14 有一次在以哥念，保罗和巴拿巴同样进了犹太人的会堂讲道，结果有一大群犹太人和希腊人信了。 2 但那些不肯信从的犹太人怂恿外邦人，使他们心里敌视弟兄们。 3 于是保罗和巴拿巴就住了很久，靠着主[a]放胆传道。主藉着他们的手行了神迹和奇事，见证了他恩典的话语。 4 以哥念城的民众就分裂了，有的赞同犹太人，有的赞同使徒们。 5 那时，外邦人和犹太人，与他们的首领们一同企图凌辱[b]使徒们，要用石头砸死他们。 6 两个人知道了，就逃往利考尼亚地区的路司得和代尔贝两个城以及周围地区， 7 在那里继续传福音。
在路司得被误认为是神
8 在路司得城里坐着一个双脚残废的人，他生来[c]就瘸腿，从来没有走过路； 9 这个人听保罗讲道。保罗注视着他，见他存着信可得救治， 10 就大声说：“你起来，用你的两脚站直！”那个人就跳起来，开始走路了。

19 但有些犹太人从安提阿和以哥念来到，挑唆众人，用石头砸了保罗。他们以为他已经死了，就把他拖到城外。 20 但门徒们围绕他的时候，他站了起来，进到城里。第二天，他与巴拿巴一起离开，前往代尔贝去。

21 保罗和巴拿巴在代尔贝城传了福音，使许多人成为门徒以后，回到路司得、以哥念、安提阿， 22 坚固门徒们的心，鼓励他们持守信仰，说：“我们进入神的国，必须经过很多患难。”
23 保罗和巴拿巴在各教会为他们选出了长老，祷告和禁食以后，把他们交托给他们所信靠的主。 24 两个人经过皮西迪亚地区，来到潘菲利亚省， 25 在佩尔格传了道，就下到阿塔利亚， 26 从那里坐船回安提阿。当初，就是在这里，他们被交托在神的恩典中，去从事如今那已完成的工作。 27 他们到了，就召集教会，传讲了神与他们所做的一切事，以及神怎样为外邦人打开了信仰之门。 28 两个人在那里与门徒们一起住了不少时候。

5 當時，有些外族人、猶太人及其官長企圖惡待使徒，用石頭打他們。 6 保羅和巴拿巴得知後，就逃往呂高尼的路司得和特庇二城並周圍的地區， 7 在那裡繼續傳揚福音。
在路司得和特庇傳福音
8 路司得城裡坐著一個天生雙腳無力、不能走路的瘸子。 9 他也聽保羅講道。保羅定睛看他，見這個人有信心，可以得醫治， 10 就高聲對他說：「起來，兩腳站直！」那人就跳了起來，開始行走。 11 周圍的人看見保羅所行的，就用呂高尼話大聲說：「神明化成人形下凡了！」 12 於是，他們稱巴拿巴為希臘天神宙斯，又因為保羅是主要的發言人，就稱他為希耳米[a]。 13 城外宙斯廟的祭司也牽著牛、拿著花環來到城門口，要和眾人一同向使徒獻祭。
14 巴拿巴和保羅見此情形，就撕裂衣服，衝進人群中，大聲喊著說： 15 「各位，你們為什麼這樣做？我們和你們一樣只是凡人！我們來這裡是要向你們傳福音，叫你們離棄這些虛妄的事，轉向那創造天、地、海和其中萬物的永活上帝。 16 在以往的世代，祂雖然容許萬國各行其道， 17 卻從未停止用美善的事證實自己的存在。祂常施恩惠，降下甘霖，賞賜豐年，又叫你們衣食飽足，滿心喜樂。」
18 保羅和巴拿巴說了這些話，才勉強制止住向他們獻祭的人群。 19 有些猶太人從安提阿和以哥念來煽動民眾，他們用石頭打保羅，以為他死了，就把他拖到城外。 20 當門徒圍過來看他的時候，他站了起來，走回城裡。第二天，保羅和巴拿巴前往特庇。

21 他們向那裡的人傳福音，有很多人作了門徒。然後，他們又回到路司得、以哥念和安提阿， 22 堅固各地門徒的信心，鼓勵他們要持守信仰，並且說：「我們在進入上帝國的道路上必經歷許多苦難。」 23 二人又為每個教會選立長老，禁食禱告，把他們交託給所信靠的主。
24 後來，二人又經過彼西底，來到旁非利亞， 25 在別加講道，然後下到亞大利， 26 從那裡乘船回安提阿。當初就是在安提阿，他們被交託在上帝的恩手中去傳道，如今工作已經完成了。

Paul and Barnabas Preach in Iconium
14 In the city of Iconium, Paul and Barnabas went into the Jewish place of worship. They preached with power and many people became Christians. These people were Jews and Greeks. 2 But the Jews who did not want to believe worked against those who were not Jews. They made them turn against the Christians. 3 Paul and Barnabas stayed there a long time preaching with the strength the Lord gave. God helped them to do powerful works when they preached which showed He was with them. 4 The people of the city were divided. Some were on the side of the Jews. Some were on the side of the missionaries. 5 All the people and the leaders tried to hurt them and throw stones at them.
Paul and Barnabas Go to Lystra
6 When Paul and Barnabas heard this, they got away and went to the cities of Lystra and Derbe in Lycaonia and to the country close by. 7 They stayed there and kept on preaching the Good News. 8 There was a man in Lystra who had never walked from the time he was born. 9 This man listened as Paul spoke. Paul watched him. He saw that the man believed he could be healed. 10 Calling to him with a loud voice, Paul said, “Stand up on your feet!” The man jumped up and walked around.
Paul and Barnabas Are Called Gods, Then Stoned
11 The people saw what Paul did. They called with loud voices in the language of the people of Lycaonia, “The gods have become like men and have come down to us.” 12 They said that Barnabas was Jupiter. Paul was called Mercury because he spoke more than Barnabas. 13 The god of Jupiter was in a building near the gate leading into the city. The religious leader of that place brought cattle and flowers to the gate. He and many other people wanted to burn these as gifts in an act of worship to Paul and Barnabas.
14 When Paul and Barnabas heard this, they ran among the people. They tore their clothes and cried out, 15 “Why are you doing this? We are only men with feelings like yours. We preach the Good News that you should turn from these empty things to the living God. He made the heavens and the earth and the sea and everything in them. 16 Long ago He allowed all people to live the way they wanted to. 17 Even then God did not leave you without something to see of Him. He did good. He gave you rain from heaven and much food. He made you happy.” 18 Even with these words it was hard for Paul and Barnabas to keep the people from burning cattle in an act of worship to them.
19 By this time some Jews from the cities of Antioch and Iconium came. They turned the minds of the people against Paul and Barnabas and told them to throw stones at Paul. After they threw stones at him, they dragged him out of the city thinking he was dead.
Paul and Barnabas Preach to the Christians on Their Return Trip to Antioch
20 As the Christians gathered around Paul, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he went with Barnabas to Derbe. 21 In that city they preached the Good News and taught many people. Then they returned to the cities of Lystra and Iconium and Antioch. 22 In each city they helped the Christians to be strong and true to the faith. They told them, “We must suffer many hard things to get into the holy nation of God.”
23 In every church they chose leaders for them. They went without food during that time so they could pray better. Paul and Barnabas prayed for the leaders, giving them over to the Lord in Whom they believed.
24 When they had gone through the city of Pisidia, they came to the city of Pamphylia. 25 Then they preached the Good News in the city of Perga. After this they went down to the city of Attalia. 26 From there they went by ship to Antioch where they had been given to the Lord for His work. The work of this trip was done.
27 When they got there, they called the church together. They told them everything God had done for them. They told how God had opened the door for the people who were not Jews to have faith. 28 They stayed there with the followers a long time.

14 At Iconium(A) Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue.(B) There they spoke so effectively that a great number(C) of Jews and Greeks believed. 2 But the Jews who refused to believe stirred up the other Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers.(D) 3 So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly(E) for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.(F) 4 The people of the city were divided; some sided with the Jews, others with the apostles.(G) 5 There was a plot afoot among both Gentiles and Jews,(H) together with their leaders, to mistreat them and stone them.(I) 6 But they found out about it and fled(J) to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country, 7 where they continued to preach(K) the gospel.(L)
In Lystra and Derbe
8 In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth(M) and had never walked. 9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed(N) 10 and called out, “Stand up on your feet!”(O) At that, the man jumped up and began to walk.(P)
11 When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in human form!”(Q) 12 Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul they called Hermes because he was the chief speaker.(R) 13 The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought bulls and wreaths to the city gates because he and the crowd wanted to offer sacrifices to them.
14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul heard of this, they tore their clothes(S) and rushed out into the crowd, shouting: 15 “Friends, why are you doing this? We too are only human,(T) like you. We are bringing you good news,(U) telling you to turn from these worthless things(V) to the living God,(W) who made the heavens and the earth(X) and the sea and everything in them.(Y) 16 In the past, he let(Z) all nations go their own way.(AA) 17 Yet he has not left himself without testimony:(AB) He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons;(AC) he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy.”(AD) 18 Even with these words, they had difficulty keeping the crowd from sacrificing to them.
19 Then some Jews(AE) came from Antioch and Iconium(AF) and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul(AG) and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead. 20 But after the disciples(AH) had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe.
The Return to Antioch in Syria
21 They preached the gospel(AI) in that city and won a large number(AJ) of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium(AK) and Antioch, 22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith.(AL) “We must go through many hardships(AM) to enter the kingdom of God,” they said. 23 Paul and Barnabas appointed elders[a](AN) for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting,(AO) committed them to the Lord,(AP) in whom they had put their trust. 24 After going through Pisidia, they came into Pamphylia,(AQ) 25 and when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia.
26 From Attalia they sailed back to Antioch,(AR) where they had been committed to the grace of God(AS) for the work they had now completed.(AT) 27 On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them(AU) and how he had opened a door(AV) of faith to the Gentiles. 28 And they stayed there a long time with the disciples.(AW)

14 And it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake, that a great multitude both of the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
2 But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles, and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.
3 Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
4 But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.
5 And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,
6 They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:
7 And there they preached the gospel.
8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked:
9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
11 And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
12 And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
13 Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
14 Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
16 Who in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
17 Nevertheless he left not himself without witness, in that he did good, and gave us rain from heaven, and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.
18 And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
19 And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
20 Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.
21 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
23 And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.
24 And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
25 And when they had preached the word in Perga, they went down into Attalia:
26 And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they fulfilled.
27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
28 And there they abode long time with the disciples.
