¹⁹對摩西說：「求你和我們說話，我們必聽；不要神和我們說話，恐怕我們死亡。」 ²⁰摩西對百姓說：「不要懼怕，因為神降臨是要試驗你們，叫你們時常敬畏他，不致犯罪。」 ²¹於是百姓遠遠地站立，摩西就挨近神所在的幽暗之中。

¹⁹and said to Moses, ^(A)“You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.” ²⁰^(B)Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to ^(C)test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.” ²¹The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the ^(D)thick darkness where God was.
