3 Then there appeared to them [a]divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And (A)they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began (B)to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5 And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, (C)devout men, from every nation under heaven.

3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit(A) and began to speak in other tongues[a](B) as the Spirit enabled them.
5 Now there were staying in Jerusalem God-fearing(C) Jews from every nation under heaven.
