³⁶“大卫在世时遵行上帝的旨意，最后死了，葬在他祖先那里，肉身也朽坏了。 ³⁷然而，上帝使之复活的那位却没有朽坏。 ³⁸所以，弟兄们，你们应该知道，赦罪的信息是借着耶稣传给你们的。

³⁶“Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep;^(A) he was buried with his ancestors^(B) and his body decayed. ³⁷But the one whom God raised from the dead^(C) did not see decay.

³⁸“Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.^(D)
