⁶有一個問那身穿細麻衣、站在河水以上的人，說：“這些奇異的事的結局幾時才到呢？” ⁷我聽見那身穿細麻衣、站在河水以上的人，向天舉起左右手，指著活到永遠的主起誓，說：“要經過一載、二載、半載（“一載、二載、半載”或譯：“一個時期、多個時期、半個時期”）；在他們完全粉碎聖民的勢力的時候，這一切事就都要完成。” ⁸我聽見，卻不明白，我就問：“我主啊，這些事的結局是怎樣呢？”

⁶And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

⁷And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

⁸And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things?

⁶One of them said to the man clothed in linen,^(A) who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”^(B)

⁷The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand^(C) and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever,^(D) saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time.^[a]^(E) When the power of the holy people^(F) has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.^(G)”
