³⁷就是這位摩西曾對以色列人說，『上帝要在你們中間興起一位像我一樣的先知。』 ³⁸這位摩西曾在曠野與以色列的會眾——我們的祖先在一起，又在西奈山上與向他傳信息的天使在一起，並且領受了生命之道傳給我們。

³⁹「可是我們的祖先不聽從他，甚至棄絕他，心裡對埃及戀戀不捨。

³⁷“This is the Moses who told the Israelites, ‘God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your own people.’^[a]^(A) ³⁸He was in the assembly in the wilderness, with the angel^(B) who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors;^(C) and he received living words^(D) to pass on to us.^(E)
