24 約雅敬執政期間，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒進犯，約雅敬臣服於他，三年後又背叛了他。 2 耶和華差遣迦勒底人、亞蘭人、摩押人和亞捫人來攻打約雅敬，毀滅猶大，正如祂藉著祂的僕人——眾先知所說的。 3 這些災禍臨到猶大是出自耶和華的命令。耶和華要把猶大人從自己面前趕走，是因為瑪拿西所犯的一切罪。 4 瑪拿西濫殺無辜，使耶路撒冷血流遍地，耶和華不會赦免這些罪行。 5 約雅敬其他的事及其一切所作所為都記在猶大的列王史上。 6 約雅敬與祖先同眠後，他兒子約雅斤繼位。 7 埃及王不再邁出國境，因為巴比倫王奪取了從埃及小河至幼發拉底河之間的埃及領土。

18 西底迦二十一歲登基，在耶路撒冷執政十一年。他母親叫哈慕她，是立拿人耶利米的女兒。 19 西底迦像約雅敬一樣做耶和華視為惡的事。 20 因此，耶和華向耶路撒冷和猶大的人發怒，把他們從祂面前趕走。

느부갓네살 왕이 쳐들어오다
24 여호야김이 다스리던 때에 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살이 쳐들어왔다. 여호야김은 세 해 동안 그의 봉신[a]이 되어 그를 섬기다가 마음을 바꾸어 느부갓네살에게 반기를 들었다. 2 주께서는 바빌론[b]과 아람과 모압과 암몬의 침략군을 보내셔서 여호야김과 싸우게 하셨다. 당신의 종 예언자들을 통하여 선포하신 대로 유다를 멸하려고 그들을 보내신 것이다.
3 이런 일이 유다에게 일어난 것은 분명히 주의 명령에 따라 되어진 것이다. 주께서는 므낫세가 지은 죄와 그가 한 모든 일 때문에 그들을 당신 앞에서 쫓아내기 위하여 그렇게 하셨다. 4 므낫세가 죄 없는 사람들을 죽여 그들의 피로 예루살렘을 가득 채웠으므로 주께서는 용서하실 마음이 없으셨다.

10 그때에 바빌론 왕 느부갓네살의 부하들이 예루살렘으로 쳐들어와 그 성을 에워쌌다. 11 그들이 예루살렘을 에워싸고 있는 동안에 느부갓네살 왕이 직접 그 성에 왔다. 12 그러자 유다 왕 여호야긴은 그의 어머니와 신하들과 귀족들과 관리들과 함께 느부갓네살 왕에게 항복하였다. 바빌론 왕 제 팔년에, 여호야긴은 바빌론 왕의 포로가 된 것이다.
13 주께서 말씀하신 대로 느부갓네살은 주의 성전과 왕궁의 모든 보물과 이스라엘 왕 솔로몬이 주의 성전을 위하여 만든 금그릇을 모두 가져갔다. 14 그는 또 예루살렘의 모든 주민을 끌어갔다. 곧 모든 관리, 군인, 기술자, 대장장이를 끌어가니 그 수가 일만 명에 이르렀다. 그리고 그 땅에서 가장 가난한 사람들만 남겨 두었다.
15 느부갓네살은 여호야긴을 바빌론으로 사로잡아 가고 그의 어머니와 아내들과 신하들과 그 나라의 지도자들을 예루살렘에서 바빌론으로 끌어갔다. 16 또한 바빌론 왕은 칠천 명의 용사를 바빌론으로 끌어갔는데 이들은 모두 힘이 세고 싸움을 잘하는 사람들이었다. 그리고 천 명의 기술자와 대장장이들도 바빌론으로 잡아갔다. 17 그런 다음 그는 여호야긴의 삼촌 맛다니야를 왕으로 세우고 그의 이름을 시드기야로 바꾸었다.

24 In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.
2 And the Lord sent against him bands of the Chaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by his servants the prophets.
3 Surely at the commandment of the Lord came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did;
4 And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the Lord would not pardon.
5 Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
6 So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers: and Jehoiachin his son reigned in his stead.
7 And the king of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: for the king of Babylon had taken from the river of Egypt unto the river Euphrates all that pertained to the king of Egypt.
8 Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. And his mother's name was Nehushta, the daughter of Elnathan of Jerusalem.
9 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father had done.
10 At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.
11 And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants did besiege it.
12 And Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, and his mother, and his servants, and his princes, and his officers: and the king of Babylon took him in the eighth year of his reign.
13 And he carried out thence all the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king's house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the Lord, as the Lord had said.
14 And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, even ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.
15 And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, those carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16 And all the men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.
17 And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah his father's brother king in his stead, and changed his name to Zedekiah.
18 Zedekiah was twenty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
19 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.
20 For through the anger of the Lord it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
