, together with the servants of Solomon. 28 And they went to (AP)Ophir and brought from there gold, 420 talents, and they brought it to King Solomon.

9 Cuando Salomón terminó de construir el Templo del Señor, el palacio real y todo cuanto deseaba hacer, 2 se le apareció el Señor por segunda vez, como se le había aparecido en Gabaón, 3 y le dijo:
— He escuchado las súplicas y plegarias que me has dirigido. He consagrado este Templo que has construido como residencia perpetua de mi nombre: aquí estarán siempre mis ojos y mi corazón. 4 Si tú procedes conmigo, como hizo tu padre David, con rectitud e integridad de corazón, cumpliendo lo que te he mandado y guardando mis preceptos y decretos, 5 reafirmaré para siempre tu reinado sobre Israel, tal como prometí a tu padre David: “No te faltarán descendientes en el trono de Israel”. 6 Pero si vosotros y vuestros hijos me abandonáis, si dejáis de observar los mandamientos y preceptos que os he dado y os vais a servir y a adorar a otros dioses, 7 arrancaré a Israel de la tierra que le he dado, rechazaré este Templo que he consagrado a mi nombre, e Israel quedará convertido en refrán y burla de todos los pueblos. 8 Este Templo quedará en ruinas y todo el que pase a su lado silbará extrañado y preguntará: “¿Por qué ha tratado así el Señor a este país y a este Templo?”. 9 Entonces le responderán: “Porque abandonaron al Señor, su Dios, que sacó a sus antepasados de Egipto, y se aferraron a otros dioses para adorarlos y servirlos. Por eso el Señor ha hecho caer sobre ellos todos estos castigos”.

10 En un período de veinte años Salomón construyó los dos edificios: el Templo del Señor y el palacio real. 11 Jirán, el rey de Tiro, proporcionó a Salomón madera de cedro y de pino y todo el oro que quiso. Entonces el rey Salomón entregó a Jirán veinte ciudades en la región de Galilea. 12 Jirán salió de Tiro para inspeccionar las ciudades que le había entregado Salomón, pero no le gustaron 13 y le dijo:
— ¡Qué ciudades que me has dado, hermano!
Y les puso el nombre de Tierra Kabul, que permanece actualmente. 14 Jirán, por su parte, había mandado al rey Salomón ciento veinte talentos de oro.

Tras incendiarla y matar a los cananeos que la habitaban, se la había entregado como dote a su hija, la esposa de Salomón. 17 Luego Salomón reconstruyó Guézer, Bet Jorón de Abajo, 18 Balat y Tamar en el desierto del país, 19 las ciudades de avituallamiento que tenía, las postas de carros y caballos y todo cuanto quiso construir en Jerusalén, en el Líbano y en todo el territorio de su soberanía. 20 A todos los supervivientes de los amorreos, hititas, fereceos, jeveos y jebuseos que no eran israelitas, 21 y que eran descendientes de aquellos que habían quedado en el país porque los israelitas no habían podido exterminarlos, Salomón los sometió a trabajos forzados. Y así siguen en la actualidad. 22 En cuanto a los israelitas, no los sometió a trabajos forzados, pues eran sus soldados, sus servidores, sus oficiales, sus escuderos y los encargados de sus carros y caballos. 23 Los capataces que Salomón había puesto al frente de sus obras eran quinientos cincuenta y supervisaban a la gente que trabajaba en sus obras.
24 Cuando la hija del faraón se trasladó desde la ciudad de David al palacio que Salomón le había construido, este levantó el terraplén. 25 Tres veces al año Salomón ofrecía holocaustos y sacrificios de comunión sobre el altar que había construido al Señor, quemaba incienso ante el Señor y mantenía el Templo.
26 El rey Salomón organizó una flota en Esionguéber, junto a Elat, en la costa del Mar Muerto, en territorio de Edom. 27 Y Jirán envió para la flota a sus servidores como tripulantes y marineros expertos, junto con los servidores de Salomón. 28 Llegaron hasta Ofir y trajeron de allí al rey Salomón unos cuatrocientos veinte talentos de oro.
