主的仆人
42 “看啊，我所扶持、所拣选、所喜悦的仆人，
我已将我的灵赐给祂，
祂必将正义带给万邦。
2 祂不喧嚷，不呼喊，
不在街上高声说话。
3 压伤的芦苇，祂不折断；
将残的灯火，祂不吹灭。
祂必信实地带来正义。
4 祂不灰心也不沮丧，
直到祂在地上设立正义。
四海都渴望祂的训诲。”
5 创造诸天、铺展穹苍、
设立大地和地上的一切、
赐给世人生命气息和灵性的耶和华上帝说：
6 “我耶和华凭公义呼召你，
我必扶持你，保护你，
使你做我与众民立约的中保、
成为列国的光，
7 使你开瞎子的眼睛、
从监牢中释放囚犯、
领出陷在黑暗中的人。
8 我是耶和华，这就是我的名字。
我不会把我的荣耀给假神，
也不会把我当受的赞美给雕刻的偶像。
9 看啊，以前的预言都已应验，
我现在要宣告新的预言，
把还未发生的事告诉你们。”

10 航海的和海中的一切、
众海岛和岛上的居民啊，
你们要向耶和华高唱新歌，
从地极赞美祂。
11 旷野和其中的城邑以及基达人居住的村庄，
要一同扬声颂赞。
西拉的居民要歌唱，
在山顶欢呼。
12 愿他们把荣耀归给耶和华，
在众海岛上颂赞祂。
13 耶和华像出征的勇士，
像斗志激昂的战士。
祂必高呼吶喊，战胜仇敌。
上帝应许帮助以色列人
14 “我已沉默多时，我克制不语，
现在我要发出急促的呐喊，
像分娩的妇人。
15 我要使大山小丘一片荒凉，
上面的草木都枯萎。
我要使河川变成岛屿，
池塘干涸。
16 我要带领瞎子走他们不认识的路，
引导他们走陌生的道。
我要把他们面前的黑暗变为光明，
坎坷之地变得平坦。
我必行这些事，我必不离弃他们。
17 但那些信靠雕刻的偶像、
供奉金属铸像的必遭唾弃，
羞愧难当。

18 “耳聋的人啊，听吧！
眼瞎的人啊，看吧！
19 有谁比我的仆人更瞎，
比我差遣的使者更聋呢？
有谁像那些与我立约的人那样瞎呢？
有谁像耶和华的仆人那样瞎呢？
20 你们看见许多事却不领会，
耳朵开着却听不见。”
21 耶和华乐意使祂的律法尊大而荣耀，
因为祂行事公义。
22 但这些百姓饱受劫掠，
都被困在坑中，囚在监内。
他们沦为俘虏，无人搭救；
被当作战利品掳走，无人追回。
23 你们当中谁肯专心听呢？
以后谁肯留心倾听呢？
24 谁把雅各交给了掳掠者，
使以色列任人劫掠？
难道不是被我们得罪的耶和华吗？
他们不肯遵行祂的道，
也不听从祂的训诲。
25 所以，祂把烈怒和战火倾倒在他们身上。
他们被火包围，却不明白；
被烈火焚身，却不在乎。

42 Here is Avdi [Moshiach, see Zech 3:8; Isa 52:13], whom I uphold; Mine Bachir (Elect One, Chosen One), in whom My nefesh delighteth; I have put My Ruach [Hakodesh] upon Him; He [Moshiach] shall bring forth mishpat to the Goyim.
2 He [Moshiach] shall not cry out, nor lift up His kol (voice), nor cause it to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed shall He [Moshiach] not break, and a smoking wick shall He not quench; He shall bring forth mishpat according to emes.
4 He [Moshiach] shall not fail nor be discouraged, till He establish mishpat ba’aretz; and the iyim shall wait for His (Moshiach’s) torah [1C 9:21].
5 Thus saith HaEl Hashem, Boreh HaShomayim, and the One stretching them out; He that spread out ha’aretz, and that which cometh out of it as produce; He that giveth neshamah (soul) unto HaAm upon it, and ruach to them that walk thereon [See 1Th 5:23 OJBC]:
6 I Hashem have called Thee in tzedek, and will take hold of Thine yad, and will keep Thee, and give Thee [Moshiach] for a Brit (Covenant, Mt 26:28) of the Am (People), for an Ohr Goyim;
7 To open the einayim ivrot (blind eyes), to bring out the captives from confinement, and them that sit in choshech out of the bais keleh (dungeon, prison).
8 I am Hashem; that is Shmi; and My kavod will I not give to another, neither My tehillah (praise) to pesilim.
9 Hinei, the rishonot (former things) are come to pass, and chadashot (new things) do I declare; before titzmachnah (they spring forth; Tzemach) I tell you of them.
10 Sing unto Hashem a shir chadesh (new song), and His tehillah from the ketzeh ha’aretz, ye that go down to the yam, and all that is therein. You iyim (islands), and the inhabitants thereof.
11 Let the midbar and the towns thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit; let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy, let them shout from the rosh harim.
12 Let them give kavod unto Hashem, and declare His tehillah in the iyim.
13 Hashem shall go forth like a Gibbor, He shall arouse kina (zeal) like an ish milchamah; He shall shout, indeed, raise a war cry; He shall prevail against His oyevim.
14 I have me’olam held My peace; I have been quiet, and refrained Myself; now will I cry out like a travailing woman; I will lay waste and devour at once.
15 I will lay waste harim and geva’ot (hills), and dry up all their esev (vegetation); and I will make the neharot into iyim, and I will dry up agamim (pools, lakes).
16 And I will bring the ivrim (blind) by a derech that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known; I will make choshech into ohr before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
17 They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in pesel, that say to the masekhah (molten images), You (plural) are eloheinu (our g-ds).
18 Hear, ye chereshim (deaf people); and look, ye ivrim (blind people) that ye may see.
19 Who is ivver (blind), but Avdi (Yisroel]? Or cheresh (deaf), like malachi that I sent? Who is ivver (blind) like meshullam (the one committed) [to Me] and ivver like the Eved Hashem [i.e., Yisroel].
20 Seeing rabbot, but thou observest not; opening the oznayim, but he heareth not.
21 Hashem is well pleased lema’an (for the sake of) His tzedek; He will magnify the torah, and make it glorious.
22 But this is Am (People) robbed and looted; they are all of them snared in holes, or hidden in batei kela’im (dungeons): they are for plunder, and none delivereth; for loot, and none saith, Give it back!
23 Who among you will give ozen (ear) to this? Who will pay heed and hear for the time to come?
24 Who gave Ya’akov as loot, and Yisroel to ones plundering? Did not Hashem, He against Whom we have sinned? For they would not walk in the darkhei HaShem, neither were they obedient unto His torah.
25 Therefore He hath poured upon it the chemah (burning heat) of His anger, and the strength of the fury of milchamah; and it hath set him on fire round about, yet it knew not; and it consumed it, yet it laid it not to lev.

The Servant of the Lord
42 “Here is my servant,(A) whom I uphold,
my chosen one(B) in whom I delight;(C)
I will put my Spirit(D) on him,
and he will bring justice(E) to the nations.(F)
2 He will not shout or cry out,(G)
or raise his voice in the streets.
3 A bruised reed(H) he will not break,(I)
and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.(J)
In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;(K)
4 he will not falter or be discouraged
till he establishes justice(L) on earth.
In his teaching(M) the islands(N) will put their hope.”(O)
5 This is what God the Lord says—
the Creator of the heavens,(P) who stretches them out,
who spreads out the earth(Q) with all that springs from it,(R)
who gives breath(S) to its people,
and life to those who walk on it:
6 “I, the Lord, have called(T) you in righteousness;(U)
I will take hold of your hand.(V)
I will keep(W) you and will make you
to be a covenant(X) for the people
and a light(Y) for the Gentiles,(Z)
7 to open eyes that are blind,(AA)
to free(AB) captives from prison(AC)
and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.(AD)
8 “I am the Lord;(AE) that is my name!(AF)
I will not yield my glory to another(AG)
or my praise to idols.(AH)
9 See, the former things(AI) have taken place,
and new things I declare;
before they spring into being
I announce(AJ) them to you.”

10 Sing(AK) to the Lord a new song,(AL)
his praise(AM) from the ends of the earth,(AN)
you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,(AO)
you islands,(AP) and all who live in them.
11 Let the wilderness(AQ) and its towns raise their voices;
let the settlements where Kedar(AR) lives rejoice.
Let the people of Sela(AS) sing for joy;
let them shout from the mountaintops.(AT)
12 Let them give glory(AU) to the Lord
and proclaim his praise(AV) in the islands.(AW)
13 The Lord will march out like a champion,(AX)
like a warrior(AY) he will stir up his zeal;(AZ)
with a shout(BA) he will raise the battle cry
and will triumph over his enemies.(BB)
14 “For a long time I have kept silent,(BC)
I have been quiet and held myself back.(BD)
But now, like a woman in childbirth,
I cry out, I gasp and pant.(BE)
15 I will lay waste(BF) the mountains(BG) and hills
and dry up all their vegetation;
I will turn rivers into islands
and dry up(BH) the pools.
16 I will lead(BI) the blind(BJ) by ways they have not known,
along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light(BK) before them
and make the rough places smooth.(BL)
These are the things I will do;
I will not forsake(BM) them.
17 But those who trust in idols,
who say to images, ‘You are our gods,’(BN)
will be turned back in utter shame.(BO)
Israel Blind and Deaf
18 “Hear, you deaf;(BP)
look, you blind, and see!
19 Who is blind(BQ) but my servant,(BR)
and deaf like the messenger(BS) I send?
Who is blind like the one in covenant(BT) with me,
blind like the servant of the Lord?
20 You have seen many things, but you pay no attention;
your ears are open, but you do not listen.”(BU)
21 It pleased the Lord
for the sake(BV) of his righteousness
to make his law(BW) great and glorious.
22 But this is a people plundered(BX) and looted,
all of them trapped in pits(BY)
or hidden away in prisons.(BZ)
They have become plunder,
with no one to rescue them;(CA)
they have been made loot,
with no one to say, “Send them back.”
23 Which of you will listen to this
or pay close attention(CB) in time to come?
24 Who handed Jacob over to become loot,
and Israel to the plunderers?(CC)
Was it not the Lord,(CD)
against whom we have sinned?
For they would not follow(CE) his ways;
they did not obey his law.(CF)
25 So he poured out on them his burning anger,(CG)
the violence of war.
It enveloped them in flames,(CH) yet they did not understand;(CI)
it consumed them, but they did not take it to heart.(CJ)

42 Siehe, das ist mein Knecht, auf den ich mich verlassen kann,
mein Auserwählter, an welchem meine Seele Wohlgefallen hat.
Ich habe meinen Geist auf ihn gelegt;
er wird das Recht zu den Völkern hinaustragen.
2 Er wird nicht schreien und kein Aufhebens machen,
noch seine Stimme auf den Gassen hören lassen.
3 Das geknickte Rohr wird er nicht zerbrechen,
und den glimmenden Docht wird er nicht auslöschen;
wahrheitsgetreu wird er das Recht auseinandersetzen.
4 Er wird nicht ermatten und nicht zusammenbrechen,
bis er auf Erden das Recht gegründet hat;
und die Inseln werden auf seine Lehre warten.
5 So spricht Gott der Herr,
der die Himmel geschaffen und ausgespannt
und die Erde samt ihrem Gewächs ausgebreitet hat,
der dem Volk auf ihr Odem gibt
und Geist denen, die darauf wandeln:
6 Ich, der Herr, habe dich in Gerechtigkeit berufen
und ergreife dich bei deiner Hand
und will dich behüten und dich dem Volk zum Bund geben,
den Heiden zum Licht;
7 daß du die Augen der Blinden öffnest,
die Gebundenen aus dem Gefängnis führest
und aus dem Kerker die, so in der Finsternis sitzen.
8 Ich bin der Herr, das ist mein Name;
und ich will meine Ehre keinem andern geben,
noch meinen Ruhm den Götzen!
9 Siehe, das Frühere ist eingetroffen,
und Neues verkündige ich euch;
ehe es eintritt, lasse ich es euch hören.
Ein neues Lied dem Herrn
10 Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied
und traget seinen Ruhm bis ans Ende der Erde!
Was auf dem Meere fährt und was darinnen ist,
die Inseln und ihre Bewohner!
11 Die Wüste mit ihren Städten soll ihre Stimme erheben,
die Dörfer, in welchen Kedar wohnt;
die Bewohner der Felsen sollen frohlocken
und von den hohen Bergen herab jauchzen!
12 Sie sollen dem Herrn die Ehre geben
und seinen Ruhm auf den Inseln verkündigen!
13 Der Herr wird ausziehen wie ein Held,
wie ein Kriegsmann den Eifer anfachen;
er wird jauchzen und ein Kriegsgeschrei erheben,
er wird sich gegen seine Feinde als Held erweisen.
14 Ich habe lange geschwiegen,
bin stille gewesen und habe mich enthalten;
aber jetzt will ich schreien wie eine Gebärende
und schnauben und schnappen zumal.
15 Ich will Berge und Hügel verwüsten
und all ihr Gras verdorren lassen;
ich will Wasserflüsse in Inseln verwandeln und Seen austrocknen.
16 Ich will die Blinden auf einer Straße führen, welche sie nicht kennen,
und auf Pfaden leiten, die ihnen unbekannt sind;
ich werde die Finsternis vor ihnen zum Licht
und das Höckrichte zur Ebene machen.
Diese Worte werde ich erfüllen und nicht davon lassen.
17 Es sollen zurückweichen und tief beschämt werden,
die auf Götzen vertrauen
und zu gegossenen Bildern sagen:
Ihr seid unsre Götter!
Israel blind und taub
18 Ihr Tauben, höret,
und ihr Blinden, schauet her, um zu sehen!
19 Wer ist blind, wenn nicht mein Knecht,
oder so taub wie mein Bote, den ich gesandt habe?
Wer ist so blind wie der Vertraute
und so blind wie der Knecht des Herrn?
20 Du hast viel gesehen und es doch nicht beachtet,
die Ohren aufgetan und doch nicht gehört!
21 Es gefiel dem Herrn um seiner Gerechtigkeit willen,
das Gesetz groß und berühmt zu machen.
22 Und doch ist es ein beraubtes und ausgeplündertes Volk;
sie sind alle in Löchern verstrickt
und in Gefängnissen versteckt;
sie wurden zum Raub, und niemand rettet;
sie wurden zur Beute, und niemand sagt: Gib zurück!
23 Wer ist aber unter euch, der solches zu Ohren fasse,
der aufmerke und es künftig beachte?
24 Wer übergab Jakob zum Raub und Israel den Plünderern?
Ist's nicht der Herr,
wider den wir gesündigt haben,
und auf dessen Wegen sie nicht wandeln wollten
und dessen Gesetzen sie nicht gehorsam gewesen sind?
25 Darum hat er über ihn den Grimm seines Zorns
und die Schrecken des Krieges ausgegossen;
und er hat ihn allenthalben angezündet, aber man merkt es nicht,
und er hat ihn in Brand gesteckt,
aber man nimmt es nicht zu Herzen.
