New International Version
25 Then Pharaoh summoned(A) Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God here in the land.”
26 But Moses said, “That would not be right. The sacrifices we offer the Lord our God would be detestable to the Egyptians.(B) And if we offer sacrifices that are detestable in their eyes, will they not stone us? 27 We must take a three-day journey(C) into the wilderness to offer sacrifices(D) to the Lord our God, as he commands us.”
Exodus 8:25-27
New King James Version
25 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God in the land.”
26 And Moses said, “It is not right to do so, for we would be sacrificing (A)the abomination of the Egyptians to the Lord our God. If we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, then will they not [a]stone us? 27 We will go (B)three days’ journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the Lord our God as (C)He will command us.”
