警告以法蓮
28 以法蓮那些醉漢所戴的高傲冠冕，有禍了！
它在肥美谷山頂上的榮美，有禍了！
它必如將殘的花朵，
滿了喝醉酒的人。
2 看哪！主有一個大能大力的人，
像一陣冰雹、一陣毀滅的暴風，
像漲溢猛流的大水，
他必用手把它摔落地上。
3 以法蓮的醉漢所戴的高傲冠冕，必被踐踏在腳下。
4 它在肥美谷山頂上如將殘的花朵一般的榮美，
必像夏天以前初熟的無花果。
那些看見它的人，都必注意；
一到手裡，
就把它吞吃了。
警告耶路撒冷的領袖
5 到那日，
萬軍之耶和華必作他餘民榮耀的冠冕、美麗的華冠，
6 也必作在位上施行審判者公平的心靈，
並作在城門口擊退敵人者的力量。
7 就是這地的人，也因酒搖晃不定，
因濃酒東倒西歪；
祭司和先知都因濃酒搖晃不定，
被酒弄至昏亂，因濃酒東倒西歪。
他們見異象的時候，搖晃不定，
他們判斷的時候，也顛顛倒倒。
8 因為各席上都滿了污穢的嘔吐，沒有一處是乾淨的。
9 他們說：
“他要把知識教導誰呢？
要使誰明白他所傳的信息呢？
是那些剛斷奶，
剛離開母懷的嗎？
10 因為他所說的，
只是些重複又重複的話，
和毫無意義的字母，
這裡一點，那裡一點罷了。”
11 耶和華要藉著外族人的嘴唇和外族人的舌頭，
對這人民說話。
12 他曾對他們說：“這就是安息之處，你們若使疲乏的人得安息，就必得著這安歇的地方。”
但他們不肯聽從。
13 所以耶和華對他們所說的話，
就成了重複又重複的話，
和毫無意義的字母，
這裡一點，那裡一點，
以致他們雖然往前走，卻必仰面跌倒，並且跌傷，陷入網羅被纏住。
錫安的基石
14 因此好譏笑人的人哪！
就是管轄這些在耶路撒冷的人民的，
你們要聽耶和華的話。
15 因為你們曾說：“我們與死亡立了約，
與陰間結了盟；
刑罰的鞭子掃過的時候，必不會碰到我們，
因為我們以謊言作遮蔽，以虛假作庇護。”
16 所以主耶和華這樣說：
“看哪！我在錫安放置一塊石頭，
是試驗過的石頭，
是穩固的基石，寶貴的房角石；
信靠的人，必不著急。
17 我要以公平為準繩，
以公義為線鉈；
冰雹必把謊言的遮蔽沖去，
大水必漫過庇護所。”
18 你們與死亡所立的約要廢除，
你們與陰間所結的盟必立不住；
刑罰的鞭子掃過的時候，
你們就必被踐踏。
19 每次掃過的時候，都把你們抓去；
因為每早晨它必漫過，白天與黑夜也是這樣；
人若明白所傳的，必受驚恐。
20 床鋪太短，人就不能伸直，
被窩太窄，就蓋不住全身。
21 耶和華必像在毘拉心山一樣興起，
又像在基遍谷一樣發怒，
為要作成他的工，他那奇妙的工，
好成就他的事，就是奇異的事。
22 現在，你們不可再譏笑了，
免得捆綁你們的繩索綁得更緊，
因為我從主萬軍之耶和華那裡聽到，
決定要在全地上施行毀滅的事。
農務的比喻
23 你們要側耳聽我的聲音，
留心聽我的話。
24 農夫怎會不斷耕犁來撒種呢？
他怎會常常開墾耕地呢？
25 他犁平了地面，
不就撒種小茴香，播種大茴香，
按行列種小麥，
在指定的地方種大麥，在田邊種粗麥嗎？
26 因為他的 神教導他，指教他正確的方法。
27 打小茴香是不用尖耙的，
軋大茴香也不用碾輪；
而是用杖打小茴香，用棍打大茴香。
28 做餅的穀粒怎麼要碾碎的呢？
從來沒有人碾碎它們，
雖然他讓車輪和馬匹輥過穀粒，
卻不會把他們碾碎。
29 這也是出於萬軍之耶和華，
他的謀略奇妙，他的智慧廣大。

Woe to the Leaders of Ephraim and Judah
28 Woe(A) to that wreath, the pride of Ephraim’s(B) drunkards,
to the fading flower, his glorious beauty,
set on the head of a fertile valley(C)—
to that city, the pride of those laid low by wine!(D)
2 See, the Lord has one who is powerful(E) and strong.
Like a hailstorm(F) and a destructive wind,(G)
like a driving rain and a flooding(H) downpour,
he will throw it forcefully to the ground.
3 That wreath, the pride of Ephraim’s(I) drunkards,
will be trampled(J) underfoot.
4 That fading flower, his glorious beauty,
set on the head of a fertile valley,(K)
will be like figs(L) ripe before harvest—
as soon as people see them and take them in hand,
they swallow them.
5 In that day(M) the Lord Almighty
will be a glorious(N) crown,(O)
a beautiful wreath
for the remnant(P) of his people.
6 He will be a spirit of justice(Q)
to the one who sits in judgment,(R)
a source of strength
to those who turn back the battle(S) at the gate.
7 And these also stagger(T) from wine(U)
and reel(V) from beer:
Priests(W) and prophets(X) stagger from beer
and are befuddled with wine;
they reel from beer,
they stagger when seeing visions,(Y)
they stumble when rendering decisions.
8 All the tables are covered with vomit(Z)
and there is not a spot without filth.
9 “Who is it he is trying to teach?(AA)
To whom is he explaining his message?(AB)
To children weaned(AC) from their milk,(AD)
to those just taken from the breast?
10 For it is:
Do this, do that,
a rule for this, a rule for that[a];
a little here, a little there.(AE)”
11 Very well then, with foreign lips and strange tongues(AF)
God will speak to this people,(AG)
12 to whom he said,
“This is the resting place, let the weary rest”;(AH)
and, “This is the place of repose”—
but they would not listen.
13 So then, the word of the Lord to them will become:
Do this, do that,
a rule for this, a rule for that;
a little here, a little there(AI)—
so that as they go they will fall backward;
they will be injured(AJ) and snared and captured.(AK)
14 Therefore hear the word of the Lord,(AL) you scoffers(AM)
who rule this people in Jerusalem.
15 You boast, “We have entered into a covenant with death,(AN)
with the realm of the dead we have made an agreement.
When an overwhelming scourge sweeps by,(AO)
it cannot touch us,
for we have made a lie(AP) our refuge
and falsehood[b] our hiding place.(AQ)”
16 So this is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion,(AR) a tested stone,(AS)
a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation;(AT)
the one who relies on it
will never be stricken with panic.(AU)
17 I will make justice(AV) the measuring line
and righteousness the plumb line;(AW)
hail(AX) will sweep away your refuge, the lie,
and water will overflow(AY) your hiding place.
18 Your covenant with death will be annulled;
your agreement with the realm of the dead will not stand.(AZ)
When the overwhelming scourge sweeps by,(BA)
you will be beaten down(BB) by it.
19 As often as it comes it will carry you away;(BC)
morning after morning,(BD) by day and by night,
it will sweep through.”
The understanding of this message
will bring sheer terror.(BE)
20 The bed is too short to stretch out on,
the blanket too narrow to wrap around you.(BF)
21 The Lord will rise up as he did at Mount Perazim,(BG)
he will rouse himself as in the Valley of Gibeon(BH)—
to do his work,(BI) his strange work,
and perform his task, his alien task.
22 Now stop your mocking,(BJ)
or your chains will become heavier;
the Lord, the Lord Almighty, has told me
of the destruction decreed(BK) against the whole land.(BL)
23 Listen(BM) and hear my voice;
pay attention and hear what I say.
24 When a farmer plows for planting,(BN) does he plow continually?
Does he keep on breaking up and working the soil?
25 When he has leveled the surface,
does he not sow caraway and scatter cumin?(BO)
Does he not plant wheat in its place,[c]
barley(BP) in its plot,[d]
and spelt(BQ) in its field?
26 His God instructs him
and teaches(BR) him the right way.
27 Caraway is not threshed(BS) with a sledge,(BT)
nor is the wheel of a cart rolled over cumin;
caraway is beaten out with a rod,(BU)
and cumin with a stick.
28 Grain must be ground to make bread;
so one does not go on threshing it forever.
The wheels of a threshing cart(BV) may be rolled over it,
but one does not use horses to grind grain.
29 All this also comes from the Lord Almighty,
whose plan is wonderful,(BW)
whose wisdom is magnificent.(BX)

28 Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, whose glorious beauty is a fading flower, which are on the head of the fat valleys of them that are overcome with wine!
2 Behold, the Lord hath a mighty and strong one, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall cast down to the earth with the hand.
3 The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, shall be trodden under feet:
4 And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.
5 In that day shall the Lord of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
6 And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.
7 But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble in judgment.
8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean.
9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.
10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:
11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
13 But the word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.
14 Wherefore hear the word of the Lord, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem.
15 Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
19 From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report.
20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.
21 For the Lord shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.
22 Now therefore be ye not mockers, lest your bands be made strong: for I have heard from the Lord God of hosts a consumption, even determined upon the whole earth.
23 Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
24 Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
25 When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cummin, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?
26 For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
27 For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cummin; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cummin with a rod.
28 Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
29 This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.

28 Jaj Efraim részegei kevély koronájának és dicsõséges ékessége hervadó virágának, mely a bortól megverettek kövér völgye fején van.
2 Ímé, egy erõs és hatalmas [jõ] az Úrtól, mint jégfergeteg, veszedelmes szélvész, mint özönlõ erõs vizeknek áradása: földhöz veri kezével azt!
3 Lábbal tapodtatik meg Efraim részegeinek kevély koronája,
4 És úgy jár dicsõséges ékességének hervadó virága, a mely a kövér völgynek fején van, mint a korai füge a gyümölcsszedés elõtt, a melyet mihelyt valaki meglát, alig veszi kezébe, lenyeli.
5 Ama napon a seregek Ura lesz ékes koronája és dicsõséges koszorúja népe maradékának;
6 És ítéletnek lelke annak, a ki az ítélõszékben ül, és erõsség azoknak, a kik visszanyomják a kapuig az ellenséget.
7 De ezek is tántorognak a bor miatt, és szédülnek a részegítõ italtól: pap és próféta tántorog részegítõ ital miatt, a bor elnyelte õket, szédülnek a részegítõ ital miatt, tántorognak a jövendõlátásban, és inognak az ítéletmondásban;
8 Mert minden asztal telve undok okádással, úgy hogy hely sincs a nélkül.
9 Kit tanít tudományra? A tanítást kivel érteti meg? A tejtõl elszakasztottakkal-é és a csecstõl elválasztottakkal-é?
10 Mivel parancsra új parancs, parancsra új parancs, szabályra új szabály, szabályra új szabály; itt egy kicsi, ott egy kicsi.
11 Ezért dadogó ajakkal és idegen nyelven fog szólni e néphez,
12 Õ, a ki ezt mondá nékik: Ez a nyugalom, hogy nyugtassátok meg a megfáradottat, és ez a pihenés! És nem akarták hallani!
13 És lõn nékik az Úr beszéde parancsra új parancs, parancsra új parancs, szabályra új szabály, szabályra új szabály; itt egy kicsi, ott egy kicsi; hogy járjanak és hátra essenek és összetöressenek és tõrbe jussanak és megfogassanak!
14 Ezért halljátok az Úrnak beszédét, csúfoló férfiak, a kik uralkodtok e népen, a mely Jeruzsálemben lakik.
15 Mert így szóltok: Frigyet kötöttünk a halállal, a sírral meg szövetséget csináltunk; az ostorozó áradat ha jõ, nem ér el minket; mert a hazugságot választók oltalmunkul, és csalásba rejtezénk el!
16 Ezért így szól az Úr Isten: Ímé, Sionban egy követ tettem le, egy próbakövet, drága szegletkövet, erõs alappal, a ki [benne] hisz, az nem fut!
17 És a jogosságot mérõkötéllé tevém, és az igazságot színlelõvé, és jég söpri el a hazugság oltalmát, és vizek ragadják el a rejteket.
18 És eltöröltetik a halállal való frigyetek, és a sírral való szövetségtek meg nem áll; az ostorozó áradat ha eljõ, eltapod titeket,
19 S a hányszor eljõ, elragad titeket; mert minden reggel eljõ, nappal és éjszaka; borzalom megértetni e tanítást;
20 Mert rövid lesz az ágy, hogy benne kinyujtózhassék, és a takaró szûk lesz az elrejtõzéskor.
21 Mert mint a Perázim hegyén, felkel az Úr, és mint Gibeon völgyében, megharagszik, hogy megtegye munkáját, a mely szokatlan lesz, és hogy cselekedje dolgát a mely hallatlan lesz.
22 És most ne csúfolódjatok, hogy köteleitek szorosabbak ne legyenek; mert elvégzett pusztítást hallottam az Úrtól, a seregek Urától, az egész föld felett.
23 Vegyétek füleitekbe és halljátok szavam', figyeljetek és hallgassátok beszédem'!
24 Hát mindig szánt-é a szántó, hogy vessen, és barázdálja és boronálja-é földét?
25 Nemde, mikor elegyengette színét, hint fekete köményt, és szór illatos köményt, s vet sorban búzát és árpát a kijelölt földbe, és tönkölyt a szélére?
26 Így szoktatá õt rendre és tanítá Istene.
27 Mert nem cséplõ szánkával csépelik a fekete köményt, és nem szekér kerekével tapodják az illatos köményt; a fekete köményt bottal verik ki, és az illatost pálczával;
28 A búzát csépelik; de nem örökre csépli azt, és bár hajtja rajta szekere kerekét és lovait, de szét nem töreti.
29 Ez is a seregek Urától származott: Õ ád csodás tanácsot és nagyságos bölcseséget!
