蛙災
8 耶和華對摩西說：「你進宮去告訴法老，『耶和華說，讓以色列百姓離開，好事奉我。 2 如果你不聽從，我就使青蛙來毀壞你的國土。 3 尼羅河將充滿青蛙，牠們要跳到你的宮裡、臥室和床鋪上，你的臣僕和百姓家裡，你的爐灶和揉麵盆裡。 4 青蛙還會跳到你和你的百姓及眾臣僕身上。』」
5 耶和華對摩西說：「你叫亞倫向埃及各地的江河、溪流和池塘伸杖，使青蛙遍佈埃及全境。」 6 亞倫伸杖，青蛙就遍佈了埃及全境。 7 巫師也行邪術如法炮製，叫青蛙上來。 8 法老召摩西和亞倫進宮，對他們說：「你們快求耶和華，使這些青蛙離開我們，我便讓百姓去獻祭給耶和華。」 9 摩西對法老說：「好吧，你要我在什麼時候為你以及你的臣僕和百姓禱告，叫這些青蛙離開你和你的宮殿，只留在河裡呢？」 10 法老說：「明天。」摩西說：「就照你說的，這樣你就知道沒有神明能比得上我們的上帝耶和華。 11 明天青蛙會離開你、你的宮殿、你的臣僕和百姓，只留在河裡。」 12 摩西和亞倫離開法老後，摩西就為法老所受的蛙災一事向耶和華呼求。 13 耶和華答應了摩西的祈求。凡在房屋內、院子裡和田野中的青蛙都死了。 14 百姓把青蛙的屍體堆積起來，埃及全境都充滿了死青蛙的腐臭氣味。 15 法老看見災難已經過去，便又硬著心，不肯聽從摩西和亞倫的話，正如耶和華所言。
虱災
16 耶和華對摩西說：「你吩咐亞倫用杖擊打地上的塵土，使埃及境內的塵土變成蝨子。」 17 他們就照上帝的吩咐去做，亞倫伸杖擊打地上的塵土，蝨子就跑到人和牲畜身上，全埃及的塵土都變成了蝨子。 18 巫師們也試圖用邪術變出蝨子來，卻無法成功。埃及的百姓和牲畜身上長滿了蝨子。 19 巫師們對法老說：「這是上帝的作為。」法老的心卻仍然剛硬，不肯答應摩西和亞倫的要求，正如耶和華所言。
蒼蠅之災
20 耶和華對摩西說：「明天清早，你趁法老去河邊時去見他，告訴他，『耶和華說，放我的子民走，他們好事奉我， 21 不然，我就叫無數的蒼蠅飛到你、你的臣僕和百姓身上，進到你們各自的家中，使埃及遍地佈滿蒼蠅。 22 但那天，我子民居住的歌珊卻絲毫不會受攪擾，這樣你就知道我耶和華主宰天下。 23 我要把我的子民跟你的百姓分開，明天我必行這神蹟。』」 24 耶和華果然這樣行。密密麻麻的蒼蠅飛進法老的王宮和他臣僕的家裡，埃及全國都受到蒼蠅的毀壞。 25 法老召見摩西和亞倫，對他們說：「你們可以去獻祭給你們的上帝，不過要在我的境內舉行。」 26 摩西說：「這怎麼行？我們用來獻祭的東西，是埃及人最憎惡的。如果我們在埃及境內舉行這樣的儀式，他們一定會拿石頭打死我們。 27 我們要照我們上帝耶和華的吩咐離開這裡，走三天的路程到曠野去獻祭給祂。」 28 法老說：「好，我讓你們去曠野獻祭給你們的上帝耶和華，只是不要走得太遠。現在為我祈求吧。」 29 摩西說：「我離開這裡就去祈求耶和華，使蒼蠅明天就離開你及你的臣僕和百姓，但這次你不可再食言，阻止以色列人去向耶和華獻祭。」 30 摩西說完以後，便離開王宮，去祈求耶和華。 31 耶和華就照摩西的祈求，使成群的蒼蠅離開法老及其臣僕和百姓，一隻也沒有留下。 32 這一次，法老又硬著心，不肯讓百姓離開埃及。

8 Poi l'Eterno disse a Mosè: «Va'dal Faraone e digli: "Così dice l'Eterno: Lascia andare il mio popolo perché mi serva.
2 se rifiuti di lasciarlo andare, ecco, io colpirò l'intero tuo paese col flagello delle rane.
3 Così il fiume brulicherà di rane, ed esse saliranno ed entreranno nella tua casa, nella camera dove dormi, sul tuo letto, nelle case dei tuoi servi e fra il tuo popolo, nei tuoi forni e nelle tue madie.
4 E le rane verranno contro di te, contro il tuo popolo e contro tutti i tuoi servi"».
5 Poi l'Eterno disse a Mosè: «Di' ad Aaronne: "Stendi la tua mano col tuo bastone sui fiumi. sui canali e sugli stagni e fa' salire le rane sul paese d'Egitto"».
6 Così Aaronne stese la sua mano sulle acque d'Egitto, e le rane salirono e coprirono il paese d'Egitto.
7 Ma i maghi fecero la stessa cosa con le loro arti occulte e fecero salire le rane sul paese d'Egitto.
8 Allora il Faraone chiamò Mosè e Aaronne e disse loro: «Pregate l'Eterno che allontani le rane da me e dal mio popolo, e io lascerò andare il popolo, perché sacrifichi all'Eterno».
9 Mosè disse al Faraone: «Fammi l'onore di dirmi quando devo intercedere per te, per i tuoi servi e per il tuo popolo, che l'Eterno distrugga le rane intorno a te e alle tue case. e rimangano solo nel fiume».
10 Egli rispose: «Domani». E Mosè disse: «Sarà, fatto come tu dici, affinché tu sappia che non vi è alcuno come l'Eterno, il nostro DIO.
11 E le rane si allontaneranno da te, dalle tue case, dai tuoi servi e dal tuo popolo; esse rimarranno solamente nel fiume».
12 Mosè ed Aaronne uscirono dal Faraone; e Mosè implorò l'Eterno riguardo alle rane che aveva mandato contro il Faraone.
13 E l'Eterno fece secondo la parola di Mosè, e le rane morirono nelle case, nei cortili e nei campi.
14 Le radunarono quindi a mucchi e il paese divenne maleodorante.
15 Ma quando il Faraone vide che vi era un po' di sollievo, indurì il suo cuore e non diede loro ascolto, come l'Eterno aveva detto.
16 L'Eterno disse quindi a Mosè' Di'ad Aaronne: "Stendi il tuo bastone e percuoti la polvere della terra, ed essa diventerà zanzare per tutto il paese d'Egitto"».
17 Ed essi fecero così, Aaronne stese la sua mano col suo bastone, percosse la polvere della terra e vi furono zanzare sugli uomini e sugli animali; tutta la polvere della terra diventò zanzare in tutto il paese d'Egitto.
18 Ora i maghi cercarono di fare lo stesso con le loro arti occulte per produrre le zanzare, ma non poterono. Le zanzare furono dunque sugli uomini e sugli animali.
19 Allora i maghi dissero al Faraone: «Questo è il dito di DIO». Ma il cuore del Faraone si indurì ed egli non diede loro ascolto, come l'Eterno aveva loro detto.
20 Poi l'Eterno disse a Mosè: «Alzati di buon mattino e presentati al Faraone, come egli esce per andare verso l'acqua; e digli: "Così dice l'Eterno: Lascia il mio popolo, perché mi possa servire.
21 Ma se non lasci andare il mio popolo ecco io manderò su di te, sui tuoi servi, sul tuo popolo e nelle tue case sciami di mosche; le case degli Egiziani saranno piene di sciami di mosche, e così sarà la terra su cui stanno.
22 Ma in quel giorno io separerò il paese di Goscen, dove abita il mio popolo; e li non ci saranno sciami di mosche, affinché tu sappia che io sono l'Eterno in mezzo al paese.
23 lo farò una distinzione fra il mio popolo e il tuo popolo. Domani avverrà questo miracolo"».
24 E l'Eterno fece così; vennero folti sciami di mosche in casa del Faraone e nelle case dei suoi servi, e in tutto il paese d'Egitto la terra fu devastata dagli sciami di mosche.
25 Allora il Faraone chiamò Mosè ed Aaronne e disse: «Andate. sacrificate al vostro DIO nel paese».
26 Ma Mosè rispose: «Non si può fare questo, poiché faremmo all'Eterno, il nostro DIO, sacrifici che sono un abominio per gli Egiziani. Ecco, facendo sotto i loro occhi dei sacrifici che sono un abominio per gli Egiziani non ci lapideranno?
27 Andremo nel deserto per un cammino di tre giorni e sacrificheremo all'Eterno, il nostro DIO, come egli ci ordinerà».
28 Il Faraone disse: «Io vi lascerò andare perché sacrifichiate all'Eterno, il vostro DIO, nel deserto; soltanto, non andate troppo lontano; pregate per me»
29 Mosè disse: «Ecco, io esco da te e pregherò l'Eterno e domani gli sciami di mosche si allontaneranno dal Faraone, dai suoi servi e dal suo popolo; basta però che il Faraone non ci prenda piú in giro, impedendo al popolo di andare a sacrificare all'Eterno».
30 Mosè uscì quindi dalla presenza del Faraone e pregò l'Eterno.
31 E l'Eterno fece secondo la parola di Mosè e allontanò gli sciami di mosche da Faraone, dai suoi servi e dal suo popolo; non ne rimase neppure una.
32 Ma anche questa volta il Faraone indurì il suo cuore e non lasciò andare il popolo.

8 And the Lord spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2 And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:
3 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs:
4 And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.
5 And the Lord spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.
6 And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
7 And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.
8 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the Lord, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the Lord.
9 And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?
10 And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the Lord our God.
11 And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.
12 And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto the Lord because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh.
13 And the Lord did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.
14 And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.
15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
16 And the Lord said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
17 And they did so; for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth, and it became lice in man, and in beast; all the dust of the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
18 And the magicians did so with their enchantments to bring forth lice, but they could not: so there were lice upon man, and upon beast.
19 Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
20 And the Lord said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh; lo, he cometh forth to the water; and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
21 Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.
22 And I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there; to the end thou mayest know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.
23 And I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be.
24 And the Lord did so; and there came a grievous swarm of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt: the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies.
25 And Pharaoh called for Moses and for Aaron, and said, Go ye, sacrifice to your God in the land.
26 And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the Lord our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?
27 We will go three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the Lord our God, as he shall command us.
28 And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness; only ye shall not go very far away: intreat for me.
29 And Moses said, Behold, I go out from thee, and I will intreat the Lord that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, to morrow: but let not Pharaoh deal deceitfully any more in not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord.
30 And Moses went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the Lord.
31 And the Lord did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there remained not one.
32 And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.

8 1 [a]Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship(A) me. 2 If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs(B) on your whole country. 3 The Nile will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people,(C) and into your ovens and kneading troughs.(D) 4 The frogs will come up on you and your people and all your officials.’”
5 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your hand with your staff(E) over the streams and canals and ponds, and make frogs(F) come up on the land of Egypt.’”
6 So Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt, and the frogs(G) came up and covered the land. 7 But the magicians did the same things by their secret arts;(H) they also made frogs come up on the land of Egypt.
8 Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray(I) to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices(J) to the Lord.”
9 Moses said to Pharaoh, “I leave to you the honor of setting the time(K) for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile.”
10 “Tomorrow,” Pharaoh said.
Moses replied, “It will be as you say, so that you may know there is no one like the Lord our God.(L) 11 The frogs will leave you and your houses, your officials and your people; they will remain only in the Nile.”
12 After Moses and Aaron left Pharaoh, Moses cried out to the Lord about the frogs he had brought on Pharaoh. 13 And the Lord did what Moses asked.(M) The frogs died in the houses, in the courtyards and in the fields. 14 They were piled into heaps, and the land reeked of them. 15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief,(N) he hardened his heart(O) and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said.
The Plague of Gnats
16 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell Aaron, ‘Stretch out your staff(P) and strike the dust of the ground,’ and throughout the land of Egypt the dust will become gnats.” 17 They did this, and when Aaron stretched out his hand with the staff and struck the dust of the ground, gnats(Q) came on people and animals. All the dust throughout the land of Egypt became gnats. 18 But when the magicians(R) tried to produce gnats by their secret arts,(S) they could not.
Since the gnats were on people and animals everywhere, 19 the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger(T) of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart(U) was hard and he would not listen,(V) just as the Lord had said.
The Plague of Flies
20 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Get up early in the morning(W) and confront Pharaoh as he goes to the river and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship(X) me. 21 If you do not let my people go, I will send swarms of flies on you and your officials, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians will be full of flies; even the ground will be covered with them.
22 “‘But on that day I will deal differently with the land of Goshen,(Y) where my people live;(Z) no swarms of flies will be there, so that you will know(AA) that I, the Lord, am in this land. 23 I will make a distinction[b] between my people and your people.(AB) This sign will occur tomorrow.’”
24 And the Lord did this. Dense swarms of flies poured into Pharaoh’s palace and into the houses of his officials; throughout Egypt the land was ruined by the flies.(AC)
25 Then Pharaoh summoned(AD) Moses and Aaron and said, “Go, sacrifice to your God here in the land.”
26 But Moses said, “That would not be right. The sacrifices we offer the Lord our God would be detestable to the Egyptians.(AE) And if we offer sacrifices that are detestable in their eyes, will they not stone us? 27 We must take a three-day journey(AF) into the wilderness to offer sacrifices(AG) to the Lord our God, as he commands us.”
28 Pharaoh said, “I will let you go to offer sacrifices to the Lord your God in the wilderness, but you must not go very far. Now pray(AH) for me.”
29 Moses answered, “As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the Lord, and tomorrow the flies will leave Pharaoh and his officials and his people. Only let Pharaoh be sure that he does not act deceitfully(AI) again by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.”
30 Then Moses left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord,(AJ) 31 and the Lord did what Moses asked. The flies left Pharaoh and his officials and his people; not a fly remained. 32 But this time also Pharaoh hardened his heart(AK) and would not let the people go.
