3 摩西为岳父米甸祭司叶忒罗放羊。一天他领着羊群穿越旷野，来到上帝的山——何烈山。 2 忽然有耶和华的天使在荆棘里的火焰中向他显现。摩西看见荆棘虽然在燃烧，却没有被烧毁。 3 摩西想：“我要过去看这个奇异的景象，荆棘为什么没有被烧掉呢？” 4 耶和华上帝见他要上前观看，就从荆棘丛中呼唤他说：“摩西！摩西！”摩西说：“我在这里。” 5 上帝说：“别再靠近，脱下你脚上的鞋子，因为你所站的地方是圣地。” 6 又说：“我是你祖先的上帝，是亚伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝。”摩西害怕看上帝，就把脸蒙起来。 7 耶和华说：“我已经看见我子民在埃及所受的苦难，听见了他们因监工的压迫而发出的呼求。我知道他们的痛苦。 8 我下来是要从埃及人手中救他们，带他们离开那里，到一个辽阔肥沃的奶蜜之乡，就是现在迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、比利洗人、希未人和耶布斯人居住的地方。 9 现在，以色列人的呼求传到我耳中，我也看到了埃及人怎样压迫他们。 10 现在去吧，我要派你到法老那里，带领我的以色列子民离开埃及。” 11 但摩西对上帝说：“我是谁啊？怎么能去见法老，把以色列人从埃及领出来呢？” 12 上帝说：“我必与你同在，你带百姓离开埃及后，你们必在这座山上事奉我——这将是我派你去的证据。” 13 摩西问上帝：“假如我到以色列人那里，对他们说，‘你们祖先的上帝派我来你们这里。’他们如果问我，‘祂叫什么名字？’我该怎样回答他们呢？” 14 上帝对摩西说：“我是自有永有者。你要这样回答以色列人，‘那位自有永有者派我到你们这里。’” 15 上帝又对摩西说：“你要告诉以色列人是我派遣你到他们那里，我是他们祖先的上帝耶和华，是亚伯拉罕的上帝，以撒的上帝，雅各的上帝。耶和华是我的名字，直到永远，世世代代的人都要这样称呼我。 16 你去招聚以色列的长老，对他们说，‘你们祖先的上帝耶和华，就是亚伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的上帝向我显现，说祂关切你们，知道你们在埃及的遭遇。 17 祂应许要带领你们脱离在埃及所受的苦难，到迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、比利洗人，希未人和耶布斯人住的地方，那里是奶蜜之乡。’ 18 以色列的长老们必定听从你的话，你就跟他们一起去见埃及王，对他说，‘希伯来人的上帝耶和华向我们显现。现在请你容许我们走三天的路程，到旷野去，向我们的上帝耶和华献祭。’ 19 我也知道除非我用大能的手向他施压，不然埃及王不会让你们离开。 20 因此，我必伸手行各种神迹攻击埃及，之后他必让你们离开。 21 我必使埃及人恩待你们，好叫你们不致空手离开埃及。 22 你们的妇女只管向埃及邻居及住在邻居家的妇女索取金器、银器和衣服，给自己的儿女穿戴，你们必这样夺取埃及人的财物。”

3 Y Moisés apacentaba el rebaño de Jetro su suegro, sacerdote de Madián(A); y condujo el rebaño hacia el lado occidental[a] del desierto, y llegó a Horeb(B), el monte de Dios(C). 2 Y se le apareció el ángel del Señor(D) en una llama de fuego, en medio de una[b] zarza(E); y Moisés miró, y he aquí, la zarza ardía en fuego, y la zarza no se consumía. 3 Entonces dijo Moisés: Me acercaré[c] ahora para ver esta maravilla[d]: por qué la zarza no se quema(F). 4 Cuando el Señor vio que él se acercaba[e] para mirar, Dios lo llamó de en medio de la zarza(G), y dijo: ¡Moisés, Moisés! Y él respondió: Heme aquí. 5 Entonces Él dijo: No te acerques aquí; quítate las sandalias de los pies, porque el lugar donde estás parado es tierra santa(H). 6 Y añadió: Yo soy el Dios de tu padre, el Dios de Abraham, el Dios de Isaac y el Dios de Jacob(I). Entonces Moisés cubrió su rostro, porque tenía temor de mirar a Dios(J).
Misión de Moisés
7 Y el Señor dijo: Ciertamente he visto la aflicción de mi pueblo que está en Egipto, y he escuchado su clamor a causa de sus capataces[f], pues estoy consciente de sus sufrimientos(K). 8 Y he descendido para librarlos de mano de los egipcios(L), y para sacarlos[g] de aquella tierra a una tierra buena y espaciosa, a una tierra que mana leche y miel(M), al lugar de los cananeos, de los hititas, de los amorreos, de los ferezeos, de los heveos y de los jebuseos(N). 9 Y ahora, he aquí, el clamor de los hijos de Israel ha llegado hasta mí(O), y además he visto la opresión con que los egipcios los oprimen. 10 Ahora pues, ven y te enviaré a Faraón, para que saques a mi pueblo, los hijos de Israel, de Egipto(P). 11 Pero Moisés dijo a Dios: ¿Quién soy yo(Q) para ir a Faraón, y sacar a los hijos de Israel de Egipto? 12 Y Él dijo: Ciertamente yo estaré contigo(R), y la señal para ti de que soy yo el que te ha enviado será esta: cuando hayas sacado al pueblo de Egipto(S) adoraréis[h] a Dios en este monte(T).
El nombre de Dios
13 Entonces dijo Moisés a Dios: He aquí, si voy a los hijos de Israel, y les digo: «El Dios de vuestros padres me ha enviado a vosotros», tal vez me digan: «¿Cuál es su nombre?», ¿qué les responderé? 14 Y dijo Dios a Moisés: YO SOY[i] EL QUE SOY[j](U). Y añadió: Así dirás a los hijos de Israel: «YO SOY[k] me ha enviado a vosotros». 15 Dijo además Dios a Moisés: Así dirás a los hijos de Israel: «El Señor, el Dios de vuestros padres, el Dios de Abraham, el Dios de Isaac y el Dios de Jacob, me ha enviado a vosotros(V)». Este es mi nombre para siempre, y con él se hará memoria de mí[l] de generación en generación(W).
Instrucciones de Dios a Moisés
16 Ve y reúne a los ancianos de Israel(X), y diles: «El Señor, el Dios de vuestros padres, el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Jacob, se me ha aparecido(Y), diciendo: “Ciertamente os he visitado y he visto lo que se os ha hecho en Egipto(Z). 17 Y he dicho: Os sacaré de la aflicción de Egipto a la tierra del cananeo, del hitita, del amorreo, del ferezeo, del heveo y del jebuseo(AA), a una tierra que mana leche y miel(AB)”». 18 Y ellos escucharán tu voz(AC); y tú irás con los ancianos de Israel al rey de Egipto(AD), y le diréis: «El Señor, el Dios de los hebreos, nos ha salido al encuentro. Ahora pues, permite que vayamos tres días de camino al desierto para ofrecer sacrificios al Señor nuestro Dios(AE)». 19 Pero yo sé que el rey de Egipto no os dejará ir(AF), si no es por la fuerza[m](AG). 20 Pero yo extenderé mi mano y heriré a Egipto(AH) con todos los prodigios que haré en medio de él(AI), y después de esto, os dejará ir(AJ). 21 Y daré a este pueblo gracia ante los ojos de los egipcios; y sucederá que cuando os vayáis, no os iréis con las manos vacías(AK), 22 sino que cada mujer pedirá a su vecina y a la que vive en su casa objetos de plata, objetos de oro y vestidos(AL); y los pondréis sobre vuestros hijos y sobre vuestras hijas. Así despojaréis a los egipcios(AM).

3 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.
2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.
3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.
4 And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.
6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
7 And the Lord said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
10 Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
11 And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.
15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.
16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:
17 And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.
18 And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The Lord God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.
19 And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.
20 And I will stretch out my hand, and smite Egypt with all my wonders which I will do in the midst thereof: and after that he will let you go.
21 And I will give this people favour in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty.
22 But every woman shall borrow of her neighbour, and of her that sojourneth in her house, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: and ye shall put them upon your sons, and upon your daughters; and ye shall spoil the Egyptians.
