54 耶和华说：“不生育、未生养的妇人啊，要欢唱；
未曾生产的女子啊，
要高歌、欢呼；
因为没有丈夫的比有丈夫的儿女更多。
2 要扩大你的帐篷，
尽量拉宽帐篷的幔子，
放长绳子，钉牢橛子。
3 因为你要向左右扩展，
你的后裔要统治列国，
使荒凉的城邑重新有人居住。
4 “不要惧怕，因为你不会再受羞辱；
不要怕，因为你不会再受凌辱。
你必忘记年轻时的羞辱，
不再想起寡居时的耻辱。
5 因为造你的是你的丈夫，
祂名叫万军之耶和华；
救赎你的是以色列的圣者，
祂是普天下的上帝。
6 耶和华要召你回来，
如同召一个遭遗弃、
心中忧伤的年轻妻子。
这是你的上帝说的。
7 我丢弃了你片刻，
但我要怀着极大的怜悯接你回来。
8 我盛怒之下暂时掩面不理你，
但我要以永远不变的慈爱怜悯你。
这是你的救赎主耶和华说的。
9 “这就像挪亚的时代，
我怎样起誓不让挪亚时代的洪水再淹没大地，
我也照样起誓不再向你发怒，
也不再斥责你。
10 大山可以挪开，
小山可以迁移，
但我的慈爱必不离开你，
我平安的约也不会更改。
这是怜悯你的耶和华说的。
11 “困苦不堪、饱经风雨、
得不着安慰的城啊，
我要以彩石作你的地基，
用蓝宝石来建造你，
12 用红宝石建你的城楼、
水晶造你的城门、
宝石建你的城墙。
13 你的儿女都必受耶和华的训诲，
安享太平。
14 你必因公义而坚立，
再不会受欺压，
也不会担惊受怕，
因为恐惧不会临近你。
15 倘若有人来攻打你，
那必不是我的旨意。
攻打你的必然失败。
16 看啊，是我造了扇旺炭火、
铸造合用兵器的铁匠，
是我造了毁灭者。
17 为攻击你而造的兵器必不能奏效，
你必驳倒控告你的人。
这是耶和华众仆人的产业，
是我给他们的胜利[a]。
这是耶和华说的。”

54 Isaías dijo:
«Jerusalén,
tú que nunca has sido madre
ni has podido tener hijos,
lanza gritos de alegría,
entona alegres canciones,
porque Dios dice:
“Jerusalén, mujer abandonada,
tendrás más hijos que la mujer casada”.
2-3 »Nación de Israel,
agranda tu tienda de campaña,
extiende las cuerdas
y clava bien las estacas,
porque te vas a extender
de un extremo al otro.
Tus hijos conquistarán muchas naciones
y ocuparán las ciudades
que ahora están deshabitadas.
4 »No tengas miedo,
pues no te insultarán
ni pasarás vergüenza.
Cuando eras joven
pasaste la vergüenza
de no tener hijos.
Después te quedaste sola
como una viuda.
Pero no volverás a acordarte
de tu vergüenza,
5 porque Dios es tu creador
y te tomará por esposa.
»El Dios santo de Israel
es tu salvador;
es el Dios todopoderoso
y reina en toda la tierra.
6 »Pueblo de Israel,
tú eras como una esposa joven,
que quedó abandonada y afligida,
pero tu Dios vuelve a llamarte
y te dice:
7 “Sólo por un momento
te dejé abandonada,
pero con gran ternura
te aceptaré de nuevo.
8 ”Cuando me enojé contigo,
me alejé de ti por un poco de tiempo,
pero muy pronto tuve compasión de ti
y te manifesté mi amor eterno”».

«Después que cubrí toda la tierra
con las aguas del diluvio,
yo le juré a Noé:
“Nunca más habrá otro diluvio”.

10 Las montañas podrán cambiar de lugar,
los cerros podrán venirse abajo,
pero mi amor por ti no cambiará.
Siempre estaré a tu lado
y juntos viviremos en paz.
Te juro que tendré compasión de ti.

11-12 »Ciudad de Jerusalén,
ahora estás oprimida y atormentada,
y no hay nadie que te consuele.
Pero yo construiré con piedras preciosas

tus torres y tus puertas.
13 Yo instruiré a tus habitantes,

14 La justicia te hará fuerte,

16 »Mira, yo he creado al herrero

54 “Sing, barren woman,(A)
you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy,(B)
you who were never in labor;(C)
because more are the children(D) of the desolate(E) woman
than of her who has a husband,(F)”
says the Lord.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent,(G)
stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
strengthen your stakes.(H)
3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left;
your descendants(I) will dispossess nations(J)
and settle in their desolate(K) cities.
4 “Do not be afraid;(L) you will not be put to shame.(M)
Do not fear disgrace;(N) you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth(O)
and remember no more the reproach(P) of your widowhood.(Q)
5 For your Maker(R) is your husband(S)—
the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One(T) of Israel is your Redeemer;(U)
he is called the God of all the earth.(V)
6 The Lord will call you back(W)
as if you were a wife deserted(X) and distressed in spirit—
a wife who married young,(Y)
only to be rejected,” says your God.
7 “For a brief moment(Z) I abandoned(AA) you,
but with deep compassion(AB) I will bring you back.(AC)
8 In a surge of anger(AD)
I hid(AE) my face from you for a moment,
but with everlasting kindness(AF)
I will have compassion(AG) on you,”
says the Lord your Redeemer.(AH)
9 “To me this is like the days of Noah,
when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth.(AI)
So now I have sworn(AJ) not to be angry(AK) with you,
never to rebuke(AL) you again.
10 Though the mountains be shaken(AM)
and the hills be removed,
yet my unfailing love(AN) for you will not be shaken(AO)
nor my covenant(AP) of peace(AQ) be removed,”
says the Lord, who has compassion(AR) on you.
11 “Afflicted(AS) city, lashed by storms(AT) and not comforted,(AU)
I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise,[a](AV)
your foundations(AW) with lapis lazuli.(AX)
12 I will make your battlements of rubies,
your gates(AY) of sparkling jewels,
and all your walls of precious stones.
13 All your children will be taught by the Lord,(AZ)
and great will be their peace.(BA)
14 In righteousness(BB) you will be established:(BC)
Tyranny(BD) will be far from you;
you will have nothing to fear.(BE)
Terror(BF) will be far removed;
it will not come near you.
15 If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing;
whoever attacks you will surrender(BG) to you.
16 “See, it is I who created the blacksmith(BH)
who fans the coals into flame
and forges a weapon(BI) fit for its work.
And it is I who have created the destroyer(BJ) to wreak havoc;
17 no weapon forged against you will prevail,(BK)
and you will refute(BL) every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants(BM) of the Lord,
and this is their vindication(BN) from me,”
declares the Lord.
