40 于是砍断锚索,把锚丢在海里,松开舵绳,升起前帆,顺着风势驶向那沙滩。 41 可是,遇到两流交汇的水域,就在那里搁了浅,船头卡在那里不能动弹,船尾被大浪撞裂了。
42 士兵们想把囚犯全杀掉,怕有人乘机游泳逃走。

Acts 27:40-42
New International Version
40 Cutting loose the anchors,(A) they left them in the sea and at the same time untied the ropes that held the rudders. Then they hoisted the foresail to the wind and made for the beach. 41 But the ship struck a sandbar and ran aground. The bow stuck fast and would not move, and the stern was broken to pieces by the pounding of the surf.(B)
42 The soldiers planned to kill the prisoners to prevent any of them from swimming away and escaping.
