蛙災

8 耶和華對摩西說：“你到法老那裡去，對他說：‘耶和華這樣說：“讓我的人民離開這裡，使他們可以事奉我。 2 如果你拒絕讓他們離開這裡，看哪，我必用青蛙擊打你的全境。 3 河裡必滋生青蛙；青蛙必上來，進到你的宮殿和臥房裡去，跳上你的床，進你臣僕的房屋，跳上你人民的身上，進你的爐子和摶麵盆。 4 青蛙也必跳上你、你的人民和臣僕的身上。”’”（本章第1~4節在《馬索拉文本》為7:26~29）

5 耶和華對摩西說：“你要對亞倫說把手中的杖伸在江、河、池之上，使青蛙上到埃及地來。”（本節在《馬索拉文本》為8:1） 6 亞倫把手一伸在埃及的眾水之上，青蛙就上來了，並且遮蓋了埃及地。 7 眾術士也用他們的巫術照樣行了，使青蛙上了埃及地來。

8 法老把摩西和亞倫召了來，說：“請你們懇求耶和華，好叫他使青蛙離開我和我的人民，我就必讓這人民離開這裡，使他們可以向耶和華獻祭。” 9 摩西回答法老：“請指示，我要在甚麼時候為你和你的臣僕，以及你的人民，懇求耶和華除滅青蛙，使青蛙離開你和你的宮殿，只留在河裡呢？”

10 法老說：“明天。”摩西回答：“就照著你的話行吧，好叫你知道沒有神像耶和華我們的　神。 11 青蛙必離開你和你的宮殿、你的臣僕和你的人民，只留在河裡。” 12 於是，摩西和亞倫離開法老走了出來；摩西為了耶和華加在法老身上青蛙的災害向耶和華呼求。 13 耶和華就照著摩西的話行了；在房屋裡、院子裡和田野中的青蛙都死了。 14 有人把青蛙一堆一堆積聚起來，那地就發臭了。 15 法老一見災禍平息了，就心裡剛硬，不肯聽他們的話，就像耶和華所說的。

虱災

16 耶和華對摩西說：“你要對亞倫說：‘伸出你的手杖，擊打地上的塵土，使塵土在埃及全地都變成虱子。’” 17 他們就這樣行了；亞倫伸出手中的杖，擊打地上的塵土，就在人身上和牲畜身上有了虱子；埃及全地所有地上的塵土都變成了虱子。 18 眾術士也用他們的巫術照樣行，要生出虱子來，卻不能辦到；所以在人身上和牲畜身上都有虱子。 19 眾術士就對法老說：“這是　神的手指頭。”法老卻心裡剛硬，不肯聽摩西和亞倫，就像耶和華所說的。

蠅災

20 耶和華對摩西說：“你要清早起來，站在法老面前；看哪，法老到水邊來的時候，你要對他說：‘耶和華這樣說：你要讓我的人民離開這裡，使他們可以事奉我。 21 如果你不讓我的人民離開這裡，看哪，我必叫蒼蠅落在你和你臣僕，以及人民的身上，進到你的宮殿；埃及人的房屋都必充滿蒼蠅，他們所在的地方也是這樣。 22 那日，我必把我人民居住的地方歌珊分別出來，使那裡沒有蒼蠅，為要使你知道在全地上只有我是耶和華。 23 我必把我的人民和你的人民分別出來（按照《馬索拉文本》，“分別出來”作“設定救贖”；兩者在原文非常相似，現參照《七十士譯本》等古譯本翻譯），明天必有這神蹟。’” 24 耶和華就這樣行了；無數的蒼蠅進了法老的宮殿和他臣僕的房屋，並且遍布埃及全地；那地就因為蒼蠅的緣故毀壞了。

Frogs over the Land

8 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Let My people go, so that they may serve Me. 2 However, if you refuse to let them go, hear this: I am going to strike your entire land with frogs. 3 The Nile will swarm with frogs, which will come up and go into your home, into your bedroom and on to your bed, and into the houses of your servants and on your people, and into your ovens and your kneading bowls. 4 So the frogs will come up on you and on your people and all your servants.”’” 5 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the streams and canals, over the pools [among the reeds], and make frogs come up on the land of Egypt.’” 6 So Aaron stretched out his hand [with his staff] over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs came up and covered the land of Egypt. 7 But the magicians (soothsayer-priests) did the same thing with their secret arts and enchantments, and [a]brought up [more] frogs on the land of Egypt.

8 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said, “Plead with the Lord that He may take away the frogs from me and my people; and I will let the people go, so that they may sacrifice to the Lord.” 9 And Moses said to Pharaoh, “I am entirely at your service: when shall I plead [with the Lord] for you and your servants and your people, so that the frogs may leave you and your houses and remain only in the Nile?”

10 Then Pharaoh said, “[b]Tomorrow.” Moses replied, “May it be as you say, so that you may know [without any doubt] and acknowledge that there is no one like the Lord our God. 11 The frogs will leave you and your houses and leave your servants and your people; they will remain only in the Nile.” 12 So Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, and Moses cried out to the Lord [as he had agreed to do] concerning the frogs which God had inflicted on Pharaoh. 13 The Lord did as Moses asked, and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the courtyards and villages, and out of the fields. 14 So they piled them up in heaps, and the land was detestable and stank. 15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was [temporary] relief, he hardened his heart and would not listen or pay attention to them, just as the Lord had said.

The Plagues of Gnats and Insects

16 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the ground, and it will become [biting] gnats (lice) throughout the land of Egypt.’” 17 They did so; Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff and struck the dust of the earth, and there were [biting] gnats on man and animal. All the dust of the land became gnats through all the land of Egypt. 18 The magicians (soothsayer-priests) tried by their secret arts and enchantments to create gnats, but they could not; and there were gnats on man and animal. 19 Then the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the [supernatural] finger of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart was hardened and he would not listen to them, just as the Lord had said.

20 Now the Lord said to Moses, “Get up early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh as he is coming out to the water [of the Nile], and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Let My people go, so that they may serve Me. 21 For if you do not let My people go, hear this: I will send swarms of [bloodsucking] insects on you and on your servants and on your people and into your houses; and the houses of the Egyptians will be full of swarms of insects, as well as the ground on which they stand. 22 But on that day I will separate and set apart the land of Goshen, where My people are living, so that no swarms of insects will be there, so that you may know [without any doubt] and acknowledge that I, the Lord, am in the midst of the earth. 23 I will [c]put a division (distinction) between My people and your people. By tomorrow this sign shall be in evidence.”’” 24 Then the Lord did so. And there came heavy and oppressive swarms of [bloodsucking] insects into the house of Pharaoh and his servants’ houses; in all the land of Egypt the land was corrupted and ruined because of the [great invasion of] insects.

25 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God [here] in the land [of Egypt].” 26 But Moses said, “It is not right [or even possible] to do that, for we will sacrifice to the Lord our God what is repulsive and unacceptable to the Egyptians [that is, animals that the Egyptians consider sacred]. If we sacrifice what is repulsive and unacceptable to the Egyptians, will they not riot and stone us? 27 We must go a three days’ journey into the wilderness and sacrifice to the Lord our God as He commands us.” 28 So Pharaoh said, “I will let you go, so that you may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away. Plead [with your God] for me.” 29 Moses said, “I am going to leave you, and I will urgently petition (pray, entreat) the Lord that the swarms of insects may leave Pharaoh, his servants, and his people tomorrow; only do not let Pharaoh act deceitfully again by not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord.”

30 So Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord [on behalf of Pharaoh]. 31 The Lord did as Moses asked, and removed the swarms of [bloodsucking] insects from Pharaoh, from his servants and from his people; not one remained. 32 But Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also, and he did not let the people go.

10 Y él respondió: Mañana. Entonces Moisés dijo: Sea conforme a tu palabra para que sepas que no hay nadie como el Señor nuestro Dios(I). 11 Y las ranas se alejarán de ti, de tus casas, de tus siervos y de tu pueblo(J); solo quedarán en el Nilo. 12 Entonces Moisés y Aarón salieron de la presencia de Faraón, y Moisés clamó al Señor(K) acerca de las ranas que Él había puesto sobre Faraón. 13 Y el Señor hizo conforme a la palabra de Moisés, y murieron las ranas de las casas, de los patios y de los campos. 14 Y las juntaron en montones, y la tierra se corrompió[k]. 15 Pero al ver Faraón que había alivio, endureció[l] su corazón y no los escuchó, tal como el Señor había dicho(L).

Tercera plaga: los piojos

16 Entonces el Señor dijo a Moisés: Di a Aarón: «Extiende tu vara y golpea el polvo de la tierra para que se convierta en piojos[m] por toda la tierra de Egipto». 17 Y así lo hicieron; y Aarón extendió su mano con su vara, y golpeó el polvo de la tierra, y hubo piojos[n] en hombres y animales. Todo el polvo de la tierra se convirtió en piojos[o] por todo el país de Egipto(M). 18 Y los magos[p] trataron de producir piojos[q] con sus encantamientos[r], pero no pudieron(N); hubo, pues, piojos en hombres y animales. 19 Entonces los magos[s] dijeron a Faraón: Este es el dedo de Dios(O). Pero el corazón de Faraón se endureció[t] y no los escuchó, tal como el Señor había dicho.

Cuarta plaga: los insectos

20 Y el Señor dijo a Moisés: Levántate muy de mañana y ponte delante de Faraón cuando vaya[u] al agua(P), y dile: «Así dice el Señor: “Deja ir a mi pueblo para que me sirva(Q). 21 Porque si no dejas ir a mi pueblo, he aquí, enviaré enjambres de insectos sobre ti, sobre tus siervos, sobre tu pueblo y dentro de tus casas; y las casas de los egipcios se llenarán de enjambres de insectos, y también el suelo sobre el cual están. 22 Mas en aquel día yo pondré aparte la tierra de Gosén en la que mora[v] mi pueblo(R), para que no haya allí enjambres de insectos, a fin de que sepas que yo, el Señor, estoy[w] en medio de la tierra(S); 23 y yo haré distinción[x] entre mi pueblo y tu pueblo. Mañana tendrá lugar esta señal”». 24 Y así lo hizo el Señor. Y entraron grandes[y] enjambres de insectos en la casa de Faraón y en las casas de sus siervos, y en todo el país de Egipto la tierra fue devastada a causa de los enjambres de insectos(T).

25 Entonces llamó Faraón a Moisés y a Aarón, y dijo(U): Id, ofreced sacrificio a vuestro Dios dentro del país(V). 26 Pero Moisés respondió: No conviene que lo hagamos así, porque es abominación para[z] los egipcios lo que sacrificaremos al Señor nuestro Dios(W). Si sacrificamos lo que es abominación para[aa] los egipcios delante de sus ojos, ¿no nos apedrearán? 27 Andaremos una distancia de tres días de camino en el desierto, y ofreceremos sacrificios al Señor nuestro Dios, tal como Él nos manda[ab](X). 28 Y Faraón dijo: Os dejaré ir para que ofrezcáis sacrificio al Señor vuestro Dios en el desierto(Y), solo que no vayáis muy lejos. Orad por mí(Z). 29 Entonces dijo Moisés: He aquí, voy a salir de tu presencia y rogaré al Señor que los enjambres de insectos se alejen mañana de Faraón, de sus siervos y de su pueblo; pero que Faraón no vuelva a obrar con engaño, no dejando ir al pueblo a ofrecer sacrificios al Señor(AA). 30 Y salió Moisés de la presencia de Faraón y oró al Señor(AB). 31 Y el Señor hizo como Moisés le pidió[ac], y quitó los enjambres de insectos de Faraón, de sus siervos y de su pueblo; no quedó ni uno solo. 32 Pero Faraón endureció[ad] su corazón también esta vez y no dejó salir al pueblo(AC).

They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people,(C) and into your ovens and kneading troughs.(D) 4 The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your officials.’”

5 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff(E) over the streams and canals and ponds, and make frogs(F) come up on the land of Egypt.’”

6 So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs(G) came up and covered the land. 7 But the magicians did the same things by their secret arts;(H) they also made frogs come up on the land of Egypt.

8 Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray(I) to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices(J) to the Lord.”

9 Moses said to Pharaoh, “I leave to you the honor of setting the time(K) for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile.”

10 “Tomorrow,” Pharaoh said.

Moses replied, “It will be as you say, so that you may know there is no one like the Lord our God.(L) 11 The frogs will leave you and your houses, your officials and your people; they will remain only in the Nile.”

12 After Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, Moses cried out to the Lord about the frogs he had brought on Pharaoh. 13 And the Lord did what Moses asked.(M) The frogs died in the houses, in the courtyards and in the fields. 14 They were piled into heaps, and the land reeked of them. 15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief,(N) he hardened his heart(O) and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said.

The Plague of Gnats

16 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff(P) and strike the dust of the ground,’ and throughout the land of Egypt the dust will become gnats.” 17 They did this, and when Aaron stretched out his hand with the staff and struck the dust of the ground, gnats(Q) came on people and animals. All the dust throughout the land of Egypt became gnats. 18 But when the magicians(R) tried to produce gnats by their secret arts,(S) they could not.

Since the gnats were on people and animals everywhere, 19 the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger(T) of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart(U) was hard and he would not listen,(V) just as the Lord had said.

The Plague of Flies

20 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Get up early in the morning(W) and confront Pharaoh as he goes to the river and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship(X) me. 21 If you do not let my people go, I will send swarms of flies on you and your officials, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians will be full of flies; even the ground will be covered with them.

22 “‘But on that day I will deal differently with the land of Goshen,(Y) where my people live;(Z) no swarms of flies will be there, so that you will know(AA) that I, the Lord, am in this land. 23 I will make a distinction[b] between my people and your people.(AB) This sign will occur tomorrow.’”

24 And the Lord did this. Dense swarms of flies poured into Pharaoh’s palace and into the houses of his officials; throughout Egypt the land was ruined by the flies.(AC)

25 Then Pharaoh summoned(AD) Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God here in the land.”

26 But Moses said, “That would not be right. The sacrifices we offer the Lord our God would be detestable to the Egyptians.(AE) And if we offer sacrifices that are detestable in their eyes, will they not stone us? 27 We must take a three-day journey(AF) into the wilderness to offer sacrifices(AG) to the Lord our God, as he commands us.”

28 Pharaoh said, “I will let you go to offer sacrifices to the Lord your God in the wilderness, but you must not go very far. Now pray(AH) for me.”

29 Moses answered, “As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the Lord, and tomorrow the flies will leave Pharaoh and his officials and his people. Only let Pharaoh be sure that he does not act deceitfully(AI) again by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.”

30 Then Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord,(AJ) 31 and the Lord did what Moses asked. The flies left Pharaoh and his officials and his people; not a fly remained. 32 But this time also Pharaoh hardened his heart(AK) and would not let the people go.
